ХОРОШЕЕ МЕСТО ДЛЯ БЮДЖЕТНОГО ОТДЫХА GOOD PLACE FOR A BUDGET HOLIDAY

We got to PALMET BEACH RESORT KEMER 5* against our will. We bought a tour at CLUB MARAKESH BEACH HOTEL 3 * (tour operator TUI). The fact that we changed the hotel, found out at the airport near the bus.
The guide solemnly presented this news to us... To be honest, I was upset. The journey took about 40 minutes. Palmet was the first stop. We arrived at the hotel at 4 am, tired and sleepy. Naturally, no one was going to settle us, they say, wait for 14:00. Because I was with children (14 and 7 years old), then, without hesitation, I offered money. I was refused, referring to the fact that the hotel is full. We settled down in the hall on sofas and waited for 7:00 to go to breakfast, and then to the sea.
In order not to take up your time, I briefly report the shortcomings at the very beginning:
• Disgusting air conditioning system in the rooms: hot and stuffy;
• Interruptions in hot water: you can normally take a shower only during the day or late in the evening;
• "Tired towels";

• Refrigerators do not cool properly;
• Drips and dampness in the corridor;
• To ensure a comfortable place on the beach - do not be too lazy to get up at 6-6.30 am and book a sun lounger;
• The kitchen is simple, not gourmet;
• There is no cleaning in the rooms, only visibility;
• Lack of animation in its normal sense;
• At lunch and during dinner, you need to look for a place in the canteen, forks and plates (poorly washed and chipped);
• I heard from people that there was a problem with the elevator. Personally did not check, lived on the 1st floor.
If the above doesn't scare you, move on.
ROOM: They settled us in the "new building", it consists of 3 floors: 0th - technical, 1st and 2nd - residential. Renovations are in full swing in this area. Unfortunately, Ravshan and Jamshut carry them out. The number went to 1022. There are no complaints about it... It can be seen that fresh cosmetics have been carried out, which is at the final stage. Everything except the furniture is new and clean. There are no foreign smells. The balcony overlooks the neighboring hotel and the construction waste dump. To be honest, I don’t care, I went out to the balcony 2 times a day for a minute - hang towels and pick them up.
Diskach from a neighboring hotel with a closed balcony and the fan turned on (I can’t call this a misunderstanding an air conditioner) is almost inaudible. The mini disco is very audible, but it ends at 21:00.
CATERING: During my stay, the food was a shaft: meat with meat)). In potatoes with meat and pilaf, they were looking for potatoes and rice in the literal sense - solid meat. Very tasty cuisine for lovers of simple dishes. Champignons in different forms pleased me. In general, the choice is very large. Cooking options: steam, stew, grill. Choose what you like. "Herbs" were also enough: cucumbers, tomatoes, basil, peppers, lettuce, parsley, dill and many dressing options. There is a corner for self-preparation of salad: board and knife. I put a huge PLUS for the Palmet kitchen!

Tip for coffee lovers: bring coffee from home. Coffee here is shmurdyak from a machine. For children, drink is water. I didn’t give my Yuppies from the machine. Thermos and dried fruits - foreva! I drive like this every year. I'm making compote. There is no shortage of drinking water. At any time you can take bottles in bars and reception.
BEACH: pebbles of various sizes; sun loungers are tired, asking for retirement, mattresses - after the sun loungers))). There are not enough sun loungers for everyone, but not because there are not enough of them, but because of our mentality: they will fill the place, but they don’t come to the beach. Pierce is very tired... it is better not to walk barefoot - splinters are provided. I don’t understand what prevents us from covering it with something (as in neighboring hotels) and putting a couple of normal sun loungers with umbrellas.
SEA: awesome! Sweet, crystal clear. I liked that there is no ban on night swimming. Sunset - pebble fraction 20-40mm, the depth is very close to the shore. It is possible without special shoes, but I went in coral shoes.
POOLS: deep - about 1.60 (no marking) and shallow with slides about 80 cm; there is still a children's paddling pool), I don’t know the depth.
BARS: Meduza lobby. There are no complaints, the guys are trying, making cocktails, washing dishes. I drank only Mojito, Gin and Tonic and beer. All three drinks went great. Here you can drink and hang out on the Internet on the ball.
Bar on the beach. Everything is poured only in disposable plastic, by lunchtime there is no more ice. In general, it's ok.
A la carte: you can not go. Nothing interesting, except that food is brought to you right under your nose. The dishes described on the menu do not correspond to the specified composition at all))
Summing up, I note that with all the shortcomings of this hotel, I can recommend it, but only to non-demanding people. I myself would come here again, but only after the modernization of the air conditioning system.

And now some numbers: the tour cost us 840 euros for three for 7 nights (because we booked another hotel). If we exclude from this amount the cost of the charter for all round-trip 503 euros (Kyiv-Antalya), then the hotel went at best only 337 euros, this is 48 euros per day for three or 16 euros / day per person. What are the requirements? For 16 euros / day you were settled in normal conditions, provided with soapy-ryl, bedding, tasty and satisfying food, booze, the sea...
