Hi all!
I am writing this review in order to dispel a little the myth about the children's paradise and dissuade you from taking your children to Lykia World.
I have no complaints about the rooms, food, territory and entertainment - everything is 5+.
But, as it turned out, all this loses its glamor and brilliance as soon as you find yourself in an unfavorable situation.
Our daughter is 2.5 years old - on the 4th day of our stay in Lycia, we found rotavirus: uncontrolled temperature up to 40 degrees, vomiting, diarrhea. I know for sure that this is the water in the pool, we drank a little the previous day . . Of course, I don’t blame the hotel for this, but I blame myself for not finishing it. BUT!!!! ! The attitude of the “hospitable and loving children” of the Turks to the unplanned situation was shocking. I want to go into more detail here:

1. On the evening of May 2, an ambulance took us to the hospital. For 20 minutes of standing at the reception, NOBODY from the staff, guides, administration came up to find out if we needed help or what happened. With us was the doctor of this hospital, who is on duty in Lycia. Most likely, he later had to report on the situation.
2. I’m not sure that he did this, because after the diagnosis was established, again, NO ONE from the hotel called back, not to mention asking about the child’s health, but at least about WHICH PLACES OF THE HOTEL she vomited so that to disinfect... Considering that the first time this happened at the PLAYGROUND, I consider this as a manifestation of inexcusable NEGLIGENCE. Then she herself caught the doctor in the hospital to tell him where to “wash”...
3. for 4 days of stay in the hospital there was not a single call from the host side, not a single visit, not a single offer. The husband spent 1.5 days without food: only on the 2nd day did they get food from the hotel, for which they paid a lot of money (a separate story - WHAT they brought us), and the tour department in the hospital only remembered on the 3rd day that they have a menu according to which you can order food for everyone and it's INCLUDED IN THE PRICE!
4. We tried to communicate with the guides (representatives of TURTESS) in order to compensate for the lost vacation - we asked for 1-2 days in the hotel to restore the child's strength, because. after 4 days of fever and rejection of any food, she was practically unable to stand on her feet. In the eyes of the Turkish country manager, whose monologues were translated for us by 10%, we were freeloaders who, at the expense of their child, decided to extend their vacation. The answer was the following - if we are not discharged, and we miss our flight, we remain to recuperate in the HOSPITAL. The hotel cannot accept us for free. But our things can be in our room as much as we need!!!!! ! ))))))
5. I am fluent in English. I simply could not forgive such an attitude in such a prestigious place - and wrote a letter to the chief manager of the hotel, asking: if a guest with a small child came to YOUR HOUSE and fell ill in YOUR HOUSE, would you also do nothing?

6. Half an hour later, the hotel manager called me back. I was overjoyed. But it was not there. Before connecting with him, his assistant decided to ask how our SON feels!!! ! And only then the general himself told us that he received information about us every day; ) And he began not with an apology, but with ACCUSATIONS - that supposedly we could not catch the virus in his hotel, but brought it with us. Given that the incubation period lasts from 1 to 3 days, I do not even comment.
7. I was also pleased with the work of the ETALON insurance company - which, 5 hours before the departure of our group from the hotel - this is 23.00 - (our daughter was still on a drip at that moment) found out that our insurance covers everything only until the day of departure . . 2 previous day, ETALON discussed with us the exchange of tickets for another date (because the child was too weak for the flight). As a result, we had a couple of hours to get ready, and with a half-asleep, exhausted child in our arms, we drove to the airport with a sigh of relief that it was all finally over and we were going home.
8. I will not describe the continuation of the whole kardebalet also at the airport, where the fucking Turks wrote that we had the flu (although there was an extract from the hospital, where there was not even a WORD like that) and that the whole of Boryspil was almost sent into quarantine because of this. Thank God the flight attendants worked competently - and nothing happened...
9. Daughter and we slept for the next 2 days, and only on the 3rd did we come to our senses a little. Now everything is fine. But most likely, I will not go to Turkey anymore.
Now tips. You do not need to judge them, just take note, at least so that God forbid you do not end up in a similar situation:
1. Choose small hotels!!!!! ! In Lycia - international, which, on the one hand, is good. But there are also a lot of children, from babies to teenagers, each of whom has already adapted to the bacteria of his climate and is sure to take them with him.
2. Do not swim in pools! Only the sea - it is there of amazing purity and beauty. It was still cold for swimming on our arrival.
3. Children's paradise - at first glance, justifies its name. BUT: it has an equal number of adult uncles and aunts, both in the pools and on the hill. From the sandy beach for children, 10 meters away, it stinks of urine and a bunch of wasps fly.

4. If you are already in the hospital: they have a so-called. "tour department", which is an intermediary in communication between tourists and staff. But - if you know English, even minimally, it is better to communicate directly - they distort information. The Russian representative of this department worked disgustingly. We were saved by the Austrian Katarina, her colleague, who worked for two. It was she who told us that it is impossible to sign documents at “your own peril and risk” upon discharge, because. most likely the insurance will refuse to pay for our stay in the hospital in this case. It was she who told us that everyone in the hospital, even relatives, can order food from the menu and this is included in the cost of treatment. It was she who persuaded the doctor to come at 12 at night to discharge us and issue all the necessary documents.
5. Do not skimp on insurance!!!! ! And do not mess with the Standard! Be sure to ask WHAT the insurance covers and until WHAT DATE is it valid. Because if you have to stay late, and the insurance is economy, everything is at your expense!
6. In the hospital, do not enter everything that is prescribed. Don't settle for anything serious (drugs) until the results of the test and diagnosis. It’s better to ask again, make you call even at night a Russian-speaking nurse or a tourist department.
7. Better just don't get into any troubles and have a 100% rest!!
If you have questions or you don't believe in the story written above - I can send "multimedia" materials ; ) or comment personally!
