We went after the quarantine was relaxed. We looked at the suburbs of Bodrum, where the water is cleaner: Bitez and further bays behind it - Ortakent, Turgutreis. This hotel in Ortakent advised us a travel agent. The price was affordable. We took a tour of Coral Travel. Read in the description of the hotel that the main contingent of vacationers - the French, and not very pleasant reviews for last season. Nothing special was expected. They first settled on the ground floor in a cramped room at the end of the hotel, which overlooked the bar, where people had fun all night. We also got mosquitoes, and we hardly slept.

The next morning they asked to relocate. No problem and extra charge at 14.30 settled on the second floor, in a larger room overlooking the hotel's courtyard by the pool. Overall the hotel plans are very good. This part of the coast is quite windy, and the circular layout creates comfort and a sense of security inside and around the pool.

A significant disadvantage of the rooms is the lack of a normal balcony where you can dry things. On the French balcony, you can dry except a couple of swimsuits, hanging them all the narrow window. The rooms have everything you need. Although not new, but everything works.

There were not many guests in the hotel, mostly Turks with families, but not like the gypsy camp, and it seems that from the affluent homelands. The Russians have not yet opened, nor have the French. We were the first and only Europeans at that time. The kitchen was a pleasant surprise. All dishes were deliciously prepared. The choice is great. Those that you point to and say how much are served through the glass. They are very happy when you name Turkish products. I especially liked the lamb cooked over an open fire by a virtuoso chef. Very friendly waiters, respectful of guests and always ready to help. The chef himself went out to the restaurant hall and served us food. Meals can be rated at the level of a 5-star hotel.
In addition to the main meals there were also brunches, dinners and cake breaks.

Although there are some drawbacks. There really was no oil, instead a portion of margarine is not the first freshness (judging by the smell). The bar sometimes ran out of tonic. Instead, the bartender makes delicious cocktails and very good Turkish coffee for 10 lira.

The beach next to the hotel, sandy and small pebbles, cleaned often, there were always free sunbeds. Entrance to the sea is gentle, convenient. The bay is cozy, even when the wind does not have big waves. But the water was quite cold. It is known that the Aegean Sea is always cooler, but if so, it was a surprise for us. I do not know how many degrees can be a little more than 20, although the site of Turtelli in Bodrum gave a water temperature of 24, maybe in some other bay Bodrum is measured. We went on a tour of the bays of the Aegean Sea, in some places the sea was really warmer than ours in Ortakent.

The water in the pool is warmer, but we swam there only once.

The water in the shower disappeared several times, for the first time more than in the south. Warm water in the shower is only during the day, when it warms up in the sun, cool in the morning and evening. In general, the hotel has problems with sewerage, it is felt by the smell of the reception.

But all these little things (mosquitoes, lack of water in the shower, etc. ) did not spoil the good impression of the hotel.

In general, we liked everything. The rest was positive. This is exactly the place you want to return to. If it is affordable, we will go to this hotel again.
