In the first couple of days, the thoughts about the hotel were as follows: okay, but we won’t go a second time. But every day the impression was getting worse, as certain moments surfaced. There are many more minuses in Astoria than pluses. Negative: for 10 days of our stay there, we never (! ) Changed bed linen and towels. Although according to the rules this should be done every three days. The linen was never changed, although we talked about its condition at the reception. The room must be cleaned every day. For 10 days the floor in the bathroom was not swept even once. If there was a broom, she would sweep it herself. Cleaning in our room consisted solely in the fact that the bedspread was folded in a bizarre shape and placed in the middle of the bed. We hung a label on the door asking for cleaning, but this also did not work. The room is ok, although very small. The furniture is more or less, the mattress, however, "spiky", you could feel the springs. The hotel has a zhlobskaya system of fines: for a lost bracelet, for removing the room key from the key fob, for hard-to-remove stains on bed linen and towels. On the first day, we noticed that we had a crimson stain on our blanket. They told about it at the reception so that they would not “hang” on us. A male person wrote it down, but the veil was never replaced. Later, a few more yellow spots were seen on it. In a good way, such a blanket should have been thrown away a long time ago (I remind you that the hotel is 4-star). The bloke at the reception deserves special attention. You can't call it any other way. Here someone in the reviews called him "the face of Turkish nationality. " Just to the point. There was no banal courtesy on his part, which should be inherent in a hotel administrator. He sold us a phone card for $ 5, supposedly with 30 minutes of calls (I also asked again, it would definitely be 30 minutes). As a result, we managed to talk for 2 minutes and that's it - the money on it ended. Of course, no money was returned to us and they did not even apologize. When we were going on an excursion (departure was at 5 am), we approached him at the reception the day before to order a lunch box. By the way, excursions in street agencies are at least 2 times cheaper than those of hotel guides. According to the "composition" - the same. To which he replied that we were not allowed to have a lunch box, since we booked a tour at a street agency, and not from our hotel guide. Although nowhere such rules are not written. As it turned out later, such rednecks were only in Astoria, since we were the only ones on the bus without lunch boxes; and the essence of the problem is not that we spent the extra 5-10 USD. e. for food, but for the redneck attitude of the hotel staff. That is, we essentially paid for this day, but didn’t eat at all (we didn’t even have time for dinner). I didn’t want to quarrel with him just because our things remained in the room. By the way, the hotel is also not responsible for the safety of things. But it offers a safe for $ 3 per day (when we were at the reception desk, two women came up to the body and asked to teach them how to use the safe, since 2 days of their stay at the hotel had already passed, they paid the money, but no one deigned to approach them) . Internet in the hotel is also paid - $ 3 per day for one (! ) device. A friend was relaxing in a nearby hotel with 3 * and there was free Wi-Fi. Of the few pluses, I want to note that we were settled not at 14 o'clock, as according to the rules, but at 10. The food was also good and the waiters were friendly. The choice of food was not great, but we are not picky. It was also very surprising that the juices were diluted with water. Redneck. The dining room itself is very poorly cleaned. The tablecloths are dirty, and the crumbs sometimes lay for a day. The hotel owner's dogs (there are at least 2 of them) ran freely around the dining room (they call it a restaurant) and begged for food. They also drank water from the children's pool. I love animals very much, but I think that this is not entirely correct. On the last day there was no water for a couple of hours (no water at all). Summing up, I want to say that the hotel does not at all attract 4 stars, and even 3. I strongly do not recommend it for relaxation. Not young, not old, not people with children. p. s. We did not meet the famous Aunt Ira, as she was just sick. Hamam tried to sell us a bastard at the reception for 60 USD. e. On the street, it costs 20 c. u. e.
