We rested together with my husband at the TT Hotels (Tropical) from May 10 to May 21.2015.
I must say right away that this is a very good, this is a great hotel.
We got into it by accident. They wanted to go to Marmaris, to disappear into the noisy crowd at the youth hotel. But on the eve of departure, our tour operator "Corel Travel" offered us an upgrade to Tropical. We read the description and reviews and decided to change the concept of rest in the direction of service. Never regretted it, thanks to Corell!
Of course, first of all, this is a family hotel. With a large territory, endless pools and excellent animation. And the cuisine is a separate song, very diverse and tasty, for every taste and age. After two days of gluttony, we had to come to terms with the fact that we still won’t be able to try everything, even a little bit.
Breakfast has everything, even porridge for children. The largest selection of fruits, we had watermelons, melons, bananas, apples, pears and medlar. I will not list everything that they give for breakfast - it's a lot, like in a good 5-ke. I read in one of the reviews that the lunches are a bit poor, mostly fast food. Apparently, the situation has been corrected, the dinners are also wonderful and varied: there are ready-made salads, vegetables, herbs, soups, a choice of meat, fish and chicken, a large selection of side dishes, fruits and sweets. Dinners, and our acquaintance with the hotel began with dinner - ahhh!! ! What have we tried! Every day is special. Day of Chinese cuisine, Italian cuisine, grandma's dinner. . . Peking duck, turkey with ginger-orange sauce, seafood saute and juicy slightly salted trout were especially memorable. For all the days we went for dinner to one of the A la carte restaurants, it was a restaurant with Chinese cuisine. There are four of them in total, in three of them one dinner is provided free of charge. These are restaurants with Chinese, Mexican and Italian cuisine. On a paid basis there is a restaurant near the beach "Grill". We liked the Chinese restaurant, but still it lost to the main one, and alcoholic drinks in it are paid. Therefore, we did not go to others.
Another meal is Turkish pancake until 17:00. Sandwiches cold and hot, vegetables and french fries - at the beach bar, also until 17:00. Fast food at the pool cafe (in the same place where lunches are held) until 17:00 and ice cream from 15:00 to 17:00 in the same place.
What did we do besides eating all day long: volleyball (10 am), water polo (3 pm), archery (11 am), swimming in the sea and walking along the beach (I recommend walking to the Robinson Hotel, towards the mountain, to the right to meet crabs minks along the way, and if you are lucky or dig, then the crabs themselves and sit on the pier near the hotel), walks in Sarigerme (15-20 minutes one way, to the left of the hotel. It is worth going to the market on Tuesday, before closing, about two o'clock, so that we could have a good bargain, but personally we only bought one t-shirt for the baby there, an excellent quality replica of Armani glasses with a polarizing filter, souvenir protein and strawberries), in the evenings we no longer had no strength, no desire for outdoor activities and just played cards in the lobby or in our chic room. But for those who wish, a nightclub with a DJ is open from 23:00. This is such an open terrace, very stylish. During the day it is a beach bar, in the evening it is a chit-out bar, and closer to the night it is a nightclub. In May, it gets quite cool in the evenings, perhaps that's why we didn't want to go there (I'm frozen). But other guests spoke quite well about the nightlife of the hotel.
By the way, about the guests: the main contingent are British and Scandinavians, there are Germans, there are very few Russians. Tourists arrived from western Ukraine, we did not experience any discomfort from their presence and any problems in communication. We played sports together and talked. Of course, they also talked about politics, but without any aggression. In general, the contingent of vacationers in the hotel is very decent, it's nice to see and chat with people. During the holiday, we did not meet a single heavily drunk or rude person. Maybe a couple of nervous Russian mothers with children. The staff also treats us Russians well. There are employees in the hotel from the former USSR.
Beach: We didn't find it as bad as some reviews say. Yes, it has a preserved natural color, the color of the sand is not ideal. From the sun loungers to the sea, run 30 meters along the hot sand, without shoes - no way. At the very entrance to the sea, a couple of meters of small pebbles. Some tourists dragged sun loungers directly to the sea and, although this is prohibited, no one scolded them. But everything suited us. We walked along the sea for an hour, what do we need to walk 30 meters from the sunbeds to the sea?
Rooms: very spacious, beautiful, tasteful and stylish. The combination of white and turquoise in the design of the room sets the mood. The room is visually divided into a living room and a bedroom. With a balcony. We lived in the main building, which seemed very convenient to us. The view from the balcony to the a la carte route of the restaurant, the mood of coziness was created by the crowns of trees. Soundproofing is excellent. But we preferred to sleep with an open balcony. Only once, early in the morning, they brought cobblestones and began to pour them out, which woke us up. The rest of the days we fell down from the singing of birds.
Excursions: we did not take. We ourselves went on dolmush for a couple of days to Fethiye and Oludeniz. But this is a different story.
Valuable tips: there are refrigerators with small bottles of water on site. They are convenient to take to the sea and for walks. Sun loungers by the pool should be borrowed early in the morning, by the sea - always without problems with sunbeds. On the way to the sea, we went to the beach bar, took fruits, sandwiches and drinks, since it is not located on the beach itself.
About the cons: we found only one noticeable minus - the waffle is available only at night and early in the morning. And only in the lobby area. But they ran away from us that this problem did not exist before and will soon be eliminated. It didn’t matter to me, but my husband began to shake at the end (probably, the withdrawal started from the lack of the Internet). We also did not have enough bike and scooter rentals. The spa center there is big and beautiful, but paying clients are always a priority in the temple, and +65 in the sauna, which is ridiculous for a Russian person.
Another good thing: all the time that we were resting, we talked about the fact that you definitely need to come to this hotel with children. Paradise for kids. Only 2 kids clubs. There are Russian animators. We all the time admired their trips for ice cream: sometimes in costumes of Indians with war paint, sometimes with Hawaiian outfits, marcas and tambourines. Several pools for different ages of children. There is a pool with slides. We met several families with children of different ages who rested there 2-3 times. They asked why - they say that there is no alternative when such a service for such money. We will also try to return to Tropical at least once!
