Stayed at the hotel on my way to Europe (1 night) and back (2 nights).
I booked a room by phone - everything is fast, correct, without prepayment. They asked to confirm the reservation 3-4 days before arrival. I wanted to book a "standard" room, but it was available only for the period when we were returning, so on the way there we took an apartment for 450 UAH, and back - a standard for 330 UAH. The hotel is small, there are few staff, which is probably why each client is treated with great attention. We were warned that we would check in after 22:00 - no problem. Met on the doorstep, helped to carry things to the room on the 3rd floor : )
The hotel is located one kilometer from the railway station and 600 meters from the tram / minibus stop. To the center - 15 minutes by tram. There are rather sad Soviet buildings around (directly opposite is the Electron plant, apparently, that is why the TVs in the rooms are of this particular brand : ), but the hotel building itself is at least 100 years old, recently renovated, beautiful, in the evening the facade is illuminated.

Everything that is written on the site is true. Both categories of rooms have the same set of hygiene items, 3 types of towels, disposable slippers. Plumbing is new, clean, everything works. The apartments differ from the standard in a larger area and the presence of a kitchenette with a microwave, kettle, mini-bar and a set of dishes. Prices in the minibar are more than acceptable, so the idea of running to the nearest shop for some water was ruled out as stupid : )
Breakfast is served in the patio, which is covered with a glass roof - a very pleasant environment. Breakfast includes a standard set (2 hot toasts, butter, jam, a few slices of cheese, yogurt, uzvar / juice and tea / coffee) and one of the dishes to choose from (scrambled eggs, pancakes, fruit plate, oatmeal, etc. ) . The amount of food is enough even for such a large person like me : )
On the way back we dined at the hotel bar - 120 UAH with cognac for two. From 12:00 to 15:00 you can take a set lunch (35 UAH), which we did on the day of departure - home cooking without any frills, but everything is very tasty.
The only remark is that Wi-Fi is not available everywhere in the rooms, but it’s true, I just found something to complain about : )
In conclusion, I will say that during the trip we stayed in 4 more hotels in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Poland - the Irena Hotel seemed to us the best. Thanks guys!
