Between Kemer and Kirish lies the foot of the Taurus Mountains with a peak of 315 m - Mount Chalysh. On clear days, almost anywhere in Kemer you can see the flag fluttering on the top of Chalysh, this is where we will climb.

First of all, you need to download the Maps application to your phone. me, because the paths in this area are not drawn on Google maps.

A round-trip route from the clock tower in the center of Kemer to the observation deck on Chalysh (in the Maps. me app)

In order to make the trip as interesting as possible, it was decided to go back and forth in different ways. And why not meet the sunrise in the mountains overlooking the sea - we thought, and planned to start our mini-journey at 5 in the morning. To be honest, if there weren’t a man with us in the company, we probably would have turned back, because it’s scary to walk along the half-lit streets every now and then hearing the whistling of drunk tourists under the sounds of night discos. But the fears were not justified, we didn’t have to run away from anyone, as our frightened imagination already drew - and now we almost left the city. Just a little bit left)

In the photo, because of the fog, the flag at the top is not visible, but it is there, honestly)

When you reach the forest, the main thing is not to be afraid - and go further along the path, believe me, everything is not as scary as it might seem.

Of course, the climb is sometimes quite steep, so people who, for health reasons, are not allowed to exercise, it is better not to go. It seems that I read someone's review that you need physical preparation to climb the Chalysh mountain, well, that's not true, all you need is to be able to walk. And, yes, even at the beginning of the journey they saw a stone on which “dangerous” was written with paint, or something like that, but where and what is dangerous remained a mystery. Not a single lizard was seen, more animals - even more so.

The path is picturesque, along the way you constantly meet marks on stones or ribbons on trees, although I have no idea why they are and how you can get lost with a clear guideline - go up the path.

Here is the first small observation platform (by the way, they are all marked on Maps. me).

We climb further.

The observation platform is higher - here we were caught by the dawn with the still sleepy Kemer. We enjoy and inhale deeply, an even smaller half of the ascent is ahead. I want to make a small remark - friends, keep in mind that it is much more difficult to climb in the heat.

We go further, at the top we will be rewarded - magnificent views not only of Kemer, but also of the neighboring village of Kirish.

We were unlucky, there was fog, so visibility is poor, but still enough to appreciate the beauty of Turkish landscapes.

And here is the first mountain predator) The cat lives at a level of 315 m above sea level and does not blow in the mustache.

The way back to the city was by road, it is not so steep that it is compensated by its length, so the way back took longer (although the maps said otherwise).

The way back was good in its own way - a wide road, near one side of which trees now and then part, which allows you to see the beautiful Kemero-Kirsh landscapes, and near the other side, either a coniferous forest looms, or rocks of bright orange color hang over.

From the road at the right time, you will need to turn onto the path, which will lead to Kemer

After walking a little more, you can see the very mountain with the flag that we visited

A winding path leads us to the highway. Hello Kemer)

It remains to return to our hotel, on the way a downpour covers us, and we run home through the puddles - wet and happy.

Here is a mini-trip lasting approximately 3-4 hours can be arranged in a small resort Kemer.
