We rested in Antalya for the first time, before we used to go to the Kimer-Tikerova area all the time. Therefore, it is probably incorrect to compare the sea and the beach: some people like to walk on the sand, while others prefer the clear sea.
The hotel itself (as rooms / buildings / grounds) is quite consistent with 5 stars. The territory is green, large and well-groomed, the rooms (at least in the San Marco building) are spacious and not killed. Cleaning is really superficial. Minibar daily: 2 cans of Turkish cola + 1 forfeit. A small bottle of gas water + 1.5 liters of regular water. Two 200g juice boxes.
Settlement: after 14 hours, a small amount of evergreens (one must be able to give - intimidated, but take) solves the problem much earlier, alas, at the expense of other sufferers.
Animation (for adults) for C grade.
The contingent (September 2009) - tourists from the CIS, Israel (partially Russian-speaking), Arabs.

What I didn't like the most was the food. The food itself and the menu is not that bad, but below average for Turkish 5 stars. Even worse is the organization. Especially dinner in the main restaurant. This is not really a restaurant, but a crowded canteen. Therefore, dinner here is not romance, but a banal "meal". Moreover, if you have dinner an hour after opening, it is not a fact that you will be able to try all the dishes. We failed to reserve at least one free restaurant out of three available for 10 days. Reservation by phone only, from 10 am to 11 am. By some chance at this time, all the numbers are either busy or do not answer. Another thing is the paid restaurant BURANO. Dinner there costs quite reasonable money (16-19-21 euros per person, depending on the menu choice) and the kitchen is quite there. There are usually few people there, pleasant music and a more or less romantic atmosphere will allow you to have a pleasant evening.
Staff? There are different ones, from conscientious hard workers to snickering muzzles. The first, in my opinion, is much more. A small "baksheesh" strengthens mutual sympathy and makes the rest more pleasant : -)
Thanks to many years of experience in Turkey, we have avoided most of the problems / inconveniences in Venezia Palace Deluxe, and smoothed out the rest with a philosophical attitude to life. Therefore, we had a very good rest, which we wish you too!
