I "rested" with my daughter in Marti Myra from July 5 to July 14.2018. Settled upon arrival in room 634 in the 6th building. I was immediately delighted: the room is spacious, the furniture is relatively new, the bed is clean, everything seems to be as it should. We examined the territory of the hotel, it became clear that there were shortcomings, but I decided not to bother, because the warm sea and beautiful nature erased the negative. In food, we are not picky, we decided that such an assortment would suit us. In the evening, after returning from the beach, taking a shower and walking barefoot to the balcony, it became clear that the floor was dirty and had not been washed for a long time. Okay, let's walk around the room in slates : ), it doesn't matter, I didn't want to waste precious time explaining to the staff. By the way, the lighting in the room is very poor - twilight at any time of the day, even if you turn on all four dim lamps at the same time. Arriving for dinner at the main restaurant, it became clear that you need to look for places at the table and stand in lines for food. Well, it's not critical, we'll survive, we'll be patient, the high season, after all,
everyone wants to rest. After the first night, several bites appeared on the body. They began to itch terribly by lunchtime. Well, maybe mosquitoes, I thought. Okay, sea water will heal. After the second night, the bites on the body increased, one huge blister appeared on the leg, as if five mosquitoes had bitten in one place at once, the leg was swollen from below to the knee. We decided to inspect the room with telephone flashlights for insects and found no one. After the fourth night, the bites arrived, it all itched terribly, they googled the topic, and by the appearance and time of the bites themselves, they began to suspect bedbugs. Checked the beds, mattresses - everything is clean. As the night approached, it became more and more disturbing : ), so we decided to inspect all the cracks in the room. I even had to turn the base of the bed. And here the hysteria began, because from below, inside the first inspected bed, a nest of bedbugs was found, and, judging by the appearance, they settled there a long time ago.
One bug was sitting outside the nest, all this was photographed in order to have evidence in the form of a photo. At the reception, they began to assure that it was just such a beetle, it’s okay, they say, take a walk for half an hour while we spray and everything will be fine. Somehow they didn’t want to put up with this at all, they began to demand another room, because in order to get rid of these insects, it was necessary at least to embroider the upholstery of the bed, under which the nest was visible, and “walk” at 12 at night until all this would make it not seem acceptable. They agreed to give us a different number, and for 2.5 hours we reviewed every item, every seam in our clothes, so as not to carry the infection with us. A cursory inspection of the new room gave hope that there were no bedbugs. The staff assured us that the infected room would definitely be processed, as they say, it happens: a humid warm climate and all that... Our new room (building 17, room 1732) was clean at first sight (dim lighting).

Upon closer inspection, the same dirty floor and furniture as in the previous room turned out to be. Bedding and towels are clean, although torn in places. The refrigerator was plugged into the outlet, but both outside and inside it gave out heat, the adjustment did not help, I decided to just unplug it from the outlet so that at least it would not heat the room - it’s already stuffy, it’s still three days to rest, and it’s a pity to waste time on disassembly.
On the same day, by lunchtime, there were already other vacationers in room 634, it was not possible to warn them about a possible problem. I hope that they did not slip the same bed with the "real owners. "
Scandals over sunbeds, struggle for food and places in the restaurant, dirt in the room, unprofessional staff; as well as the advantages of the hotel in the form of a good location to the sea and beautiful nature - for me personally, all this fades when you are quietly eaten at night, and during the day the bites itch terribly.
Special thanks to the spa workers on site: a great massage from Erman and Sofia, the magical hands and heart of the cosmetologist Inzhi, the attentiveness of the managers Anna and Tekin. These people brightened up our stay at Marti Myra.
P. S. After every night out of three, bites also appeared in the new room, but I already wanted to go home and the last night I almost didn’t go to bed, since the check-out from the hotel was at 2.20 at night. I think that this is not a problem of one number and case. The problem is in the whole hotel. Now we are going home and thinking about how to process things upon arrival from the bed bugs so that the same “happiness” does not appear at home. Terribly tired from lack of sleep at night during our "rest" in Marti Myra 5 *. For me personally, this hotel deserves 3+ out of 5 only because the hoteliers could not (or did not want to) calculate the maximum number of vacationers that is comfortable for the vacationers themselves, who ultimately have to fight for service.
3+ is excluding bedbugs. For looking at the breeding of bedbugs, I would put 0. For me, this is critical, for my money I will definitely not go to “check” how they got rid of it there. I think the problem is in the elementary lack of lighting in the rooms, because of this the cleaners simply do not see the dirt, or it is the banal negligence of the staff, both cleaning the rooms and supervising / regulating the cleaning itself.

By the way, on the last day of our stay, we had a bottle of wine from the main restaurant and a plate of fruit in our room. It was probably such an apology from the hoteliers, or they just have such a tradition, I did not specify.
It is a pity that the vacation was ruined because of people who are hungry for profit at any cost, at the cost of the health and nerves of tourists, at the cost of their reputation.
