We rested at the Belconti Hotel, (Turkey, Belek) from May 2.2013 to May 11.2013. In terms of staff, service, facilities, food, entertainment - I have no complaints. All this was at the highest level. But the hotel is based as a "Family Type" hotel, that is, for holidays with small children who will experience this world and I don't think they would like to see it. On the territory of the mini-club there is a cage with rabbits, apparently for the greater interest of children. Straight to the point:
Firstly, for 8 rabbits, the cage was not very big, but they still had somewhere to run around. Secondly, and this is one of the main problems, all their land is sprinkled with an antiseptic, which, as we were told by Touring, is completely harmless to them, but this is not so. From this drug, all the animals had inflamed eyes, they could not stand on their paws, some of the rabbits had withered fingers. With me, two families with their young children noted that something was wrong with the rabbits and that they looked unhealthy, the child was most surprised, who looked about 5 years old, who did not really understand animal diseases, he said:
"Why are these rabbits so sick? "
But this is not the main thing. In one of the pipes that run underground, imitating rabbit holes, newborn, naked rabbits were found. The whole place of the nest with the cubs was covered with this powder! Some were already dead, but others still showed signs of life. The next day, everything, absolutely all the rabbits were dead and a swarm of flies had already flocked to them, the smell was disgusting, even though this "miracle powder" muffles the smells. For the second time, we turned to Gastrolation, told that animals suffer and die because of this antiseptic, talked about dead rabbits... The next day after that, all the corpses of rabbits were taken away, but the powder doubled.
I understand that few people are interested in the life and condition of animals, but if the hotel is based as a "Family Type" hotel in which there are animals, then at least provide them with proper care.
