Then he opened the door, as it turned out, to our room. We went in and asked, “What is this, a basement? ”. It is unlikely that he understood Russian, but he smiled and confidently answered “yes”. And then brazenly said to give a tip. When I said that he had nothing to tip for, I don’t like this basement room and his impudence, he still stood and waited for this tip.
After that, we returned to the reception and began to explain that we had a completely different type of room, not a basement room, we wanted a different room, but they did not understand us (Russian, English) and called each other in turn, constantly showing the same hotel map on sheet A4. In total, there were two employees who understood Russian and said that sooner than in a day they would not have another room for us, and one of them (a very unpleasant red-haired girl) answered in a boorish way “you can come here at least every hour, but we don’t give you a number let's change it. This room had huge gaps under the door, one night a cockroach about 5 cm in size climbed in from the street, they tried to catch it for half the night, but in the end they didn’t catch it and slept with the lights on. From our room there was a door to the next room, only locked with a key. It was very "interesting" before going to bed to listen to the conversations of the neighbors.
On the third day they moved, the room was with a sea view. As it turned out, one door was broken in the soul. When you take a shower, the whole bathroom “floats”. There was no shampoo, but there was body lotion and a bar of soap.
