Recently returned from Carinthia. I would like to share my experiences and useful tips.
Stayed there with my 3 year old daughter. The hotel was chosen on the basis that there was a lot of greenery, that there was everything for children, because the child was at sea for the first time, etc. . We read reviews for a long time, chose... The hotel conquered by the fact that it stands in the middle of a pine forest at the foot of the mountain. Reviews at the time of purchase were good, but closer to departure there were negative stories. Those who read them were already preparing for the worst... As it turned out, it was completely in vain!
Let's start in order. For a ticket they paid 160.000 for three for 13 days. The price, of course, is somewhat overpriced for this country and the hotel in particular. For the same money we went 3 months ago to the Dominican Republic to the top hotel. Of course, it’s stupid to compare, but there this money is justified, if only because most of the cost is a 12-hour flight.
Our flight was delayed by an hour, but it didn't bother us too much. Anyway, Transaero is a great airline. It is very convenient to book seats on board through online registration (it’s bad that you can’t do this back), although you still have to stand in the general queue later, but you can choose the seats yourself. Children on board can order baby food and receive gifts in the form of a briefcase or a pencil case with felt-tip pens, notepads and small toys. The child had something to do in flight.
Tour operator Anex Tour. Excellent operator, worked for all 5 points. I read a lot about the difficult transfer to the hotel, I already wanted to book a prostitute or take a taxi. But we were all divided into small minivans, ours immediately went to Tekirova. No arrivals in other hotels, except ours and next to us. The road took 1 hour and was not that tiring even for a 3 year old child who was very tired from the whole day. On the way, the guide tells something interesting and time passes unnoticed.
We arrived at the hotel very late. Late for dinner. I was very worried because of this, because the child wanted to eat. We were immediately asked what we want to check in and come to eat (although the restaurant was already closed), or eat and then go to the room. We chose the latter because we really wanted to eat. The restaurant gave not what was left after the general dinner, but asked what we want, what to bring to the child, this was very pleasing. Actually, I haven't seen anything like this anywhere. Being late for dinner is not their concern. And here the attitude was very impressive, although this is not the first time in Turkey.
The room was good, without any extra charges. Category Deluxe Club Room. 2504. Again, I read a lot about bad numbers. We seem to be lucky. The air conditioning worked perfectly, but we rarely turned it on, if you eat with a child, ask for the 1st floor. On 2 and 3 it is very stuffy, and on 1 you can easily do without air conditioning. We left it only when we left to air it, slept at night without it - it was not hot. The room has been refurbished, everything is new and beautiful and works properly. TV - 4 Russian channels, cleaning is normal. True, they didn’t wait for the swans from the towels, left the dollars - no - it doesn’t matter, they weren’t made, which was strange. Regarding the number, I do not understand only 2 points. Firstly, why a paid safe, for that kind of money and how in other 5-kah it could be made free of charge, and why a paid minibar. This, too, somehow does not correspond to the category of 5 stars and the cost that the ticket cost. Of course, water is supplied every 2 days, but they could still replenish the bar. More ants. Of course, they are in the room, but if you do not leave fruits or other food on the tables, then they are not visible. Even if you leave a peach-apple-banana in an open bag overnight, wait for an anthill in your bag in the morning : ) We just put all the food in the refrigerator and forgot about them. Everything else is fine.
The hotel area is very green and beautiful. She is very well looked after. It's nice to walk in the evening among all this greenery and beauty. The villas are very compact. From the room to the main restaurant 2 minutes on foot, 3 minutes from the room to the sea. The beach is big and clean. Lots of loungers. I do not understand those who wrote that there are no places on the beach. Having read these reviews, I thought that I would have to buy paid tents for 35 euros. But when I came to the beach, on the first day I found a bunch of free sunbeds. You can come at 9 and 10 in the morning you will always find a place. I have never seen broken beds either. The beach is constantly being cleaned. The only time sailed garbage, which was written earlier. Beach workers immediately came running with large nets to catch it. On that day, we just went to the pool so as not to swim in this mud. The next day everything was clean and nothing like that happened again. The sea is very clear, you can see every stone. Small fish swim. The beach is pebble. You definitely need slippers to get to the sea, because the stones heat up a lot. As for the entrance to the sea, both my daughter and I went into it without any problems. Not painful at all and not as unpleasant as many people write about it. Sometimes even when strong waves nail sand to the shore and the entrance is sandy.
The bar by the beach has decent cocktails and, surprisingly, good beer, which was nice.
The main restaurant is very good. Lots of food, varied and delicious. I do not understand those who wrote that there is nothing in it. You can always find something tasty. Lots of fruits, so de delicious desserts. The only downsides are the powdered juices, none at all and not enough seats during rush hour. But this problem can be avoided if you come either at the beginning of dinner, or already 1-1.5 after the start. The waiters handle all orders and clear the tables quickly. Dirty and broken dishes, which I also read somewhere, I also never saw. For those traveling with children. If something needs to be warmed up, you can ask any waiter to do everything. For the first 2 days I went and asked to heat milk for porridge, as hot milk was only for breakfast. After that, they began to put hot milk for lunch and dinner, in general, they didn’t have to ask anymore. I also saw a blender, but I didn’t ask for it myself. What else pleased, although there is an announcement that food cannot be taken out, no one forbids taking out fruit in any quantity. For children there is a separate table in the mini club, where quite decent food is available.
For children there is a children's pool. Another pool with slides and a pool with sea water. Animation for kids is amazing. The kids club is open from morning to evening. Those who are older are simply taken to all sorts of interesting activities and you can relax while they play. In the evening, a cool mini disco for kids, in general, the child has something to do and what to see. Fireworks in the evenings are very beautiful.
Tours. We went to the dinosaur park and the dolphinarium. I advise you to definitely go to dinosaurs, it will be interesting for kids of any age and for adults too. As for the dolphinarium - a disgusting excursion. It takes almost 2 hours to get to it (collecting all the tourists from other hotels), but this is not a minus. From the promised show of 1.5 hours, the show lasts a maximum of 30 minutes. The rest of the time there is a trade in souvenirs, photographs and food. It was not at all interesting to travel so much for the sake of these 30 minutes. For a separate $ 100, you can swim with dolphins for 5 minutes, 4 minutes of which you are photographed, and 2 minutes of laps around the pool. It's not worth the money and the queue for it at all. In general, I do not recommend.
A very important point. Check-in at the hotel from 12 noon. Even if you arrive at the hotel at half past midnight, for them it is a new day and you will not be settled until 12 noon! Therefore, plan your flights in advance to arrive later than 12 noon and not sit for hours without a number. Knowing this, we did not sit, but I saw many other tourists who came, sat, waited and swore at the reception.
Returning to the hotel, I want to say that I really liked Carantia (and now Euphoria). Yes, there are cons, but where are they not. Good hotel for families. I gladly recommend it to everyone. If you have any questions write, I will be happy to answer.
