We rested in the Golden Coast at the beginning of July 2010. The room is relatively spacious, but the air conditioner is saturated so that as soon as you enter, it blows you right away. It does not blow, only when you are lying in bed or sitting at a table in the corner. The result was not long in coming - colds children: otitis media, runny nose and cough.
I was pleasantly surprised by the abundance of free sunbeds by the pool and on the beach, although the hotel was completely full. They explained it this way: the territory is large, two pools, two beaches plus the Golden Beach area, which we can also use, by the way, there is a water park. But in addition to the water park, we are there didn’t visit anything, this is a classic second line, they go to the sea by bus. There is also a zoo and an amusement park (the latter for an additional fee). We got to the zoo only in the evening (it’s hot during the day). There is no lighting, a wild stench and doors many cages are open. There was no staff there at that time. We also joked: they only have birds in cages, or some other animals.
The beach is quite clean. The sand in the sea is very shallow and fine for children under 10 years old. There are two large boulders in the middle of the water, marked by buoys, quite slippery and sharp, it is better to stay away from them. The animation is unobtrusive and not very diverse: boccia, beach volleyball, aqua aerobics, step aerobics. In the evening, a standard set: bingo, competitions among vacationers. Three musicals in two weeks: The Lion King, Notre Dame Cathedral and Romeo and Juliet. The latter is notable for the fact that the songs in it are performed in turn in four languages: English, French, German, Russian. Very democratic. We did not visit the children's club, so we cannot tell anything about it. Gala Evenings deserve a separate story. Once every two weeks, tables are set by the pool, live music , however, after the official speech of the hotel's top management. The restaurant is closed at this time. All food is also outside around the pool. Since everyone comes to the Gala dinner at the same time, there are wild queues for food. You need to think through such things when organizing such evenings , for this, a minus. Otherwise, everything is beautiful, especially fireworks. Invited artists came twice: Circus and Shao-Lin.
The A-LA-Carte restaurant (we visited the fish restaurant) is not bad in terms of the menu, but only local drinks are served there, you can’t even order imports for money, and their “champagne” is horror. And very slow service.
As elsewhere in this region, the vast majority of vacationers are Germans. Accordingly, they behave in a businesslike way, and the service is oriented towards them, but this is a standard situation.
I was very pleased with the staff: Russian speakers at the Recepcion, porters do not beg for money for a suitcase tray, friendly waiters and bartenders. Everything is close to the European style of service.
