Excursions "Night disco - catamaran" and "Overview of Antalya"
First I want to tell you about the tour, which is called "Night disco on a catamaran".
We need to start with the fact that we bought this tour from our guide from the Odeon tour, we usually buy it on the street, but here we were afraid, since it was supposed to start around 21.00 and end around 4.00. So at least we the guide said.
Well, it started an hour later than planned, and we even went to our Sea Gull hotel, when they came and said that it would still take place, okay, they brought us to the port of Antalya, where they landed and escorted us to the catamaran, the guide he told us that there would be three more buses from the Odeon, we were immediately alert, since we read that it was quite roomy, and if we take into account that only 25 people were traveling on the bus, then you yourself understand that if a disco consists of about 100 people, this is not disco. Basically, it did.
Imagine a fairly large catamaran that, if desired, can easily accommodate about 500 or more people. And we have collected about 120-150 people who simply disappeared on it. We move on, finally we move away from the pier and sail, like, into the open sea, which we were promised. Yeah, how did we sail, at best, about 5 kilometers from the coast of Antalya, stopped and the “disco” began. What I want to say is that the music was modern and normal, but when only 20 people dance to it on the dance floor, this is not a disco, at such a disco I also danced in my hotel. So my friend only danced twice, and that's it. I also wasn't very drawn to it. It was as if you were on stage and everyone was looking at you.
At least I didn’t manage to relax and have fun, seeing such a thing, we went to the upper deck (I must say that there are only three of them on the catamaran - the lower one is closed, the middle one with a dance floor and the upper one is open and there are mini sofas on all decks, very comfortable) . On the upper deck, music is also heard, since there is a dance floor-shaped hole in the center and there are speakers. That's where we spent the rest of the time. Having scored on everything, I danced watching the view of the coast of Antalya and, as they say, turning away from the dance floor. As for the foam party, somewhere after 2 hours they let foam up their sleeves, if someone went to a Turkish bath, he knows that they are doing foam massage, well, they looked like they let out just such a foam, after which the entire floor was wet, everyone who danced there also ended up in this soapy foam. Although when I got under the foam in Marmaris, there were no traces of wet spots on my clothes.
So what else to say about this tour, so about the booze. When I approached the counter, I was offered a choice of diluted beer, raki (vodka), gin and something else, although local whiskey, which we had at the hotel, was not given there, only for money. I took vodka (raki) and there was cherry and lemon juice, it seems (UPI - a type of juice), and diluted it, I also tried my girlfriend’s beer, she ordered it, it’s just a diluted beer half of the one that is poured in the hotel. So, the fact that it is written that drinks are all included is such a scam, it is better to buy one but high-quality cocktail than what they give for free. When I approached me the second time, the bartender immediately poured double vodka into one glass and said: “Like not to go a second time. ” He was kind of worried about me. So you just can’t drink it, such disgusting. My girlfriend and I drank whiskey with cola in the hotel, you can still drink it somehow, and crayfish even with juice is terrible.
If you want fruit, then there is fruit in a small bowl for 2 bucks. Well, what else, except that instead of 4 o'clock we were at the hotel at 2 o'clock in the morning. Here's a tour for $50. I can advise you not to go there, it's better to go to Kemer in Aura or Inferno and it's cheaper and much more pleasant. By the way, the catamaran was called "Mobidisk" it seems. Then I looked at the street barkers, they also carry their tourists there.
Sightseeing tour of Antalya.
I really want to tell you how we ruined our day, which we could have spent very well. This tour started at 9.
00 and we were taken like "on a sightseeing tour of Antalya", which I want to say, at first when we were taken to a platform with a panoramic view of the coast of Antalya it was great, we were given only 10 minutes to take pictures there, then we were taken at speed past two monuments: their to the famous first president Mustafa Kemal Atatü rks with a square with a monument, people who were sitting on the right side could see him from a distance, but we were sitting on the left and you yourself understand that we only caught a glimpse of him. The next attraction flashed, again from the right side, at a speed of 40 km per hour, we were driven past the ancient Adrian Gate, again in 2 seconds we saw little, we drove a little more in the historical center of Antalya on the way to the first shopping center. And so we arrived at the golden center, we are told that it will take us about an hour, if not more.
We went in and a very intrusive seller is attached to each person and there’s nothing to dream about and look at calmly, after a girl tells what metal and what stones this ring is made of in 5 minutes, I understand that I can’t stand it, turn around and look she is like this, this is our job, I tell her well then show me the way out of your store. I was in Marmaris, they also took us to a survey, they also showed these centers, but there was no such stickiness. Then there was a leather center, it was easier with the sellers there, apparently they still buy their goods, and there you can, of course, pick up goods for yourself if you went for this purpose. The choice there is certainly huge, and the prices are not too high. And he is also about 2 hours. Then the textile center, which is also 2 hours, the prices there are expensive, the T-shirt is nothing at all, it costs about 20 bucks. For that price, I'll buy it myself.
There are still a lot of expensive brands like Dolce & Gabbana, but the simplest T-shirt is $200. So you understand, if you don’t go for it on purpose, then there’s nothing to do there. Then we were taken to have some lunch. Horror is simple. We were seated 10 people at a table, I ordered a lamb cutlet, and a girlfriend a chicken. Then we went to salads to put this cutting of vegetables and a couple of some vegetable salads, whoever was in Turkey will understand what I mean, there were 10 of them to choose from, one pleased the bread was wonderful. Well, first they brought the chicken - 5-7 small pieces, a little barley and a couple of pieces of cucumber. And after a while they brought our cutlet - these are 2 small oblong pieces of ground something remotely similar to lamb. Well, maybe with dinner. Then they took us to the sandy exhibition and let us walk there for about 15-20 minutes, I think. Photograph sand sculptures. And we arrived at the hotel at 4 o'clock.
So if you do not need to buy anything in the centers, then do not go there, just waste the whole day on unnecessary trips to these centers. At least this applies to Antalya.
