While I was resting, I was mentally building a plan for my review (and I read a great many of them before leaving). We returned on June 10, went with my son 12 years old. I can say the first thing, only if you are ready for all the minuses that have already been written about here a lot, you will get real pleasure from relaxing in this hotel. There are a lot of cons, but there are two huge pluses - price and territory. This for me became decisive. For everything else (except for the nightmarish settlement), I was ready. We were hosted by Tez-tour. We arrived at 8 in the morning (the flight was difficult, 5 hours, I probably turned gray during this time), met in an organized manner, the buses are excellent, clean, with air conditioning (in general, all their drivers are well-trained, ironed clothes, they drive like jewelers). The hotel is about 2 hours away. This is where it all started. Check-in there only after 14.00, we were kindly put on bracelets and we went for a walk, then had lunch. By 2 o'clock the situation was tense, everyone was tired (there were no conditions to change clothes). And there are 35 people like us. Everyone is kindly met and sent to dinner, having promised a room. After a while, we begin to understand that they simply do not have free rooms and they cannot accommodate everyone. There was a terrible scandal, the children roared, adults, for good and for bad, demanded to provide places in another hotel. They called the TEZ-tour office, the wonderful (as it turned out later) Saltanat arrived, she couldn’t do anything. About 10 people were taken to another hotel (with a meager territory), we had already raised everyone by the ears, were going to call the embassy, threatened. In the end, we were given a room without furniture, wires sticking out of the walls, just mattresses on the floor (but the bed is clean, there is a shower, there is air conditioning). They gave a written assurance that the rooms would be provided in the morning, and it happened. But 10 people received them only after dinner. As a result, almost one day of rest (and we had 7 of them in total) was lost due to these troubles. The same story was with the hard tourists who came after us, they all spent the first night in those half-finished rooms.
Now further. I was very surprised (though I only rest in Turkey 2 times) that there are no air conditioners in the reception building and the restaurant (only fans). Such heat (and Alanya is the hottest of all regions) and there is no way to rest from it (only in the room). Poor arriving people are forced to sit there waiting for a room for several hours. At lunchtime, I also wanted to hide from the heat and dine in the cold, there was no such opportunity. I didn’t bother about food, I knew what was waiting for me (for all the time there were only apples and oranges). There is meat, don’t worry, there is chicken, beef (although you need to catch it from vegetables), they give fried wings, there were grilled chickens (but you’ll laugh in line for them). You can find it to your taste, I knew that the hotel was an economy class. But dirty dishes are really unforgivable. Especially glasses, that's something. Turbid, it is disgusting to drink from them. The wine is sour and not aged at all, cocktails are poured into a warm glass (almost no wine glasses are used), ice will be added only if insisted. I am not interested in alcohol, I was content with satisfactory beer. It leaves the impression of a pigsty. Plates must be looked for without crumbs, but you can find them. Of course, the restaurant-dining room is also with a low status, but oh well, everything was compensated by the sea view. I didn’t like that the waiters were in a hurry to quickly remove dirty dishes from your table. For dinner, they come up several times, they can remove the glass even if it is not empty. It got boring. Well, and even to scare you completely (just kidding). -The sea and the beach are really dirty. There are bags, paper, etc. in the water. In the past, we rested in Kemer, where the beach is pebbly, the water is the most transparent. Sand of course creates haze. The beach itself is cleaned very little. Sun loungers must be borrowed no later than 7 am, but this is if you want to be at sea in the first half. After 12 hours, there are always free ones. Both pools are very good, the water in them is clean and updated. The beauty around is creepy (in a good sense of the word), the views are excellent. True, all plants exist on their own. Of course they are watered, but not trimmed. This is the merit of mother nature, not the staff.
The kids club is located on the sand with pebbles. It's very dirty, plastic cups everywhere. But the kids love it there. In general, children up to 7-8 years old are engaged all day. But my 12 year old son was bored. Only volleyball and darts. Not recommended for children under 4 years old. A very large territory, even if you are placed lower, there are still rises everywhere. We were put in room 755, which is almost at the very top. The room is very spacious, new, everything works, sea view. High, yes, but it has its perks. We got the opportunity to see all the heavenly corners of the hotel and at the same time did not annoy the noise and mosquitoes (a friend from room 212 complained about them). Rubbish was cleaned every day, towels were also changed regularly. The bed is very comfortable, linen is clean. I was struck by people who write that they were delivered to their room on a monkey. This is an open car (we were taken on a bus, we suffocated in it), the wooden partitions are painted white. You better enjoy the view and fresh air while you are being driven to your room. The funicular is just fun, moving slowly and only until the middle of the path that we needed to overcome. The animation is good, but only thanks to OKI-DOKI. Without it, all other animators are worth nothing. Girls work well with children, but with an adult audience only with the direct participation of everyone's favorite comedian. Great talent. Well, like everything. Now the summary: the hotel in which I rested last year is higher than the level, Green Hill loses in many ways. But I can give my rest a rating of -5 and remember the hotel with warmth. If you can afford to pay extra, then it's better to do so. At least we don’t have to run around and buy fruits to eat something that is not yet at home (and now Turkey is already full of watermelons, plums, apricots, peaches, melons, cherries, strawberries). If this is your first vacation - go boldly. You'll like it. How can one not like such nature, the sea, the sun? And the staff is generally friendly, the children are generally treated with trepidation. If you have questions, ask. Have a great time in Green Hill. I hope my review will help you make a decision.
