My husband and I were in Turkey for the first time. We fell in love with Thailand and we went on vacation there. But it was time to visit Turkey. We had a tour of the main attractions - Antalya, Kemer, Denizli, Pamukkale. Upon arrival at the last point, we were surprised by the beauty of nature, but we were most impressed by the Travertine terraces. This phenomenon is quite rare, as far as I know, there are such formations in China. But in Turkey the most famous and not surprising. This is not at all the same as what we saw in the pictures. They are huge, very bright and snow-white, so they are also called White Terraces.
They are bizarre in shape and not all are filled with water, there are also dry places where you can take a picture if you wish. Naturally, you can walk along the reservoirs, but be sure to be barefoot, they are watching this. The water is very warm and pleasant, the thermal springs themselves are considered healing. In general, you need to allocate almost a full day if you are going to visit the entire Pamukkale complex, because there really is something to see - this is the Cleopatra pool, and the ancient amphitheater, and the ancient city of Hierapolis. Excursion awesome! For this, it is worth flying to Turkey!
