So, flight, transfer - everything is fine, respect to Anex tour.
Check-in: a surprise was waiting - we bought a standard room, upon check-in I asked for a room with a sea view with a surcharge. They gave me a room with a sea view at no extra charge, thanked me only with a good tip, but I could not do this, no one asked or hinted.
On the eve, in the comments I read that Turkey has changed after Covid, for the worse, even in 5 stars there are no hygiene items, shampoos, lotions... In Marmaris Palace, everything is on a level, the room is not big, but modern, clean, everything is there necessary. Shampoos, gels, lotions, shaving accessories, washcloths, slippers - everything is there, in single packs. The room was on the fifth floor of the main building, a view of a million!! ! Sea, mountains!
There is a balcony, everything is wonderful. A compliment was even waiting for us: wine and fruits, the idea is good, but the implementation....the fruits are green, the banana is not the first freshness, what can you say - the human factor and this, by the way, is the main problem, all the shortcomings were connected precisely with the human factor.
To be short, I liked everything: the place - forest, sea, mountains - 10 points.
Beaches - several locations, two piers, coastline, VIP cabins - there are plenty of places, there were no problems.
The food is excellent, there is a lot of everything, the choice of meat, fish, sweets...
In the presence of 7 bars, an excellent coffee shop, a pastry shop, in short, a lot of everything, for every taste. With anti-covid measures, too, everything is fine. All staff are wearing masks, hand sanitizers are everywhere, masks are being distributed, tables are being disinfected...., but vacationers are everywhere without masks and they don’t care.
The staff is generally friendly, with a few exceptions.
Now for the disadvantages:
The main problem, due to which I lowered the score, is that in the sea, something stings. And my wife was not at all lucky, she leaned on the buoys in the sea and received a serious burn of her arm from the elbow to the hand. The hand was covered with blisters, reddened and very sick. We turned to the Lobby, they said that they had no idea what it could be (but it seems they are being cunning, I had read about this problem in reviews before), they took me to the doctor, who smeared it with an ointment, which only worsened the situation. Fortunately, we are experienced tourists and we had ointment and antihistamines with us. My arm hurt for several days.
What kind of problem, no one says, but it looks like some kind of plankton.
The second problem is smoking, everywhere and no one makes remarks to anyone. They smoke in the restaurant, on the beach, in the rooms, especially Turkish citizens, who were many at the end of September!
There are problems with cleaning rooms, sometimes public toilets, cabanas on the beach are not cleaned at all and sunbeds are not wiped, and due to the presence of many cats, this becomes a problem.
But these shortcomings did not prevent us from having a wonderful holiday. Thanks to the hotel and staff for a great stay! Wish you the right choice and have a good rest!! !
We arrived at the hotel at 7:00, we were greeted by friendly staff and offered to go to breakfast. Settlement at 14:00. The hotel is 80-90% full, but the territory is very large and there are no crowds.
The food is varied - for every taste, a large number of fish (sea bass, dorado, trout), meat (chicken, turkey, beef and lamb), vegetables, fruits and sweets - everything is very tasty. Drinks and alcohol - all day.
The rooms are comfortable, cleaning with change of bed linen and towels every day.
The beach is clean with good sunbeds. The sea is clean (be sure to take a mask with a tube), schools of fish swim, there are octopuses and we managed to see a turtle. Entrance to the sea by stairs.
The staff is very friendly and helpful (understand English and Russian).
The hotel has a spa and gym.
Internet only at the reception.
Walk to the center of Marmaris for about 1 hour along the beautiful promenade.
The hotel lives up to its name and is designed in the style of a palace with Turkish motifs.
I wish you all a pleasant holiday.
Pros:
Gorgeous territory, including crystal clear sea and a good beach.
I liked the food, delicious fruits - melons, grapes, nectarine, grilled fish - trout, squid rings, mussels (2 times a week).
Service quality and friendly staff.
Minuses:
Transfer time from the airport to the hotel is 2 hours 40 minutes (on the way 3 arrivals to other hotels, back - 4 hotels).
The staff does not speak Russian, either English or Turkish. Of all those with whom I had to communicate, only two animators knew Russian. According to the same animators, this is due to the fact that about 70% of vacationers are from Europe.
Weak Wi-Fi, constant disconnections when talking on Viber.
Biting fish in the sea, you can’t stand quietly in the sea.
The territory is very green, well-groomed.
The rooms are in good condition, after cosmetic repairs. I liked the bungalow rooms more - they are larger in area (and the bathroom is larger) and the furniture is newer. Towels and bedding are white. They clean up well. Audibility in the bathroom is great! You can talk to your neighbors without straining))) We did not observe such a problem in the room. In the part of the hotel where the kids club and playground in the bungalows in the rooms you can hear music and evening shows at lunchtime. For sensitive families and with children, this can be uncomfortable. We heard, but it did not interfere with sleep; neither we are children))
The food is good. The cleanliness of the restaurant is top notch. The red napkins in the video on the tables are disposable.
Only some guests finished eating and left, instantly the waiter wipes the table, lays out new napkins and cutlery. Children's high chairs are always clean, in a film and with wet wipes.
Free ice cream for lunch. The bar has ice cream for money.
Upon arrival (from 27.05) there was not enough fruit: oranges, apples, pears, medlar, green plums (not always all at the same time). After Ramadan every day there was a watermelon for breakfast, lunch and dinner))
Drinks in bars - local production. Plus free nuts.
You can have a snack on the territory of the hotel during the day, at any convenient time, tasty and varied (pastries, pizza, gozleme, etc. ). There is a coffee shop with brewed coffee.
Animation - software. There is a schedule of all activities - who wants to participate. In the evening, a children's disco and then a show of visiting artists. You can play minigolf for free and some other game (I don’t know what it’s called and how to describe it briefly and clearly).
In the description of the hotel there is a rope park, but it was not installed with us (they did not specify why).
We didn’t go to the kids club - we had our own club)) But there are no Russian speakers among the children’s animators (there is a Turkish girl who “speaks a little” Russian). The animation team has a Russian-speaking guy (Danil) and a girl (Natasha) from Ukraine, but they do not work in the kids club.
The beach is a slab, entry into the sea is only by steps. In the description and in the reviews there is information about a small piece of the beach with a sunset from the shore, but in fact this part of the beach turned out to be fenced off from the main beach. You can get there only from the beach for adults and there are boats, catamarans, etc.
There were always enough sunbeds for everyone. Even when our large company (15 people) came to the beach at 10 am, we found places in a pile without problems. Beach towels are not new but in good condition.
The sea is clean and transparent.
For birthday - from the hotel fruit and wine in the room (children without wine). Cake for money, depends on the size.
There are baby carriages for a deposit, there are no pots and coasters.
Gestrelation - several girls (five), Russian-speaking, you can contact the reception around the clock.
Guide Aneksa - pleasantly surprised. A little about excursions and a lot of useful information for recreation - where it is profitable to change money, where to get bicycles at a good price and where to go, how to get to Marmaris, what to try and see there, etc. I definitely recommend the hotel. Briefly so)))
I want to say a special "thank you" to the receptionist Maxim. I have never seen such a goat in hotels in Turkey. Buy a better number for $ 50, I still understand, but! My child needed medical attention and the help of a doctor. So this man Maxim said that it was useless to call the insurance company and refused to help. He offered to go to the pharmacy and that's it. It's too long to describe the whole situation, I just advise you not to approach him right away. The scum is rare.
It was he who spoiled the impression of the hotel!
Cleaning is very lame, tips do not help. Everything is fine in terms of nutrition, there were no complaints, there is an excellent choice of dishes for kids (many kinds of stews, mashed potatoes, cereals, soups) the rooms are the most ordinary, even modest, as for its price. The entrance to the sea has concrete slabs, where there are many sun loungers, there is a gentle sandy entrance for the kids.
Of these obvious disadvantages for us: no internet in the room (not enough), no bathrobes, gels / shampoos had to be asked, as well as very loud music from a neighboring hotel until 12 at night. The walls are thin, the windows and doors are old wooden ones with large gaps.
The beach is sandy, but it is not natural, a concrete-filled shore, and sand was brought from above, so the entrance to the sea is by stairs and immediately the depth is somewhere waist-deep for an adult (it is inconvenient and dangerous for children). The beach is wide and long, there are a lot of places, a lot of sunbeds. Purely.
The sea was still cold, about 20 degrees. The children were not bathed. The pools are also cold, they began to warm up only by the end of May. Swimming pools: one large, one medium, one for children and two small under the exit from the water slides.
The food is typical for Turkish hotels, we did not go hungry. But there was nothing special. Seafood was sometimes in the form of salads. The restaurant is very large, both outdoors and indoors. There is a children's menu and a separate room with a TV where children can eat (but the menu is the same as for adults, everything is the same fried, fatty, etc. ) I fed the eldest mainly from the vegetarian menu (there are more boiled dishes), and the youngest brought everything with her (porridge, mashed potatoes). Separately, there is no place to cook such babies up to a year. The only thing that went to a meeting at the administration and was given a kettle in the room (we asked for it through our guide). In general, the hotel is designed for 2 thousand people. May is not yet the season, so it was 60 percent full. By the end of May, there were noticeably more people and somehow less comfortable (but this is for us lovers of a relaxing holiday). By the way, there is no animation in May. Only in the evening at about 9 o'clock, on the stage, children can dance with the animator to children's songs.
The air temperature was 23-28 until mid-May, after 20 numbers it became sharply hot in the morning 28-30, in the afternoon it was already 35.
The room was clean, there were no foreign smells. Since there are a lot of things made of wood in the rooms, you can’t smoke, you can’t have a kettle, you can’t iron. I asked for an iron for rent, they said no, but only order ironing clothes at the price list through the maid service (I’ll say right away that it’s very expensive, for example, ironing one skirt costs 4 euros, shorts - 2 euros, shirt - 5 euros, dress - 6 euros ). Since I didn’t expect this and brought everything crumpled, I had to go buy an iron in a store in Marmaris (it came out cheaper). The bed was changed every three days, the mattresses were of course stained, the furniture was old. Many wrote it in the reviews that the hotel needs renovation.
The most important thing, of course, is there, which is why we went, this is territory and air. The mixture of coniferous and sea air is very useful for children. And another big plus is the promenade along the hotels along the coast, which stretches all the way to Marmaris and along the whole of Icmeler, if in the other direction. The territory of the hotel is large, not flat, with hills, but the slopes are not steep, you can carry a stroller almost everywhere. There is nothing to do outside the hotel, there is just a route to Marmaris. We walked to Marmaris, along the promenade and back with a three-year-old child who is without a stroller. If it’s not hot, then it’s quite comfortable and not hard to walk, in an hour we reached the Bim store from the hotel (this is the cheapest place where you can buy diapers / wipes).
I’ll note one more nuance - I didn’t find dairy-free cereals for children in any store, so if you have questions about milk, keep in mind. Hipp saw baby purees in shops near hotels.
Well, in conclusion, advice to those traveling with babies who are light sleepers and they need silence, ask immediately upon check-in, the right side of the hotel (this applies to bungalows), if you look at it from the sea.
