The hotel is located at the end of the town of Icmeler, located 5 kilometers from Marmaris. The hotel is located under the mountain and some distance from the city center, so it has its own, quiet life.
It is worth noting that the town of Icmeler itself is something. Very cozy and quiet town. The town is fairly clean. A lot of greenery. Even late at night, the feeling of security does not leave, even in the alleys there is video surveillance.
Those traveling to Icmeler should know that the town is aimed mainly at middle-aged Europeans, there are almost no Russians there. There are more of us in Marmaris.
From here, there are the following features of Icmeler:
1. The most common language is English. Without knowledge of English, you can go there, but the rest will be inferior due to the social circle, limited to compatriots.
2. The price level is not low.

There are a lot of cafes and restaurants with European cuisine in the city, quite a few Turkish ones (there is a shawarma, quite tasty, the British love it)
4. There are few hotels with an AI system, because Europeans come to BB or apartments, but eat in restaurants.
5. No entertainment. At 23:00 - quiet time. Music subsides in the cafes of the city. In many cafes there are full-time animators who move the people, but, given the contingent, they are not good at it, so it’s impossible to dance normally in cafes. There is a nightclub (like Ambience), but even the locals do not recommend it. Therefore, for entertainment - in Marmaris, but more on that below.
6. The attitude of locals towards vacationers is quite correct. The attraction and offer to buy is within reasonable limits. In general, everyone is friendly and courteous (and does not hide behind a deceit), which is very unusual after our country.
From Icmeler to Marmaris and back every 2-3 minutes, dolmush run, which finish walking at approximately 23:00, and this pleasure costs 2.5 lira.
Marmaris and Icmeler are located in the bay of the Mediterranean Sea (there is no Aegean there), closed by an island. But it turned out that with a strong wind in Icmeler there were almost no waves, although there were waves in Marmaris and the water became dirty.
On the mountain near the hotel, as they wrote, goats scurry about, but these goats are by no means wild, but are bred on a farm under the mountain. At times, the wind blew from the side of this farm, bringing the smell.
Mosquitoes - no. At night, cars drive through the streets of Icmeler and spray mosquito repellent.

Hotel
As I understand it, the hotel is quite old, which can be seen both in the building itself and in its filling. I would rate the technical condition at three: the furniture and equipment are not the first freshness.

The hotel is very small, there is actually no territory: at the exit from the hotel there is an open part of the restaurant, two small pools and a bar, behind which the beach begins through the footpath. I was surprised to find that the lobby smoothly transitions into the closed part of the restaurant. This is one of the features of the resort of Marmaris. The land here is much smaller and it is much more expensive than in the resorts of Alanya and Antalya, so small hotels prevail here, although on the first line you can see large 5-star handsome anthills.

Service.
Service is perhaps the strongest point of this hotel. Check in took about 5 minutes. Since the hotel is small, everyone knows each other by sight. The staff greets everyone. There is a director in the hotel until the night, who tirelessly looks after the staff. Liberties are mainly afforded by young people. In general, everyone is very friendly and helpful.
Over time, there is a feeling of a family hotel.
The room is cleaned consistently daily. The quality of cleaning does not depend on the availability and size of tips (we left tips, our friends did not, but the results were identical). The cleaners are very shy and smiling, but they don't even speak English.
During meals, tablecloths, towels, and cutlery are quickly changed. I liked the mutual assistance among the staff: if one of the younger ones does not have time, then the older ones help him.
In general, the staff is not spoiled for tips and unobtrusive. I also note Christina at the reception. Very nice, sincere and good girl. She was the main information channel for us regarding the hotel and the city. When we left in the morning, in the evening it was proposed to collect a dry breakfast for the road.
In general, well done!

Rooms.
The rooms are not the first freshness, small. Upset door locks - old.
The main feature of the rooms is that in order to exit / enter, you need to go to the bathroom (due to the location of the entrance and walls). We got a room with stained carpet. There were bed sheets with holes. But everything is very clean!
The lack of sound insulation was not noticed.
Bed linen and towels changed every day. The bathroom is small but sufficient, all bathroom equipment is working. Bath is clean.

Serious point on the climate in the room. Air conditioners work by the hour. Moreover, the hours are chosen extremely uninteresting: air conditioners work in the evening and at night. The sun rises from the sea and sets behind the mountain. Therefore, I recommend taking rooms with a sea view (Sea View): the sun looks into them only early in the morning, so you can cool off with an open window (in early June), although it is already hot in the morning. Our friends lived in a room with a mountain view (Mountain View). During the day they were tormented by the sun and the sound of the hood of a nearby cafe prevented them from resting.
Going to rest in Marbas in July-August, if the issue with air conditioning is not resolved, I would think.

Food and bar.
The food is quite extensive, but without frills. There was regular meat, which was often grilled outside. Mostly chicken, but there was also fish and beef. Quite a lot of spicy food, but I didn’t have heartburn after it. Enough vegetables. Salads were both already prepared and presented with sets of ingredients. There were often potatoes. Free is the band's favorite. During the day, buns and pita bread with cheese and greens were baked on the street. A set of fruits and berries (watermelon) was not particularly impressive. It was sweet, but not varied and quickly snapped up. Although I like to eat a lot and tasty food, I had no complaints about nutrition. As for the trio, very decent food.
Alcohol that falls into AI: Chilled relatively tolerable white and red wine. On the bar: raki, vodka, gin, beer. Beer - not bad, bright Ephesus.
Strong alcohol - local, terrible quality.

Beach
The beach, though small, but its own, actually free. There were enough sun loungers and mattresses for everyone. Mattresses, sun loungers, umbrellas - not the first freshness, but within reasonable limits. If people do not blatantly litter, the beach is clean. There are many urns.
The water is cold but very clean. Right next to the hotel, a spring comes out into the sea, so if you sail towards the center of Icmeler, the hearth becomes warmer. Although there is a water taxi pier nearby, only once was a slight oil slick on the surface noticed. The beach is sandy. Entry into the sea is smooth. First sandy, then becomes rocky. Next - the grass at a depth.

Useful tips.
1. Every Wednesday - the market. Mixed. Nothing interesting, but you can bargain very well for leather or jeans. There are other clothes as well. Do not take packed Turkish delight, no matter how cheap it is: there will be a lot of cardboard inside, and the actual quality of sweets will disappoint.

It is better - to have it cut off from sausages in front of you.
2. One of the ways to hit the road for the night on Bar Street in Marmaris. Along the main street, near Vince's, there is a stand with excursions and a sign "Romance is here. " There is a Russian-speaking Roman. You can arrange a transfer to Bar Street at 23:00 with him. This pleasure is free, but there is one condition. It is necessary to spend 40 minutes (30.60) in the mediocre Crazy Daizy club, where you will be taken by the doorways in the first place. In addition, if you send back at 3:00, you need to be there at 2:30. But for 40 minutes at the exit, a man is watching, who brings you there by transfer. He does not come to the exit immediately, so if you have the proper ingenuity, you can slip in front of him : ). The most popular club (also recommended by locals) is the Arena.
3. All prices in Icmeler are originally in Lira. The conversion rate from lira to dollars is extremely unstable, so we paid in lira everywhere. At the airport - unfavorable exchange rate.
It is best to change dollars for lira - in the bank branches of the city. When flying back, do not forget to exchange lira for dollars back, because after passing through passport control in Dalaman there will be no more exchanges.
4. I won’t write about prices at operators and in the city: a lot has already been written. But they arrange excursions for operators and for street vendors - the same people on the same equipment.

5. Don't get fooled by tour operator brands. We traveled with Pegasus, which offered the highest prices of tours of a similar configuration. The travel agency explained this by the good reputation of Pegasus. In practice, I liked the transfer: they delivered it quickly, they didn’t deliver it to any stores, they arrived on schedule. But the hotel guide Nastya is an example of rudeness and slovenliness in appearance. Do not believe that without a stamped (somewhere in the police, city hall, consulate) voucher you cannot leave the hotel. That the formidable tourist police scurry about everywhere (!
) and checks everyone's passports and vouchers. That if you are caught by the police when you are on an excursion from street vendors, you will pay a fine of the order of several thousand dollars (Nastya is a big dreamer).
6. Sea View room gives a great view of the bay and Marmaris, especially at dawn. In addition, the beach and the open part of the restaurant are perfectly visible from it. Provided that the room and the balcony are connected by a sliding door on the entire wall, excellent views are guaranteed upon awakening. , while for us the difference from the travel agency was about $ 200.

"Good! ". I repeated this phrase every day.
Marmaris (and Icmeler) is very different from the Antalya coast. This is another Turkey, European.
There is no Tagil here, they do not know Russian, sellers do not get it. There are quite high prices, but very tasty cuisine of restaurants / cafes and a good level of service. There is a cool sea, beautiful mountains, orange trees and pine forests.
Icmeler himself leaves a very good impression. It's very cozy and calm here. And if you want entertainment, then in 10 minutes on a dolmush you will get to Marmaris, but then - to Icmeler to gain strength. The hotel itself is fairly average, but clean. The staff is pleasant and well educated. The food is varied and plentiful. Considering it's all 3 stars, it's really "Good! ".
