We rested in Turkey for the first time, three of us, including a child of 10 years old. For the child, this was the first trip abroad.
So, point by point:
1. Beach. Sea.
The beach is small, double (on both sides of the pontoon), with its size it does not stand next to Egypt, Tunisia, the Canaries.
Despite the fact that the beach is sandy, the entry into the sea is pebbly. Further and at a depth, the beach is again sandy. Here is such a paradox that I have not encountered anywhere before. It saves that there is a pontoon and you can go down the stairs into the water, bypassing the nasty pebbles.
If you want to take a sunbed by the sea, you have to get up at seven o'clock.
The water in the sea is IMHO cold - 22-23 degrees. Water is not transparent. There are no fish at all, except for flocks of fry.
In general, the sea was not very pleasant. Better than Black, but worse than Red. In Greece, Tunisia, Spain, the Mediterranean Sea is much better and cleaner.

Tents in the form of aerariums are interconnected, so there can be no talk of any privacy (unlike beaches, where stand-alone umbrellas are located at a sufficient distance from each other). Thus, the beach resembles a communal apartment, where strangers, numerous children, and so on will be in close proximity to you. the joys of life. The only opportunity for relative privacy is to rent a mini-bungalow on a pontoon for $40 a day. But from my own experience, I’ll say that this does not guarantee you from a noisy neighborhood, it will simply be more distant from you (a noisy company of seven people turned out to be next to us, despite the fact that the bungalow has a maximum of four people, although, of course, if you wish, you can go there with the whole camp) .
2. Hotel.
The only feature of the hotel is copies of our historical sights (Historical Museum, the Palace of Congresses, St. Basil's Cathedral, the Bolshoi Theater).
2.1. Settlement
For the first time in the long history of travel, we were waiting for the settlement, even for the money they did not agree to settle us right away. We arrived at nine in the morning, settled us at twelve (of the day). While away the time, first at breakfast, then on the beach. After a sleepless night for a child, this was problematic.
The reception staff does not speak English or Russian well. There is no left-luggage office for large suitcases, while you are waiting for check-in, they stand in front of the hotel entrance. You can also carry them with you)))) But we didn’t lose anything, so you can leave your suitcases at the entrance, and carry valuables in your bag.
2.2. Composition of vacationers, occupancy
The hotel is 100% full. There are a lot of people, VERY MUCH. Composition of vacationers (Russia and the CIS - 95%, while Russia - 99% of the regions, the CIS countries - a lot of Kazakhs, little Turks, etc. ). Lots of kids of all ages. Draw your own conclusions about the comfort of such an environment.
2.3. Number.
The number is the most common. TV "rare". Antique furniture. When checking in, I had to call the reception, demand a bed for the child (the room was ordered for 3 people, when they arrived, there were 3 beds), although the maid came almost instantly, rammed the bed, and quickly prepared everything. There was really no strength to change the number and demand a better one. The maids do not understand any language other than Turkish. Communication is in sign language. For the tip, our maid tried to give us a basket of flowers)))))))))).
2.4. Nutrition

In the main buffet restaurant, the food is quite normal, but the 100% occupancy of the hotel is especially felt in the restaurant. As a result, queues for watermelons, strawberries, pancakes, etc. All this is given on the terrace, on the first day we had to look for this terrace)))))).
Ice cream is served on the terrace of St. Basil's Cathedral, be careful, it melts VERY quickly, national Turkish dishes are served in the tent (something from puff pastry with different fillings, I have not tried it), in a cafe by the beach - salads, hamburgers, french fries. In all bars - beer, ayran, etc.
2.5. Territory
It cannot be said that a particularly large area, but the trees - especially cedars, arborvitae - are simply stunningly beautiful.
And most importantly, cats live in a special house on the territory of the hotel (a mature cat, a kitty with obvious signs of pregnancy, a couple of kittens). Don't forget to feed them, please.
3. Animation
Outrageously incompetent IMHO. In Egypt, there were circus and entertainment shows every day, but here only a couple of times a week. On Sunday, the animators have a day off. It's good that the waiters have no day off, and so on. personnel. One of the shows was a beauty contest - many took their children away from it, because it went. The host was the most tongue-tied, vulgar and poorly knowledgeable Russian Turk. The presenter spoke first in Turkish - for a dozen Turks, then in German - for one German, who was specially sought out in the hall, and only then in Russian. In my opinion, it's a form of disgrace. I really wanted to get up and leave.
4. Entertainment
Mini water park by the pool (free of charge).
One free children's playground by the sea with slides, fitness equipment, tennis courts (not open on weekends).
Paid playground with attractions (for tokens), slot machines in the lobby, billiards, bowling, computer. games (all for a fee), 6D cinema on the street (10 dollars for 1 movie).
On Friday there were camels. The child rode happily. On other days camels were not seen.
SUMMARY:

In general, the hotel is not bad for families with children. The hotel does not deserve 5 stars at all. Solid four. You can go once. For a week for three, we paid 100 thousand. I think it's expensive for a vacation of this quality. For that kind of money, you want something of a higher level. They also spent a lot on the spot (on Kinder). Parents - do not allow your children to stand and beg for tokens from other children, this is unacceptable. Either keep them out of the slot machines or buy them tokens.
There is a suspicion that with such a rush demand, management is simply spoiled and works according to the principle - "people already eat it up. "
I believe that in Turkey, as in Egypt, you need to go to world branded hotels (Hilton, Marriott, Sheraton, Carlton, Iberotel, etc. ). Small-town brands are not ice, just try exotics for once. Although, there is a strong intuitive feeling that the quality of recreation in both Egypt and Turkey will only get worse and worse from year to year, and other countries need to be explored.
P. S. The situation is normal, no disturbances were noticed at all. True, they did not leave the hotel anywhere. On excursions in connection with the riots did not go.
When you check in, you will be given a little yellow book, but no one will warn you that this is not just a key case. All information about the hotel, including restaurant opening hours and a map of the hotel, can be found there. At first I unsuccessfully tried to look for information about the hotel in the folders in the room, and two days later it suddenly dawned on me to flip through the book.
Wi-Fi in the hotel is free, but bad. The signal in the rooms is very weak, so it’s hardly worth taking a paid service, the signal from this will not become stronger IMHO, and leaving the room with paid Wi-Fi for a normal connection to the Internet is not to respect yourself. The bad specificity of Wi-Fi is that you have to enter the network every time again. A strong signal does not guarantee that there will be an Internet. I didn't send messages for half a day.
Shampoo and hair balm are recommended to take with you. In the room there is only soap in dispensers by the sink and shower, a tube of hair balm is purely symbolic, souvenir.
I would especially like to note the unrealistically delicious paid corn ($ 3), be sure to try it, it is sweet, juicy, we ate it without salt. Paid ice cream is also much tastier and more varied than free ice cream.
