We rested in Letuniya in late June - early July.
Everything was perfect, well, almost perfect : )

About the disadvantages:
1) The hotel is really old and needs updating. This refers to buildings, furniture and equipment. For some, furniture resembles pioneer camps, for others, stagnant times.

Yes! Let's just say it's not a fountain, but everything works and fulfills its purpose. And by and large, it does not smell like a catastrophe. The buildings are certainly not new, but everything is painted, "whitewashed" and repaired. Plumbing is quite at the level and everything is clean, the furniture is not falling apart. Moreover, you will not sit in the room (if you come to relax and have fun). They came "home" only to change clothes, swim and sleep. In the room, everything that is available works and, if necessary, is quickly repaired at the first call to the reception. There was a precedent. They dropped the shower on the tiled floor, something crunched in the watering can and the water began to flow in one stream.
After 20 minutes, a new watering can was installed and everything worked.

2) There were notes about small rooms and inconveniences. Nothing like this happened to us. We booked a tour for 2 adults and 2 children. We were booked a large room with an entrance hall, where the 4th bed could easily fit. Most likely it was a number for the newlyweds (Honeymoon). But he was big. There was enough space. I know cases when people for a large family rented two rooms in one bungalow with a common hall. Probably you can order a villa, they are generally large and stuffed with various bells and whistles. It all depends on you and your budget. And if a travel agency offers you something very cheap, then this is a lottery. There may be a gain, but bummers also happen. As it says in the fable: "There is no way to carve out seven big hats from a sheep. " Therefore, the advice is to find out carefully what, how and how much. Ideally (if knowledge of English allows) you need to call Letunia and find out everything directly about your tour.
If there are any misunderstandings, then you can discuss additional conditions directly with the administration. They are quite adequate and friendly-polite.

3) Many more complain about the stairs leading to the bungalow, in the sense that the stomp is high. There are especially many reviews about stairs on English-language sites. Yes, this is true and it is true. We had to climb 80 steps. Some wrote about the figure of 120-130 steps. Quite possible. But we tried to find the positive in this situation. On vacation, you have to do nothing, lie down (a lot) and eat (a lot - at first you want to try everything, and then you just get used to it). Willpower evaporates somewhere and exercises do a bummer! And here, like it or not, you have to climb 80 steps. Several times a day - and it turns out a little workout. By the way, if you have free finances, then you can agree and they will find another bungalow for you, if the hotel is not at all crowded.

And one more news for those who do not like to walk up the stairs - in winter (2009/2010) the owners planned to reconstruct the hotel and build escalators. Information booklets reported about three escalators this year, I don’t remember how many more are planned.

4) People complained about alcoholic beverages (they say they bodyate immensely and pour you don’t understand what). This is a standard all-inclusive problem. It is present in all hotels where "all inclusive" not only in Turkey, but also in Europe and other places. Diluted or not? To be honest, I don't know. He is not an expert in local alcohol, and did not seek to get drunk (drinking something strong in such heat is just a "fat, polar fox"). If you want to drink something good and "painfully familiar from childhood" you can pay some money. On vacation, after all, and you need to allow yourself to relax!

On the positive:
1) Although the hotel is old, there is a good side to it. He is very green.
It means that the whole territory is planted with trees, bushes and flowers, which have grown properly since the construction. There are very, very few such places in Turkey. This is a very important moment for me and my family. I can't say that I hate the heat, but July/August in Turkey is not a gift in this regard (very hot). And if it is possible to be in the shade all day (and the shade is everywhere in Letunia! ), then you simply don’t notice the heat. Yes, and there are fewer problems with children, less chance of getting burned or getting heatstroke. Therefore, when choosing a place where we will go, the presence of a shadow was one of the first places. And Letuniya made us happy in this regard. It's just jungle! As for other places, I will quote my friend: “I saw fancy hotels in Turkey with luxury rooms (with excellent modern furniture and sanitary ware) and chic restaurants.

But a place under stubby palm trees (very rare by the way) has to be taken from 6 in the morning and with a fight, since there is already a bunch of someone's towels. And it’s not a fact that they will get a place, since everyone there is literate and taught by difficult climatic conditions. Of course, there are umbrellas, and they also provide shade, but after a couple of hours they heat up so much that if there is no breeze, then you start to feel like in a bathhouse. "I will visit such hotels in ten years, when something grows there, but for now, excuse me!

2) "All inclusive"! There are people who will say that the "All Inclusive" option is for state employees and suckers. Disagree. Actually, I don't quite agree. If you are with children and have a rest in Turkey, then this option is perfect. And not because the children will gobble up or drink a lot, leading you into ruin. The problem of choosing what to them will simply disappear
give food or drink. They themselves go and choose.
And since everything is unfamiliar, then whining begins - "I took it, but it's not tasty, I don't want to eat it. " Do not need
give them money or a wallet with you, you don’t need to go along with them and pay. It’s a pleasure for them to run 20 times a night to a bar and drink different drinks and juices, they move all the time and they are hot and thirsty. And you have just settled down with a cup of coffee at the table, and here you are - "dad, mom, I'm thirsty, I'm hungry !!! ", etc. Another point, in Letuniya is almost "all inclusive"! I mean various activities, table tennis, archery, air rifles, aerobics, water aerobics, water polo, catamarans, kayaks, windsurfing, etc. It's probably easier to list what is not included. Everything related to a motorboat and a jet ski (or whatever it is called) is paid separately. I don’t remember for big tennis, but it seems to be free, you just need to book a court in advance.
So, for children there is a choice of where to go and what to do. And whatever you do, everything is already included in the price of the tour.

3) Beach

There is no public or municipal beach here. The entire surrounding area and the beach belongs to the hotel. The territory is guarded, so the people around you can only be guests or staff. Almost 3.5 km beach (long peninsula, beach from all sides) is equipped with platforms, lighting, water slides, sun loungers, hammocks, tables, umbrellas and all sorts of other nonsense. There is no problem finding a place. In some places at 100-200 meters you can not find people. The only thing (if you are with children) want to be closer to the children's beach or water slides, you need to come to the beach immediately after breakfast. But during the day some people leave, others
come, places are vacant. Another option, if there is a man, he will calmly bring a sunbed himself.
If a woman, then you need to contact the dispensers of towels, they are undermined and do what you ask them without wrangling. They pull sunbeds, umbrellas and tables, bedside tables where you show.
What pleased Letunevsky beach is the almost complete absence of medium and large waves.
Who rested with the children, probably knows what a headache parents have - to watch the children when they are in the water.
And if there are no waves, then this constant "strained" is reduced by half. Some might argue, "waves are so much fun! "
My opinion is that it is much more fun on the slides, of which there are three in Letuniya. And the most important thing about these slides is that they all go down into the sea (by the way, this is also a rarity),
not in a chlorine-stinking pool. Although there are also enough pools in Letuniya.

4) Animation
Animation is one of the best in Turkey, perhaps even one of the top three. The team is very competent and professional.
The team includes representatives from different countries and all work together as one mechanism, clearly and without disruption. Excellent vocalists (a Russian-speaking woman has a beautiful voice and repertoire), excellent dancers and actors (moreover, most, and perhaps all, have a variety education). If necessary, they instantly replace each other, without
quality loss. In other words, "Show must go on! " All shows are in several languages. For two weeks of our vacation, the performances were never repeated, that is, there was a fresh program all the time, which was very pleasing. Animators start rehearsing in winter, long before the main race. The wife of the owner of the hotel used to work in the field of organizing animations, this probably explains such a high level.

I'm just giving my thoughts here. This hotel is most likely suitable for families with children. If you rested only with your wife, you would most likely choose a Mediterranean cruise.
Would have seen the sights plus would have rested and relaxed on the ship. But for children, all these excursions and tourist walks are up to the lampada. They need to play, run, swim, fool around and have fun. Therefore, Letunia is one of those places, ideal for family vacations. And parents can warm their bones in the sun, and expanse for children. The territory is guarded, so parents are calm. There are no big waves, one less problem. "All inclusive", the children themselves go where they like and do what interests them at the moment. Animators are constantly inviting to various events and competitions. Sheer fun. Water slides descend into the sea - a dream! Do not climb in these pools. Parents are also
have fun on their own. You can sunbathe, you can sit in the bar, watch performances (and there is something to watch). Windsurfing, boats, catamarans and all sorts of other garbage.
If you are doing windsurfing for the first time, the instructor will float with you and show you how and what to pull there. The same goes for sailing boats. In general, sheer idyll. In the bar we tried a bunch of all sorts of cocktails, some we liked, some frankly ...well, we didn’t like it at all. But
have fun from the heart!

Now a little about the sad. As much as I would not like to praise Letunia, but there were also unpleasant moments. We had a rotavirus infection. His wife and youngest son fell ill. I had to go to the hospital. There was vomiting and fever. Plus the general condition is below the plinth. Two days out of fourteen, we lost. A couple of days just came to their senses. The most interesting thing is that everyone ate different dishes, so you can’t blame the poisoning. Many people write that such
bad things happen after swimming in the pool, but the wife was not in the pool. It remains a mystery.

Communicating with Russian-speaking vacationers, we found out that we were not the only ones who fell under the distribution. A few more people were in the hospital, children and adults. The most interesting thing is that it happened on different days. Therefore, it is impossible to write off everything for food poisoning. Most likely a swimming pool. Reading the reviews of people who have visited various places in Turkey, from time to time I came across
description of such problems. The places were different. From budget to the most expensive hotels. That is, regardless of the number of stars, the problem is present everywhere.
But apparently this is not a typical case. Most of the guests were healthy and happy.

I'll try to draw a conclusion from the above:
Location - 5 (Very beautiful place)
Rooms - 4 (Not the best option, but that's okay)
Entertainment and animation - 5 (Excellent)
Service - 4+ (Good)
Purity - 5
Meals - 5 (Excellent, although no pork)
Beach - 5 (Super)
Despite all the problems that I tried to describe above, I want to recommend Letunia for relaxation. The place is beautiful, the weather is wonderful, the beach is amazing, the animation is wonderful, the service is unobtrusive, the food is delicious. Well, there are not so many problems, and they will be solved. If the administration carries out the reconstruction and builds the escalators as planned, it will be very good.

I want to express special gratitude to the user with the nickname "NeVerExistED". Thanks to his information, we went to this place, and his wife also contacted him by e-mail to clarify the numbers of the bungalow.
