To begin with, this was our first vacation in Turkey, and I can say that we were lucky, both with the city and with the hotel itself, although our review may not be entirely objective, since we have nothing to compare with. For those who are still interested, read, it can be useful !! ! ) when choosing, we paid attention to the fact that the Delta hotel is part of the Marriott chain, and we know that this is a good sign, and we were not mistaken in this. And so I begin my review.
We arrived at the hotel at 2 am, from Bodrum Airport to go 50/60 minutes. We were settled quickly, but some guests had little difficulty communicating with the staff, since there were no Russian-speaking staff on the shift. We were more fortunate, my husband is fluent in it) the room turned out to be quite large, even more than we expected. What pleasantly surprised) the only negative is the view from the window on the wall,
but this did not bother us much, since we needed the room only for sleeping. But still, we clarified about changing the room, we were told we need to pay $ 150 extra and we will be replaced with a room with a sea view, we refused). As I previously read in reviews that the hotel does not reach 5 stars due to the lack of bathrobes in the rooms, toothpaste, ear sticks and some other petty crap, this did not bother us, holidays with children require that you have everything with you. You can, so we had everything with us. ) The room was cleaned every day, normal, but without fanaticism such as rubbing the shower cabin or mirrors every day, this suited us too, since the clean floor, bedding and towels are enough. The food in the restaurant is delicious, its sufficient quantity, always varied. Well, the truth is breakfast is like breakfast, almost every day the same, but in variety, you can’t try everything in one day, but you can in a week.

What is very important for families with children, the food is adapted for the child's body, there is always milk porridge in the morning, various kinds of eggs, pancakes with a huge selection of jams, etc. dry food and missed the borscht. Soups are puree type, one is tomato, the other is white, but every day is cooked differently. Dinner is a separate issue, that's where you can die from gluttony. Vegetables, fruits, salads, snacks, spreads, meat, fish, and quite different and tasty, lamb meat, chicken, beef. Trout fish, dorado and some of their local fish, which they cook with different sauces, are served in batter and whole. Desserts are a separate topic, honey topping, mousse cakes and desserts, all kinds of cakes are quite diverse but not always tasty, well, let's say for an amateur. we were never hungry. The dishes are clean, the waiters are not very efficient,
only in the evening when either the owner or the manager came, everyone who could, and mostly those who understand and speak Russian, came out for service, they talked, offered wine, quickly removed the excess from the table, by the way, 80% of vacationers these are Russians and Ukrainians, and about 20% are quite polite Turks and Europeans. Mostly families of 3 generations rest, or there were many grandparents with grandchildren, couples with or without children. we did not see single people. Between lunch and dinner there is a snack bar where you can also have a snack if you wish. Ice cream near the snack bar is paid, but you shouldn’t take it, it’s better to get to the center of the Yalykovak village, and there you can buy delicious ice cream for the same money, and not this surrogate. We spoke one of the b. a. bars it was possible to take ice cream in packs, but it is not tasty, we did not even try it. Regarding alcohol, dry white wine is always freely available at lunch and dinner,
red and pink. The bartenders at the bar make various kinds of cocktails, quite noticeable, and almost without alcohol, but those who wanted to increase the dose, and these were always our cultured Ukrainians, not always culturally and very insistently demanded a drink, and they added them without any problems.
What pleased us was the climate of Bodrum, during the time when we rested the air temperature did not rise above 30 ° C, maybe we were so lucky, but many tourists said that this is exactly the climate here, in other regions of Turkey at the same time 10 degrees higher , always a fresh breeze and naturally humid air, just perfect! ) and it is also a shallow beach for children, there is white sand with a sufficient number of sunbeds and umbrellas, beach towels are issued according to cards that are issued upon check-in. We liked everything, but I agree with the majority that most likely so far the Delta Hotel is not the declared 5 * but 4 + *, as there are some shortcomings that did not interfere with our rest, but they still exist. We recommend Delta Hotel as a place for family holidays, but no more, for single people or young people who want to hang out here can be boring!
