I want to explore all regions of Turkey. Previously rested in Avsallar near Alanya on the Mediterranean Sea and Kusadasi on the Aegean Sea. Now it's the turn of Marmaris, where the confluence of these seas takes place! As the guide said: Mediterranean-Aegean Sea) Marmaris offers a lot of excursions for every taste! In past visits to Turkey, we were in Pamukkale and Ephesus, sailed on a pirate ship.

Resting in Marmaris for 8 days, we went to Icmeler beach, went on sea excursions 2 times - sailed on a yacht in the Aegean Islands and visited the island of Cleopatra. On a bus tour we went to the Saklikent canyon and Oludeniz bay, where we watched the flights of daredevils on paragliders that descended from Mount Babadag - about 2000 m above sea level.

In Fethiye, we stopped at the Bercekiz Servet Sekerleme oriental sweets factory, where we were treated to fresh Turkish delight with delicious nuts.

We visited the fortress of Marmaris Kalesi, the marina, walked along the night street of bars.

Now about all this in more detail and more clearly)

We went to the beach in Icmeler on a white-orange minibus for 5 liras per person. Near the hotel on the main street, at the stop with the letter D (dur, durak - stop), the minibus stopped. It was not possible to walk about 6 km from Marmaris due to the extreme heat and stuffiness.

Icmeler is surrounded by high mountains covered with pine forests. The cicadas sing loudly. The beach is sand and pebble. The water is slightly cooler than in Marmaris. But in the heat it was just a buzz! We bought cocktails on the beach and rested on sun loungers under an umbrella.

A wonderful sea excursion on a yacht around the Aegean Islands, where we admired all the shades of blue, blue, turquoise. In the morning we were picked up from the hotel and taken to Hisaronya Bay. We settled down on the upper deck of the yacht. It offers the best views of the beautiful bays and beaches that we sailed. The yacht had a bar with soft drinks, later we were fed a delicious lunch.

We stopped and swam in different bays. . .

. . . near the volcanic Jagged Island with caves. . .

. . . in Aquarium Bay. . .

. . . went out to Kamelia Island, where they fed cute goats with bread.

On the island there are the remains of an old church dating back to the 10th century. BC

And also a tree of desires, on which colorful ribbons were tied for good luck, health, love, wealth.

The price of the tour for two is 49 euros. It was held in Russian.

Another scenic sea voyage to Sedir Island to Cleopatra Beach. We drove for about 30 minutes by bus to the village of Chamly, where we boarded a yacht at the pier. This tour was conducted in Turkish, English and Russian. The price for two with lunch and drinks is 49 euros + 15 euros entrance to Cleopatra Island.

This island was Antony's wedding gift to Cleopatra. The sand on the island looks like tiny round beads. They say they are hollow inside. He was brought there especially for Cleopatra from Egypt)

The island also has the ruins of the ancient city of Kedrai. If you find stones that look like a heart, sit on them and make a wish, love will definitely overtake you)

The water near the island is a wonderful turquoise color, the views are beautiful. Of course, there are a lot of people, from time to time, they disperse and you can be alone with nature.

We stopped in Incekum Bay. . .

. . . swimming in the Blue Lagoon. . .

. . . and near the island of rabbits and goats. The water is clear, but in some places it was very deep. For safety, you could take vests and “pasta” for swimming on the yacht.

Early in the morning we ran away from the heat in a comfortable bus to the Saklikent canyon, where we met peacocks and rabbits on the way, had breakfast at the bus stop with cheese, olives, tomatoes, Semitic bagels with honey and jam, drank juice with a biscuit.

Arriving in the canyon, we walked along the bridge, across the cold mountain river Yuvarlakchay.

The slopes rise 100 meters high, and the length of the canyon is 18 km. We were offered to go on our own, as much as we could. But in 1.5 hours we had a little time. And if we could go to the end of the gorge, we would see the ancient city of Tloss. It is convenient to walk along the river through the canyon in “corals”, or sneakers that are completely wet. You can buy special shoes there.

On the territory of this protected area, you can organize rafting and zip-lining (descent along the rope over the river). After a walk in the canyon, we had lunch at an authentic restaurant above the river.

Next, we went to Belcekiz beach in Oludeniz, where we observed picturesque views of nature and paragliders soaring in the sky.

Swim in the sea, sunbathe; sun loungers under an umbrella for 30 lire per person. Now I know for sure that I must definitely return to rest in Oludeniz and the Blue Lagoon! Enchanted by the beach!

On the way home to Marmaris, we stopped in Fethiye at the Bercekiz Servet Sekerleme sweets factory. Turkish delight from goat's milk with nuts is the freshest, just delicious! Interested tourists bought sweet souvenirs, which were packed in branded boxes. What is sold in ordinary stores is completely tasteless and stale.

The tour is interesting, bright, but the bus trip is very tiring! But, without going here, I would not know how beautiful Oludeniz is! Everything that is done is for the best! ) The price for two is 40 euros.

Perhaps there are cheaper excursions, but we liked that our groups were not very large and were among the first to arrive at the sights, and then crowds of all the other tourists went.

In the morning we went to the castle-museum Marmaris Kalesi. The fortress is located on a hill and is surrounded by picturesque cozy ancient streets. The defensive walls and observation tower offer a wonderful view of the bay and city landscapes. The entrance fee to the fortress is only in lira. Per person - 27 lira. The patio is small, but green and cozy. By the way, in Kusadasi the fortress is similar, but the territory is much larger and the entrance is free).

We climbed the narrow winding streets to the observation decks of Castle Café &Bar and Panorama Cafe. The views are wonderful!

In the evenings, we often walked along the embankment, examined beautiful yachts. . .

. . . there was no time to get to the singing colored fountains, but they are similar to those of Sharmovo and Kiev)

In the evening we often sat either on the beach or on the pier.

One day we wandered into the street of bars. People in nightclubs - a lot! And there is absolutely no one in masks)

The street of bars in the afternoon. When we were in the evening, the pictures did not turn out(

Marmaris is a wonderful city for active cheerful people! Here life is in full swing, many beaches and bars for every taste, magnificent yachts. A variety of excursions and trips are offered from Marmaris.

I advise everyone to visit this beautiful city, but do not forget about the climate. Perhaps it is better to admire and wander around Marmaris in June or September.
