We, a group of tourists from Simferopol (Crimea), by prior arrangement (4 months in advance! ) with the director of the base "Kosmach - OST", (village of Kosmach, Kosovo district, Ivano-Frankivsk region), Ostafiychuk Vasily Tanasovich (CHMP „ Strumochek”, TOV “OST”), came to the Christmas tour.

We, a group of tourists from Simferopol (Crimea), by prior arrangement (4 months in advance! ) with the director of the base "Kosmach - OST", (village of Kosmach, Kosovo district, Ivano-Frankivsk region), Ostafiychuk Vasily Tanasovich (CHMP „ Strumochek”, TOV “OST”), came to the Christmas tour. We wanted to get acquainted with the history of these places, customs, national dances and rituals of the Hutsuls in the preparation and celebration of the Nativity of Christ, national cuisine. The terms of the tour were repeatedly specified - arrival on 01/03/2011, departure on 01/08/2011, conditions for accommodation, meals, visits to museums, sights were agreed, train tickets were bought in advance in both directions.
BUT! Here it is necessary to state point by point, otherwise those who gather (God forbid! ) at this so-called recreation center will “go crazy”.
one). So, on January 03, by 17:00, our group of 43 people (mostly children, but there were students and teachers and parents) arrived at the base. Mr. Ostafiychuk V. T. , again by repeated agreement in advance, had to settle the group in separate houses in 2-3-bed rooms with amenities per block (2 + 2), (3 + 3) ) and in the house - in 3-6 bed rooms. But in the end, 9 people lived in a similar room in the house, because. extra beds were installed (!? ).
2). The houses were not ready for our reception: in the house number 5 there was no glass in the window. On January 4, at the request of the group leader, the window was sealed with a film. The family (2 children and 2 adults) were settled in a 3-bed house No. 5 in a room without amenities.
The leaders of the group were placed on duty at the base only at 2 am on January 4 in a house in a room without amenities, which, moreover, was not heated (after continuous, exhausting 9 hours of trying to solve a huge number of domestic issues !! ). There were no light bulbs in the toilet of house number 5, the switch was broken. When checking in, to the repeated questions of tourists, Mr. Ostafiychuk V. T. answered "What do you want from me? Don't pull me! " When asked why there are no toilets in some houses, the answer was: "The previous group broke them! "
There was no water in all the houses at all! We only found out about this when we arrived! As it turned out, there was no water at the base for a long time, but the director did not consider it necessary to inform about this before arrival and did it on purpose! The group was forced to go to the bathhouse for their own money, and this is an additional cost.
In the houses, sockets dangled, sparked, shocked and posed a real danger to life.
In the house where 9+2+4 = 15 people lived, there was 1 toilet for girls and for boys. When the sewer became clogged (and it couldn't help being clogged because of the lack of water), the children and leaders would clean it themselves to remove some of the odor and reduce the risk of infectious diseases. And so it was throughout the entire stay at the base.
In each house, mice appeared every night, who arranged their mouse fuss (that was fun! ). What a normal dream (along with the cold and the smell from the toilets! ) Can we talk about here! Throughout our stay, we had to carry water for toilets and washing ourselves, cleaning in the houses was done by children and group leaders. Tourists asked for garbage bags, cleaned themselves in the premises and on the territory of the base.
Real unsanitary conditions reigned, safety equipment was at an extremely low level.
Mr. Ostafiychuk V. T. did not care in what conditions we live.
3). At night, when it was especially cold, the tourists heated the stoves on their own. two duty officers at the base practically did not rest, they worked and physically did not have time to cope with their duties. Children and leaders themselves cleaned the steps from ice, sprinkled the paths with sawdust and salt on their own initiative, because. they saw that the owner of the base did not pay attention to them and there was a real danger of breaking their legs and arms.
4). On January 4, in the dining room, when walking to your table, a floorboard broke under one of the tourists (it was either rotten or defective). Those. there was a gap in the floor, a hole. This was immediately reported to the director. But no measures were taken and the tourists themselves put a table in this place so that no one accidentally fell through and was injured.
5). On the first day, 7 people left. Four tourists were settled in a house not adapted for living in the winter (this is a summer option! ), - even two electric heaters did not save from the cold, especially at night.
On January 4, another family of 6 left. Everything that this family thought about the base they expressed to the director, and only one question was asked: “WHY DID YOU FAIL US SO? ”
6). January 7, immediately after dinner, the kitchen workers left, closing the dining room. Without drinking water, without warm water and without water even for toilets, 26 people were left! On the night of January 07-08, children's houses were not heated at all! All night, because of the cold, the children did not sleep.
7). On January 8, at 4:30 am, on the day of departure, in complete darkness, the remaining 26 people began to descend from the base to the bus station. No one from the administration, from the attendants saw the group off. About an hour, on ice, with bags and things, the group went down! IT WAS HELL! Thank God there were no injuries. The director arrived in his car when it was 100-150 meters left to walk to the bus station. He loaded some of the things into his car, drove them to the bus station and, without waiting for our bus, went home. Almost all of them were wet on the bus, 26 people. fell, walked through puddles, drove down the ice on the "fifth point". The walk was extremely difficult and dangerous. Some children, after such a "Christmas tour" and "seeing off", caught a cold and got sick.
8). According to the program, on the night of Christmas, there was an agreement with Mr. Ostafichuk V. T. to invite carolers for a group to show the children from the Crimea how real carols happen, how interesting it is, what ancient customs underlie this rite, etc. . And the group naturally asked him about it. To which the answer was that this is a business, that we do not have enough money to pay for the services of carolers. Although the group was ready to collect and pay some amount. As a result, we did not see these wonderful customs and rituals, for which we actually went to this region of Ukraine.
Mr. Ostafiychuk V. T. has no idea about hospitality, his professionalism as a director, decency and honesty are highly questionable. His attitude towards tourists undermines the tourist image of the village of Kosmach, the entire Kosovsky district of the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
