The epidemic opened up new opportunities for remote work, we took a package tour to Turkey and decided to stay here on the last day of our stay. This is a very interesting experience, which I will definitely share when I return. Now I want to briefly describe how tourism in Turkey differs before and after the coronavirus.

Here we are talking specifically about Alanya, Side and Antalya, Oludeniz and Cappadocia these are the regions where we have already lived:

  • Masks are required on airplanes, public transport and shops. Once even the police entered the city bus with a check.
  • Many places have hand sanitizers.
  • Temperatures are checked at large bus stations and shops.
  • In hotels, animation and some of the goodies in the form of a la carte restaurants, free ice cream, etc. have been cut or completely removed.
  • Hot air balloons are already flying in Cappadocia, prices from $85 per person
  • For foreign tourists, HES code is NOT required for domestic and international flights with Pegasus airlines

  • At the airports of Antalya and Istanbul, everyone checks the temperature at the entrance. There is a special apparatus in the form of a camera.
  • Taxi drivers wear masks
  • We don't see any difference anymore. Intercity buses, crowds of people, excursions, street food - all this is unchanged. A large number of people cough, there are always one or two such people on the buses. In one of the hotels, the staff absolutely did not adhere to hygiene regarding the coronavirus. In the other, all employees wear masks, constantly check the temperature and put food on your plate themselves.

As experience has shown, the presence of a temperature of 37.8 is not a problem for a hotel. You will simply be advised to put a wet towel on your forehead. Although, perhaps, if the temperature was maintained for a long time, the staff would begin to take action. Misha and I took turns recovering from an incomprehensible illness: one day I had a fever, I was tired. Misha had a runny nose and cough. I know it sounds creepy. But in our opinion, it was not very similar to the coronavirus. In general, seeing the attitude of the Turks towards the coronavirus, there are only two ways - to relax and have fun, or to sit at home and not fly anywhere.
