The third day was difficult for us - at 4 am, when we met the sunrise, we rushed to a meeting with Kharkiv. Well, as "rushed", quickly crawled by bus at a speed of 40 km / h. Arriving in Kharkiv, we settled in the hostel "Sputnik" ( http:// hostelsputnik. Com. Ua / ). Usually, the hostel is a great alternative to couchsurfing, where you can meet travelers from around the world and find a company to explore the city together. Our hostel, fortunately, turned out to be cool: in the city center, with a great renovation and all the necessary amenities and at a reasonable price! Then we went to explore the city. Yes, Kharkiv is the second most populous city in our country, the first capital of Ukraine and the center of Slobozhanshchyna. Here is one of the largest markets in Ukraine - "Barabashovo", so if you need sneakers "abibas" - welcome: ). I noticed a lot of Krishnas in the city, it seems there is a large community. You can visit them and taste Vedic food.
Interestingly, these are the ones that often depict violinists on the roofs of houses here. Couples in love make wishes under the violinists, and they come true. Also in the city there is one of the best, in my opinion, parks, a park named after Gorky - a kind of Ukrainian Disneyland. There are many attractions that are divided into zones: extreme, for children and more.
The huge Ferris wheel in Kharkiv is impressive, I advise you to ride it in the dark, when the city is drowning in the embrace of night, and the light of apartments is scattered with gold in the dark - an incredible picture!
There is a cable car right next to the park. Honestly, I don't know if we have such a thing in any other city in Ukraine. Climbs by cable car for 2 people, height - approximately at the level of the fifth floor, cost - 30 UAH. I advise everyone to try this thing, the city opens in the palm of your hand.
From the cable car we went down near Sarzhin Yar, where we collected fresh spring water. In general, it is very cool that there is such a forest park zone in the center of the city. However, it is forbidden to light a fire here, so if you want to fry sausages, bring a barbecue. There is a great public space near the sources of equipment, where you can swim and sunbathe.
In short, there is something to do for both adults and children.
After the park we walked along Pushkinskaya Street, here you can find bizarre poems by an unknown poet and artist, signed by Hamlet. From Pushkinskaya we went up to the Constitution Square, where every Wednesday there are bachata-style dances: music is playing right in the middle of the square, and people are dancing - very cool.
The first capital welcomed us so atmospherically and warmly, tomorrow we will visit other new interesting places, which we will definitely tell you about; )
