We were in Letoonia two years ago and now we decided to go again. There are changes both for the better and for the worse, but first things first.
Accommodation. Where is better: in the building or in the bungalow? In the first case, you will have a bath and carpet on the floor, in the second - a shower cabin and floor tiles. Televisions and air conditioners are equally good everywhere. I will say this: if you like urban comfort - choose a building, if you want to live like in a country house - negotiate a bungalow. If you are with a stroller, then the first floor is better. the stairs to the bungalow are quite steep. The best houses are located around two relaxation pools, it's quiet, cool, the birds sing. But more and more foreigners are settling there. If you choose a building, then the main building is better. There is also Anex, they say the rooms there are worse, although I personally have not been there. An employee at the Reception will categorically refuse money for a successful accommodation, but you can thank defiantly by putting money in the tip-box.
Service. That's all right. Very friendly and attentive attitude from all hotel staff. The feeling that you were expected and welcome. Nicely.

Nutrition. A small fly in the ointment from a barrel of honey. With food, not everything is good, for which I lowered the rating of the hotel as a whole. There is a lot of food, nothing ends, all dishes are until the end of lunch / dinner. There are few meat dishes, they are mainly represented by turkey, chicken, sometimes veal and lamb. But there is always good fish: sea bass, sea bream, sole, trout. There were no delicacies this time. From fruits and berries - oranges, apples, medlar and strawberries. Strawberries every day, large and sweet. There were never watermelons, although trucks full of watermelons were seen in the city. Juices are good, fresh for breakfast, then fresh juices and ice cream in the vitamin bar during the day. The rest of the time, packaged juices are of normal quality. Excellent ayran, good table wine and locally produced tuborg beer. Only in this hotel they cook delicious hamburgers from 11 am to 4 pm at the beach bar (McDuck is resting! ). Another feature of the hotel - every evening on the site at the entrance to the main restaurant, grills are placed in a circle and meat, fish, and vegetables are cooked. It all smells amazing. In short, BBQ every night!
We did not notice broken dishes and dirty appliances, do not worry about this.
Alcohol of good quality, without cheating. The tequila is especially good. From a low-alcohol cool branded cocktail Letoonia blue - be sure to try it.
Pools and beach. Things are good. The beach is large and clean, it is cleaned every day. There are enough sunbeds, but only on the first line you need to occupy. Good large sunshades (not frail umbrellas, as seen in some hotels. The pools are like pools, in the miniclub the water is a bit cold for kids. Theoretically, the path to the relaxation pools is ordered for children, for the sake of silence, but all FSUs, including foreigners.
SPA. Posh. Free from 9 am to 8 pm: Finnish sauna, hammam, steam room, indoor pool. In the heat of the day, it makes no sense to sit in an air-conditioned room, it is better to spend time with benefit and pleasure. There are also excellent quality paid procedures for every taste: massages, body wraps, etc. Treat yourself if finances allow.
Animation. Ten points! Well done guys! The dancers this year are also good, mostly from Ukraine. Beach games are offered but not imposed.
Vacationers. And here Ukraine rules, in second place are Russians, Kazakhs (! ), a few foreigners (very few) - England, Portugal, Germany.
Most of the staff more or less understands Russian, in Guest-Relations Russian-speaking girls always solve any issues, there are no problems with this.
To sum up: a good inexpensive hotel for a guaranteed quiet and fun family vacation.
