Fairy town!
Zhytomyr-Kamenets-Podilsky-Chernivtsi-Khotin-Starokonstantinov
The journey began with a cup of coffee at 6 am, then set off. From Zhytomyr to Kamenets is about 280 km. we went by car with my husband, the road flew by unnoticed, we were pleased with the condition of the roads, they expected worse. At about 11 o'clock we arrived in Kamenetz-Podolsky, settled in the hotel - "7 days", the hotel pleased, especially with food, cleanliness and staff, for which special thanks : )
On the first day, after a little rest from the road, we were taken to the feast of Ivan Kupala in a neighboring village, it was interesting, although after a night in Lubart's Castle, the holiday seemed unpretentious.
The next day we went on a city tour. The city is saturated with interesting stories, the architecture, roads, canyon, bridges, parks and, finally, the fortress for which we came here are breathtaking. The fortress is so beautiful the location of it is so good that the view simply could not be more beautiful, the history just comes to life when you walk along the bridge to the fortress! True, we did not manage to go inside, but we were not particularly upset - there will be a reason to come again!
On the morning of the 3rd day, we went to Chernivtsi (90 km. ), The city is small, but its historical center amazes with its well-groomed and beautiful architecture, walking along Kobylyanska Street, it seems you get into the past. The building of the university is of particular delight, it resembles Austrian castles, it is very beautiful! We visited relatives in Chernivtsi, which also added positive emotions. In the evening we arrived at the hotel, went to a restaurant and went for a walk around the evening city. In the dark, it is especially beautiful: burning lanterns, illuminated buildings, flowers everywhere, stone paths, and most importantly - total calm, you can’t see or hear people at all, as if everyone is afraid to disturb the peace of the city and others...
The 4th day of the trip is the final one, we went to the Khotyn Fortress, its majesty is amazing, despite the wars and age, it looks very good, dungeons, a gallery, a terrible room with things for torture are open! in the center is a well from which you can draw water. The tour guide told everything he knew))
After sleeping, we went home. On the way we stopped at Starokonstantinov - the Castle of Prince Ostrozhsky, it is closed and is gradually being destroyed, but still, most of it has survived - it looks impressive.
We arrived home at 22:30. Having reviewed the photos several times, we intend to continue traveling through the castles of Ukraine, then the world!
