I monitored for a long time where and when in Turkey you can relax on a budget and interestingly. Marmaris immediately fell into my field of vision. We flew in October, when there were already few people, but the weather was a bomb, and the cost was a penny (about 800 USD per couple))). The first impression is the choral polyphony of incomprehensible birds on the pine trees immediately when you leave the Dalaman airport. Then an hour and a half transfer to Marmaris. On the way, as usual, the guide lures you on excursions from the tour operator (ala the best Turkish delight can only be purchased on excursions with our company, etc. ), don't be fooled))). What was surprising, our hotel was the last one on the bus route and we managed to see all the hotels where our fellow travelers settled. All the hotels were in the CITY ITSELF!? ? In general, I don’t understand how you can relax while living with a view from the windows of the road? Our hotel was located in a protected pine zone, all in flowers, palm trees and other greenery! At the reception, we were met by a wonderful employee of "Grand Yazici" Elena (strict, specific and at the same time completely adequate), she told everything, provided the keys to quite sane bungalows without any additional payments! The rooms are good, without fanaticism, but for a similar price, that's it! The kitchen is very even, I especially liked the beef with gravy and desserts, as well as a lot of vegetables and fruits. Humorous staff (I especially remember the employee of the bar on the ground floor near the pool named Speedy constantly trolling the Germans and the British) The sea is a little cool, but if you enter, you don’t want to leave. Almost every day we walked along the promenade to Marmaris and back, stopping at passing bars along the way. The prices are absolutely reasonable, although cheaper, of course, in the supermarkets of the city. I recommend an excursion to Dalyan to everyone (it takes all day), the main thing is to have the right guide (I don’t remember the name, a young lady from St. Petersburg, look for her, all the serious sellers of excursions know her there). We also managed to ride around the islands of the Aegean Sea (buy excursions from the guy who is located to the right of our hotel, towards Marmaris Park). On the central streets of the city, bargain prices for things are, of course, fakes, but the quality is nothing (I liked Lacoste, a crocodile that is given separately with things, glue wherever you want).
I would especially like to note the hookah man, let him take 10 lira more than in other places in Marmaris, but if you more or less know English and you manage to talk with him, the trip will be remembered forever))). Summing up, I will say one thing: I recommend it, the ideal price / emotion ratio.
All the best!! !
