Hotel ratings by criteria:
I had a rest at the Saphir Resort & SPA 5 * hotel (Okurcalar village) (hereinafter referred to as the 5 * hotel) in May 2010.
I bought a ticket to the Saphir Hotel 4 * in Konakli (hereinafter referred to as the 4 * hotel), as the reviews about it were very good and suited its location, but on the way from the airport to the hotel they were "delighted": that hotel was overcrowded (sold in 2 times more vouchers than they were able to accommodate), so they are being taken to a 5 * hotel.
Now about the 5* hotel.
Pros: 5* food and drinks. The area is clean, beautiful, normal beach.
Rest:
Bracelets that are worn on the hand cause allergies and the letters are erased after a week.
There are practically no paper napkins on the tables in the restaurant. Cutlery is simply placed on tablecloths, which are not always clean. In bars on the street, alcohol is poured into plastic cups - maybe someone likes to feel like in an eatery, but this is not the level of a 5 * hotel.

Poor housekeeping. Cleaning time for one room is less than 5 minutes. For two weeks the balcony was not cleaned even once (it's just disgusting to touch the railing and towel dryer).
Umbrellas on the beach and near the pools are of such a design that it is impossible for a woman to open them alone - they are so tight. There is one worker on the beach, who physically cannot be in time everywhere and help everyone, and even bring mattresses.
Animation Entertainment: still nothing during the day, the guys are trying, although every day is the same. At least they changed the order of games and activities. BUT: after the mini-disco (for children from 20.45 to 21.45) and until 24.00 (the beginning of the disco) there is a show, i. e. amateur performance by animators with such a vulgar bias that it is simply disgusting for a normal person to watch. And how many people need a disco after 24.00?
Shouts in the street in the middle of the night interfere with rest (they usually shout in Turkish, i. e. workers).
Once in 2 weeks there was a "Turkish Night". Sorry sight! Turkish dances (not for long! ) were still nothing, and then the girl with the expression "how tired I am of you all" performed a belly dance, very sluggish and uninteresting. Even in another level 4 hotel, I saw much more (and Turkish drums, and spinning dervishes, and a foam disco... ).
Now about the hotel guide. Hosted by Tez Tour. I have rested with this company 2 times before and have always been satisfied, but this time the guide VICTOR KARABAEV made a bad impression. Very smart, kind of friendly, talkative, but from what he says, the truth is 20 percent. Everything is designed for tourists who are in Turkey for the first time. When you start to catch on a lie, he gets very offended and stops noticing you.
I went on an excursion to Pamukkale 4 days before the accident with Russian tourists. Could get in the same way: the bus was driven by ONE driver! We left at 3 o'clock in the morning, returned at 23 o'clock, i. e. the driver is almost a day behind the wheel! On the way back, the tourists made sure that he did not fall asleep!

CONCLUSION: in a 5 * hotel, only the kitchen corresponds to a rating of 5, everything else is very average. I rested in Turkey for the fifth time, I was in different hotels, so there is something to compare with. Rave reviews are written by those who are in Turkey for the first time or simply do not know how it should be in a 5 * hotel.
