a year ago in July 2007 I went to Turkey - Alanya - Mahmutlar, to the 4 * "Ares" hotel - this is horror... I have something to compare with... we quickly moved to Sun Star
MAIN THING: the hotel is BORDEAUX, not olive!! ! It looks like someone is colorblind. . .
1. food in Turkey is the same everywhere 3 * -4 * -5 * no difference... they all buy products in the same place... the ratio of meat and soy in products is 50x50... a Muslim country, what else did you want ? ? ? but I ate a lot and did not feel any discomfort or heaviness in the stomach - spending one week a year without meat is only for the best...

drinks: in San Stare there are good juices, mineral waters... if we compare that in Ares we were given water by UPI, and at 23.00 the machines were turned off, and at the entrance to the hotel I constantly check if you have food or water in your bag - this is terrible. . . in Sun Star - bring whatever you want, and water in the cooler around the clock... and you can make tea or coffee at 7 in the morning, and not wait 10 as in many hotels...
2. The territory is small. . . but I don’t see anything wrong here. . . across the road there is a beautiful park with a fountain and benches. . . and in general it’s very pleasant to walk around Mahmutlar. . . a cemetery. . . I don’t understand why everyone got mad at him... these are not Russian folk cemeteries with ugly crosses and terrible artificial flowers on the graves... this is a TURKISH cemetery... it is beautiful !! ! I really didn’t dare to climb over the fence and take a picture there - but I still have everything ahead... and I found out that this is a cemetery 2 days before departure - it is fenced...
3. the beach. . . an inconvenient entrance to the sea. . . that's how it is all over Turkey. . . in the village of Konakli it's generally unrealistic to go into the water. . . and so that cigarette butts do not lie on the beach, don't throw them there!! ! I smoke myself and I collect all my cigarette butts in a glass, and then I throw them in the trash can...
4. The animation is quiet... and believe me, this is a plus... in most Turkish hotels the music is very loud all day long - hits of the 90s... and Russian pop music... and it's terrible... especially if you drank and danced all night, then it’s unrealistic to listen to this in the morning... in San Star it’s not there...
every evening we sat by the pool and just talked about life... no one bothered us to do this... the waiter takes orders and you don’t have to drag yourself to the bar counter... sometimes in the evening, right after dinner, we went to Alanya to the market . . It's very beautiful there. . . it has its own flavor. . . the price of things and souvenirs can be dropped exactly 2 times. . . that is, if they tell you that a T-shirt costs $20, it really costs $10 and you shouldn't buy it for more... in Turkey there are world stocks of clothes and tailoring factories... it is from these factories that the Turks steal things or make them more than necessary, in order to sell them later...

everything you see in stores in Kyiv and Moscow is Turkey or China with extra charges. . .
every evening around 22.00-23.00 we went to Alanya to discos... amazing movement on the waterfront!! ! a mixture of tourists from all countries... out of principle, I spoke Ukrainian (many Turks know Russian well, they just don’t admit it) and everyone thought that I was from Italy... it was fun... a minibus to Alanya costs 1 dollar or one euro. . .
5. the attitude of the staff pleases... the owners of the hotel every evening sit at the animation and look after the order... the manager Murat now and then runs from table to table asking if everything is fine... no one sticks to you and calls you Natasha (and in Ares, a chef who was 56 invited us to a wild nudist beach). . . in San Star it's a taboo. . .
one thing can be said - everything is known in comparison... go, for example, to Ares for the same money and you will understand... and in general my day was like this: I ate in the morning - I went to sleep on the beach - the main thing is to set the alarm clock correctly so as not to burn out , after which lunch - relaxing by the pool or again the beach (I sunbathed from 13.00 to 16.00) and didn’t burn out... so don’t believe it’s dangerous... then dinner - and walk in Alanya... so I don’t care about animation at all was... I have enough songs and concerts at work...
and yet - if you don’t be rude in a hotel and don’t behave boorishly, but communicate with the Turks as with people, then wonderful prospects may open up for you:
1) go to Alanya every evening for free and also go to the best discos for free.
2) the owner of the hotel has many friends who trade in the market - you can buy clothes and souvenirs very cheaply, and you will not be deceived.
3) if Suleiman (the owner of the hotel) has free time, exciting excursions around Alanya await you. . .
and it's all just like that - no one there will pester you for this and drag you into bed too...
the Turks are very smart and courteous... this is not Egypt for you...

if someone is interested in the hotel - write to me on the soap, I can answer all questions, and also tell which travel agency, Ukrainian, is better to buy there
