I rested with my family at the end of July 2010. The hotel is quite 3 *, do not expect anything special from it, but the towels are changed in the rooms and cleaned every day, there are no insects, there were no interruptions in hot water either. There is air conditioning, only with night modes of the problem, I could not find the optimal one - either you freeze, or it’s stuffy, but during the day it’s salvation. It was easy to do without a refrigerator, since there are shops nearby and you can often buy cold water (we drank it a lot). Of the Russians, there is Channel 1 on TV, but after a couple of days he got stupid programs, so they only occasionally watched the news in the evenings. They feed. . . well, for an amateur. The menu is not particularly diverse, cheese, feta cheese, sausage, hard-boiled eggs, and all sorts of salads, olives, muesli, 2 types of diluted juices, tea or coffee in the morning, in the evening - one main course (maybe meat, chicken or fish or just baked eggplant), well, 15 appetizers without limit, only one warning - if your body cannot tolerate vinegar or pepper, you will be half-starved, because the chef generously puts it in almost everything. Well, with fruit, not very good either - they give one thing in the evening (mostly watermelons). Drinks in the evening (as elsewhere in the West) are paid, but we just took mineral water with us. During the day we dined in restaurants, of which there are an unmeasured number, then we settled on one called "Harem", however this is also an amateur, prices are almost the same everywhere and the cuisine is similar. Without any special frills for 4 (with beer or wine) it cost 80-90 lire (1600-1800 rubles). Everywhere there is a children's menu, without spices, chicken soup and french fries with chicken, lamb or fish, pancakes and all sorts of desserts - the child will be pleased. You can forget about pork - it simply wasn’t there, after all, Muslims. Recoption - discreetly polite, I almost didn’t have to contact them, the only thing was that they settled on the 3rd floor, a room overlooking the road, they promised to move in 5 days - overlooking the sea, but then we didn’t go ourselves - our room was on the east side and the sun appeared in it only in the morning, and the rest of the time it was not hot, which for a midday siesta is just salvation. In addition, eucalyptus trees grew behind the road and provided shade. In the mornings, the dogs yelped intensely, and so - there was not much noise. There were a lot of Russians and Turks in the hotel (about 50/50). Therefore, the opinion that Fethiye is not very mastered by Russians is erroneous, compatriots are at every turn. About excursions. . . in the evenings, guys from the Tez-tour are constantly grazing in the lobby, so you can pick up something, the only thing is that their prices bite, besides, they really like to include visits to all kinds of carpet factories, jewelry workshops, etc. (it spends a lot extra time and there is an obsessive offer to buy something), so we took excursions from the locals, there are 1.5 times cheaper - only in English. language, but this is not a particular problem, and they don’t tell much, if you wish, you can find much more on the Internet. I liked Tlos with its ruins, but Saklikend did not make an impression - it was crowded and not enough, but, again, not for everyone. 3 times we went to Fethiye ourselves, climbed to the Lycian tombs, the ruins of the Crusader fortress and the Greek amphitheater, as well as to Kiyakyu (dead city). One piece of advice - immediately drive home-grown local guides in the neck, they will say a few words, poke a couple of stones and start begging for money for a "wonderful excursion" and in general ask the locals for information very carefully, the people are still the same and there are enough people who want to spend money, however there were pleasant exceptions. We also went to the beach in Oludeniz (there is beautiful, clean and, if desired, you can jump with a parachute with an instructor - even teenagers). The sea in Chalysh itself is dirty, and in the evening (and not only) bunches of sea kale often sailed, again, if you swim a little further, this is not there. But there are few people and no one interferes with anyone. I remember Muslim women's bathing suits) and in general there were no top-less people who wanted to sunbathe (compared to Croatia). A breeze blew almost all the time and the sea was not often calm, well, of course, the waves do not overwhelm you, but the surf takes place. But it’s nice to sunbathe - it blows. The beach is free, sunbeds and umbrellas are 3.5 liras each (about 70 rubles) The hotel has a swimming pool and it’s quite decent - 25 meters in length and a depth of half 1.9m, half 1.4m, so lovers of fresh water can swim , only it is better to do it either at 8 am, or already at 6-7 pm, there are few people and you can jump from the side. There is also a children's section, so it's convenient for parents, by the way, the children at the hotel were decent. Fans of discos and entertainment in Calis will be bored, but I recommend it for those who want to relax. Of course, you don’t want to go there the second time, but once you can.
