Just got back from GREEN HILL BAY. Let me tell you, we really enjoyed it. Great place for a family holiday. If you want a noisy and night life - choose another hotel. 80% - Russians, Belarusians and Ukrainians. The staff is Russian speaking. We were in Turkey for the first time, three of us traveled (2 adults and a child 8 years old). Before the trip, we chose the hotel very carefully, read a bunch of reviews. Bribed that frankly bad was not.

1. We went with a TEZ tour. All at the highest level! From meeting at the airport, support at the hotel and until departure. Moreover, this hotel has 2 guides (Alkhan and Shamil), who almost live in it (from 9 am to 9 pm), so any questions were resolved without problems!

2. Territory. A very large, beautiful area, houses are scattered on a high bank, everything is buried in greenery and flowers. We knew that we would need to walk a lot, this did not become news.

If you want to spend your vacation without leaving your room or getting up from a sun lounger on the beach - choose another hotel with a small area and a pool at the hotel steps.

3. Accommodation. The hotel is located on a high bank and consists of 1.2-3 storey cottages. Immediately at the reception they gave $ 20 and asked for a nice room with a sea view! We got a wonderful room in the center of the hotel, next to the pool and restaurant, on the 2nd floor and overlooking the sea! Just a class, in comparison with those that others have. Everything worked in the room, nothing leaked, air conditioning, TV, hairdryer, hot water all the time, soap, shampoo, etc.

4. Nutrition. Restaurant with a beautiful sea view. The food is varied, up to 15 types of salads, a lot of meat, fish. Constantly something is fried in the fresh air (from fish to scrambled eggs). All locally produced drinks are of good quality, with the exception of juice, or rather, as it was called (very watered down! ). Take fresh, which they make right there for $ 2.
And most importantly: no matter what time you come, you will have enough of everything. We were very afraid of this, having read reviews from other hotels that you need to come earlier, take a seat and queue, otherwise you won’t get anything. We came several times 15 minutes before the end of lunch or dinner and everything was as it was at the beginning! A lot of fruits - grapes, watermelons, melons, peaches, plums, oranges - all in an unlimited number.

5. The only small minus is the beach. Or rather, not himself, but the view from him to the sea. Bordered on 3 sides by piers. This is both a plus and a minus. Plus - no waves and very warm water. Minus the view. But if it's important for you - move 100 meters from the side and you will have both the view and the sea. On the territory of 2 pools with water slides + another one in Kemal Vai, admission is free there. At any time, a large number of free sun beds both by the sea and by the pools.

6. Excursions.

We read a lot about them on the Internet, we knew that they were cheaper outside the gates of hotels, but we still took them from the TEZ tour guides. We came to relax, not to count pennies, and the $5-10 difference for the great convenience that the TEZ tour gives is not important! We didn’t have to go anywhere, look for anything, look for anything, we just said where we wanted to go, and the bus just came for us. Please note - many excursions are designed for the whole day from 8.00 to 18-19.00. Be sure to go to the Turkish bath ($25), rafting ($50), diving ($65). You can ride a yacht ($ 30) or sightseeing tours.

7. Car rental. We decided to rent a car at home. Therefore, the approximate prices knew. We took it through the guides of the TEZ tour. Again, the car was driven under the door at the appointed time. Ford Fiesta 200.1. 4 gasoline, with air conditioning and mileage of 30 thousand in general, almost new. It cost $55. This amount includes rental, insurance. Read carefully! The insurance does not include windows, headlights and tires!
There is a graph there, for a surcharge of $ 10, all this is covered completely. Keep in mind, a headlight or glass can cost $300-500. And even if you are not guilty, you still have to pay. Therefore, do not regret another 10. As a result: $ 65 and full insurance! Plus gasoline! Terribly expensive! $2 per litre. As a result, 12 liters of "95" were poured into us for $ 20 and 5 euros. Please note that the consumption on mountain roads and with the air conditioner turned on will be more than usual. There are a lot of gas stations, you will find it without problems. Refuel either for money or for liters. That is, either for a certain amount, which is easier, or a certain number of liters. You can pay with any currency, they take everything. Buy a map, the roads are great. Be sure to buckle up, although we did not see the police, having traveled 150 km. And further. Taking the car, we ourselves went around all the shops and bought what we wanted. Plus we went to the caves and climbed by car to the fortress of Alanya. As a result: 65 car + 25 gasoline + 15 fortress and caves (for three) = $ 105. A sightseeing tour of Alanya for three - $ 90.
The difference is small, because we were our own masters, we went where we wanted and bought what we wanted, and not where they would take us. In general, do not be afraid, rent a car. Don't forget to take the law from home!

6. Service and tips. All staff is Russian speaking. Everyone is very friendly, not rude, not rude, but no one asks for tips! When you leave the restaurant, the chefs ask how you liked it, whether everything was ok. We always left $ 1 for the maid for cleaning, so she did this with linen - she twisted both pigeons and swans, and when we left 1 euro, she generally decorated it with rose petals. In general, do not spare money - this is not money, but you will be very pleased! They also gave $ 1 to porters and drivers. Treat people the way you would like to be treated and you'll be fine! We encountered outright extortion of tips only once - in the Turkish bath "Pasha". They didn’t even hint, but said that you owe a tip.
When they said that there was no money, they followed us on our heels, leaving other customers and looking into our eyes until they gave $ 2 each - change from the purchased ice cream to the child. But this was more of an exception. This has never happened in the hotel in 10 days!

8. Animation. Liked it, especially the kids. Animation shared by 2 hotels, ours and Kemal Bay. What I especially liked - if you don’t want to - you won’t be bothered, if you want to have fun - everything will be ok. There were competitions, and discos and shows and a lottery, where a gold chain was played, etc.

9. Shopping and bargaining. Take more money with you. Turkey is a country of gold and leather. In any case, buy cheaper than at home. We were going to buy a sheepskin coat for the child. Having traveled around several stores in Alanya, we bought a chic sheepskin coat for a girl of 8 years old, pink for $ 220. At least, at home, we have not even seen something like this, not to mention the price. Of course, you could buy for $50, there were some, but then why go to Turkey?
You can buy the same from the subway. We started trading at $330. The minimum price for which it could be bought is about 180-190. But our daughter wanted her so much, dressed her and spun at the mirror, that the Turk just rested. There were also in an expensive 3-storey leather store in the center. Things without questions are of high quality, not self-made. For a chic white women's jacket, they asked for 350 euros. We bargained up to 180. In general, the conclusion is this - up to 30% can be thrown off without problems. 50% - not always and you will have to bargain for a very long time. The gold is of high quality, there are many shops. Large with certificates at the entrance. Cheaper than ours for sure. And most importantly - a huge selection.

General conclusion: if you want a family holiday without problems - go to this hotel! Moreover, for the price it is very attractive. And do not pay attention to the little things, you came to rest, and not look for flaws and count pennies. Spend your vacation in a way that you will remember it. And treat people kindly - and everything will be ok.
And be a little sociable!
