I want to share a review from the Riva Bodrum Resort. In general, I liked the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff, there are several Russian-speaking guys. The area is clean and constantly cleaned. There are three swimming pools on the territory. We rested on two, one was smaller and closer to our room, the second was the main one, between the bar and the dining room. The pools are also always clean, the water supply is constant, so that the water does not stagnate, but is updated throughout the day. At night (probably from 22) you can’t swim, because a cleaning agent is poured into the pool (water does not stink of bleach and does not dry out the skin, everything is used in reasonable quantities) there are sun loungers and umbrellas near the pools, so you can relax all day comfortably. The bar has a boiler card (4 non-alcoholic cocktails based on juices and syrups and probably 10-15 types of alcoholic cocktails based on wine, vodka and raki) in the evenings we saw popcorn at the bar. Also in the evening you can order a hookah for an additional fee.
As for nutrition. Everything was delicious. The basis of the diet was fresh vegetables, lettuce leaves, salads, pide (similar to pizza, only very thin and in the shape of a boat), puff pastry rolls with meat or cheese filling. At each meal there was a large selection of Turkish desserts (7-10 types) and there were always fresh, and most importantly ripe fruits (watermelon, melon, apples, oranges) For breakfast they gave small buns with cottage cheese and sesame simiti bagels, and small croissants, eggs (boiled, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with vegetables), sausages, sliced ham, sausage, various cheeses), there were also portioned jams, honey, butter, processed cheese. For lunch and dinner, soup was served. Several types of side dishes (regular steamed rice, vermicelli in different sauces, french fries, sometimes there were potato croquettes (boiled potatoes fried in breading), onion rings, fries, there was once roast lamb for meat, turkey roll, but more often there was chicken ( drumsticks, wings, and fillet (stewed with vegetables and in the form of nuggets), in the grill zone there were cutlets or grilled chicken fillet, grilled vegetables (pickled onions, tomatoes, peppers) once every two days there was fish (similar to trout) fried whole on grill.
After lunch and dinner, you could have delicious ice cream in balls in a waffle cone (usually there were three flavors to choose from (vanilla, chocolate, lemon, caramel, pistachio, strawberry, berry mix).

Of the free leisure, a bathhouse, a hammam, a gym, table tennis are offered, yoga was held several times at 9:00 near the pool. But we didn't use any of it.
We did not live in the main building, but in the so-called "bungalows" (a two-story house with four rooms) and, of course, it does not pull 4 stars. From the good: comfortable mattresses and pillows, clean bed linen, a lot of towels (one for the feet and two towels for each person (small and large). Every day they came in to do the cleaning, I don’t know, the towels were changed or just neatly folded, but there were no complaints about cleanliness Once in the afternoon they came in and treated the room around the perimeter from mosquitoes (and it’s really effective, the insects didn’t bother at all). You can't charge it while you're away either. ) The TV is small, it's not convenient to watch while lying on the bed. large, not convenient to use, in the bathroom there was only liquid soap, which is also not very convenient to use, it's good that they took a piece of ordinary solid soap with them.
I would definitely like to note that the hotel is located on a mountain and thanks to this, beautiful views of the Gumbet Bay open up from the territory.
Walking to the beach is really not close 15-20-30 minutes, depending on where you go. But the most important thing is that in any case you will have to return downhill (high and steep). The whole city consists of ascents and descents replacing each other.

There is the Bitez embankment (the beach is narrow 3-5 meters, full of sunbeds belonging to establishments, you can use it by buying something. Everyone has different rules, you need to approach and ask. There is practically no free part where you can just lie on the sand. You can walk to the other side of the peninsula , through the Migros supermarket and the football field, the beach is wider there, but you can also relax comfortably except at the restaurant and here the prices will already bite. a small piece of an abandoned beach. Only a frame remained from the canopies, the beach is pebbly. And the last option for wild recreation is lagoons along the "health" trail (tourists will understand, the route is marked with paint on stones) there will be a lot of them, for every taste, just go and choose. Here the water will be of a completely different color, more azure, beautiful, sunset: a few meters of pebbles, and then the most delicate sand) the most stubborn will reach the Aquarium (marked on g oogle maps), very beautiful, clear water, fish swim, yachts are parked. Of the minuses - a lot of garbage (corn cores, lemon, plastic, cups, snack wrappers, broken glass). The beach is again - pebbles, not much to lie around. How to get there: go down to Liman Bitez and go left, go to the end of the pier and there begins a rocky path.
I advise you to go to Bodrum, see the old town, the Fortress, the embankment, walk along the narrow streets, find Greek ones among them, take beautiful photos, drink tea or coffee on the very seashore, there are enough cafes for every taste (many have a second floor, from where the view is even better). It is easy to get there by minibus (dolmush), the fare is 6.50 TL near the hotel and you also need to go to the final one (car park). It’s better to get back in the same place, otherwise there is a risk of not catching a minibus, in that direction they go one way, and return the other way. From street food, I advise you to try loukoumades / lokma (sweet deep-fried donuts). It will also be interesting to go to Yalikavak (about 20 km from Bodrum), where the main attraction is the embankment with luxurious yachts of meionnaires and an alley with a large number of elite shops and restaurants.
