I rested with my family in "Venice" from June 21 to July 5.2017 in a standard room 1346, overlooking the pool. Children are 5 and 7 years old. I chose this hotel only because I was in WOW Topkapi Palace and WOW Kremlin Palace 4 years ago. Then this "Venice" had the prefix "WOW", and I boldly chose "Venice" from the good memory of the first two hotels. Although I noticed, of course, that it had already been sold (the inscription WOW disappeared). Yes, and this hotel cost $ 500 cheaper for 2 weeks, and I decidedly fell for it. A miser pays twice is a great saying.
Before the flight, of course, I read that the hotel rooms smell like mold and all that ...But not to the same extent, guys ...When we checked in, I thought that the maid just applied some kind of chemistry with a poisonous smell to the room removing some stains. It stank strongly, almost to tears from the eyes.
But, this didn’t particularly alarm me, I just opened the window and decided to air it out ...It was +28 degrees outside the window (cold June), and I didn’t even think to check the air conditioner. After 5 minutes, our suitcases were dragged, and we began to unpack. By evening, I turned on the air conditioner ...and then we all understood - the stench of this chemistry came from him. After another 30 seconds, I realized that this pungent smell is not chemistry at all, but a clot of a large accumulation of mold. The stench was like in a cellar in a garage in the very farthest room, where cans of conservation are usually covered with a layer of such white mold 1 cm thick.

Since my wife decided to quietly take her entire wardrobe with her to the sea in 4 suitcases, half of which we had already laid out by that time, I discarded the thought of moving. And the first three days were not particularly hot.
By evening, there was no smell in the room, if you do not turn on the air conditioner. What it is: in the ceiling - an ordinary office fan coil unit (a pipe through which cold water flows). The intake of hot air, so that you understand, goes in your own room, that is, there are no air ducts (the fan simply drives the air from your own room into your own room, cooling it down). That is, the mold could simply be eliminated by changing the filters. The question is - where did the administration look?
In total, I spent 10 nights without air conditioning. Three days later it became +44 on the street. I contacted the reception three times. The new owners of the hotel recruited exclusively Turks. They seem to speak Russian, but they don't want to understand your problem at all. They came to the room, each time they showed how to close the balcony door so that it starts to blow cold.
When I told them that I had fungus spores and mold in the ceiling (I translated it to them on the phone from Russian into Turkish), that you can’t be here and all that, they said: “OK, 5 minutes, we’ll come now! ! And, of course, no one came. In general, I spat on this situation, because I have only one thought - if it stinks in me, it will be in other rooms - well, maybe a little better, it makes sense to move from one mold to another.
10 nights you sleep with an open window like a sleepwalker. If the windows overlook the pool, consider that your vacation was a success - you will listen all night how water is poured on the territory of the hotel, cats yell, carts with some kind of dirty dishes or linen are carried, vacationers chatting among themselves, walking drunk with disco. I'm not talking about the round-the-clock traveling suitcases of guests arriving and departing all night.

The sound of discos until one in the morning ...In short, I slept with my eyes open, occasionally going out onto the balcony and trying to throw a bottle on the head of some talkers at 4 in the morning ...unfortunately, trees interfered, accuracy was poor.
In general, on the 10th day, I still got through to the Russian-speaking women in the room called "Gastrolation", and from the expression on my face (it was apathy and apocalypse), they realized that the air conditioner needs to be cleaned today - whatever no matter. Cleaned up. It didn’t seem to stink, I didn’t open the windows for 4 nights, it became quieter. I flew home, pus was coming out of my throat and nose, I was sick. Wife and children are not. Maybe it's not the mold. But, I think that it is in it, since I am allergic. Because of the coming heat - the first 10 nights I even had to take a full bath of cold water, turn on the hood in the toilet.
Taking 3-4 cold showers at night… It didn’t help… I even thought about buying a portable air-conditioning fan in Terra City for two hundred bucks…

Second trouble. We said goodbye to the sea on the second day, the road there until 16.00 simply began to be ordered to us. There is no place, the beach is not rubber. Dumb owners of the hotel left sun loungers on the beach for about 30% of vacationers. This is just a cry, I have never seen such idiocy on any beach in the post-Soviet Crimea ...People get up in! ! 3-4 am! ! , rode to the beach with towels and occupy sunbeds. I'm not exaggerating ...At 6 am there are no more free sunbeds. It’s like I didn’t sleep all nights because of the heat, I could go to the beach and take us 4 sunbeds, but I consider it below my dignity ...Not in Turkey ...When I saw this game, I just immediately announced to everyone - this year the sea will be only in the evening. Got so hit, I basically won’t take sunbeds.
We knew where we were flying, and among which contingent we would rest. Once they went for it, then there will be science.

At 9 am, in other matters, all the sunbeds are already covered and near the pool. Therefore, it was necessary to take symmetrical approaches, since there is a higher education: you take off the trash from the number of sunbeds you need, and take 3-4 lay far into the shade, over 100 meters. Under some trees, where the herd has not yet sprawled. There is no other way out. It's near the pool. On the sea, if you need sun loungers, look for them 400 meters from the pool, there is no other way out. Let the Turks see this horror and change something in their management, otherwise no one will teach them.
Moreover, the joke is that on the beach there were more shady areas (under tents) before (there are photos of the old beach on the beach). These smart guys tore down two rows of awnings and put up 12 booths, which are called VIPs. Imagine, there is no place on the beach for about 500-700 people, and they put up 12 cabins, the stay in which costs $ 60, like for VIP guests.
A serious income to the cashier for such a large hotel, what are you)))… as much as 720 dollars a day… And if I don’t want to lie on the beach after 12.00, do I also pay 60 bucks for such a house for 2 hours? Moreover, it’s not at all expensive, take and triple the number of awnings on the beach, this can be done in 3-4 days ...Apparently, they drive people to the pool like that, I don’t know ...But there’s also no place, as it were. I repeat - this is a hotel where towels, not people, came to rest on sunbeds ...Instead of putting 3-4 Turkish boys who will periodically dump these towels from sunbeds into a common basket, watching this lawlessness, they only encourage This. The guards say - this is very good - people say they occupied their right)))) Apparently, their sunbeds break less, I don’t know ...There was no such idiocy in Topkapi and the Kremlin, guys ...
The same goes for nightly entertainment near the stage, disco, etc.
I don’t remember the name of the cafe with live music on the way to the sea… Tables – well, maybe 50-60 for one and a half thousand families. Came for the second evening with my wife, there are 10 tables in a row, empty, the rest is occupied. We sat down behind them, we were immediately driven away. It turns out that the sign hangs - VIP. They keep it for some Turks who stopped by for two nights. Feelings for the whole rest were such that we bypassed this place on the tenth road. This is a sewer, guys, this is not a hotel. It was built by smart people, now it is run by rednecks who do not think with their heads at all.

Why didn’t anyone tell me before selling tickets to this hotel that I would be a guest in the status of a “scourge”? Why can local Turks come to this hotel for 2-3 nights and have the status of "VIP", for which tables are kept even in the main restaurant)))? I just smiled from all this shit, I’m not in my scoop at home to “decide” tables for myself ...I just walked and said goodbye mentally to this Antalya coast for 2 weeks.
If someday I fly to Turkey, it will be somewhere near Marmaris ...In general, the hotels in this area are all about the same, to be honest. Or you need to put x2 money for them and go to Rixos.
The main restaurant… If you want to sit in an air-conditioned room so as not to drain 1-2 liters of sweat from yourself, you will have to stand over your head at other eaters, wait until they eat… Very nice) grills for main dishes. If you come for dinner at exactly 19.00, you can take a full plate of king prawns, mussels and squid. After you, these dishes will be replenished maybe 1-2 more times, and as a result, 4-5 families will see these seafood for one and a half thousand vacationers. Actually, purely by chance, on the 13th day, I came for dinner to its opening at 19.
00 discovered for himself that there is also seafood spread for interesting reviews on the Internet)))) But I won’t complain about the food - everything is in order in the restaurant, you will be satisfied. All juice is packaged, take as much as you like. So are bottled wines. Cheap ones, however, are not even closed with corks, but simply twisted with a lid, but you can drink sometimes.
The hotel is full of great ice cream, free of charge. There are refrigerators - take as much as you want, the children were delighted. Excellent Turkish coffee in two cafes. Actually, that's all. Of the pluses, I can also note the scale of construction by the previous owners (everything in marble), clean territory, normal cocktails in bars, beer ...Children's club where you can take children from 10.30 to 12.30 and from 14.30 to 17.00 ...But the lack of a beach and air conditioning in the room ...Noise in the room due to the forced open window ...This is a failure, so I have never rested in this country ever.
Fourth time in Turkey, the last three - the Mediterranean coast ...It's time to return to Marmaris ...But for 5 years now I won't fly to this country to rest, that's enough ...It's time to see Spain, Montenegro.

I was also surprised that there were only half of the Slavs in the hotel. The rest are Iranians and Turks. And other Arabs. It always said only that the hotel is very cheap. It would be better to fly to Sherwood Kemer, as planned, paying an extra 600-800 dollars. Here you will still leave this money in order to somehow move away from the crowd of people: either pay for another room with a view of other hotels, or you will pay $ 60 a day for these houses by the sea. If they are free of course.
And if you are also so “lucky” that you will be settled on the ground floor, then consider that you will live right by the pool: there is no balcony, there is nowhere to dry in principle ...Passing people will look into your windows and make you witnesses of your conversations ))) In "Topkapi" there were at least some terraces in front of the rooms.
Bottom line: if you go here, then not earlier than September 20. Maybe then you can rest.
