Hotel Nergis 4* Marmaris. We rested from May 13-27.2007.
Located about 1.5 km from the center. Consists of 4 buildings. The best building A is near the sea, in which we lived due to the fact that we stamped our feet very, very much (we had a ticket to the Lydia Hotel), so we were still lucky. Rested for 14 days. What can I say, the territory of the hotel is small, which is normal for the city. The food is so, on average, but it is simply impossible to stay hungry. There is no animation (or rather, what is not animation). The staff does not speak Russian AT ALL.
We got the impression that this hotel is visited mainly by Europeans, a few Germans. Attitude towards Russians is worse than towards foreigners. A particularly unpleasant incident occurred on the beach: On the first day we went out to sunbathe, swam and began to dry standing up - the beach boy did not like this and he tried in every possible way (in English) to put us to bed, which we certainly did not like.
We argued with him, but we failed to convince him and he continued to stop us from sunbathing while standing. We did not like this and we quickly complained to the guide (by the way, the guide at the Odeon tour - Afet is a wonderful girl, a true professional). After that, the beach boy's creeps temporarily stopped, but that's not all. The next day, getting up early, my sister and I took sunbeds on the first line of the beach, putting our towels on them, and went to sleep further. What was our surprise when, after breakfast, we did not find our towels in the same place, they were already on the 2nd and 3rd lines - not by the sea !!! ! Okay, I thought someone messed up.
The next day, our girlfriends took sunbeds by the sea early and stayed there swimming and sunbathing. Imagine what happened after breakfast????
A beach boy came running and began to persuade them to change places, even offered money ...to which the girls, of course, did not agree, he shouted at them and cursed, can you imagine what they endured on vacation ??? ? Some time later, foreigners came up and asked them to exchange sunbeds ..... in short, they also left without salty sips. There are a lot of such incidents there, it's just that not all Russians want to swear, we went to the administration, of course, we had to figure it out for a long time, in English, of course .....
The end of the epic: the beach boy did not reach us until the end of our holiday. Later it turned out that for money he borrows sunbeds near the sea for foreigners, besides, he works as a bartender, and foreigners order drinks from him - again, he profits ...This is not the only thing that made us think about the dislike for Russians in this hotel.
We had a child with us, when we came to dinner, he took a plate himself and went to the cooks for hot, and so, huge plates are laid on foreigners ..... but our baby (he is 14 years old), did not want to put more than a certain one, I don’t know by whom, can you imagine what???? ? - french fries - he had to stand in line 2-3 times (he was just ashamed to ask us ... ).
And yet ...they clean the rooms time after time ....Sometimes every day, sometimes...After 3 days ...apparently they will not have time to reach the room. As I said, we lived in building A, and we had a view of the sea on the balcony (usually foreigners are accommodated here, but if you don’t feel sorry for the money, you can just give during registration ..... and then you will be settled in the desired building ... ). There are rooms with one large bed, and there are with two separate beds, carpet and a normal shower. I know what kind of rooms in the building near the road - there is no carpet and the rooms are smaller in my opinion.
I forgot to say - the beach is small - so you need to borrow sunbeds early, although there is a nearby beach - where you just order drinks and lie down and sunbathe.
What I still liked about the hotel: 1) Cute, small, cozy, 2) Friendly staff (although the bartenders pester - which is not allowed in other hotels), 3) It's cool to have lunch sitting at the edge of the pool, 4) Once a week sometimes a Turkish night is cool for those who don’t go anywhere, 5) At 11 pm, a bus with a disco guide picks up from the hotel and takes everyone to the bar street to the disco - then at 2-3 everyone picks up and takes them back to the hotel (or rather those who wants to go with him - because we never left on time - ADVICE do not stay long at one disco - you need to try EVERYTHING), 6) Close to the center and there are a lot of shops around. In general, we had a great rest - just at first there was a bad sediment from the beach boy, but then we came off to the fullest ....
