We rested in the Borisfen sanatorium in August 2017.
First about the benefits:
1. Large ennobled, landscaped, clean territory, many shops both from the land side and from the sea side. Lots of roses, beautiful firs, majestic deciduous trees. There are barbecues.
2. Basically, the staff is adequate, responsive, humane. Many thanks to Katerina Ivanovna, Olga Nikolaevna and several other workers with whom I got to know.
3. A beautiful view of the sea /if the windows face the sea/.
4. Round-the-clock availability of hot water in the room.
5. The presence of air conditioners in most rooms / not in every room /.
Disadvantages:

1. In general, the atmosphere of the USSR reigns: some workers are rude, rude, raise their voices at vacationers. Konstantinovna was especially noted for her screams, her eternally dissatisfied face. A very unpleasant person. It seemed that she had brought those towels, bedspreads, bedding from her own home. To change the towel - a cry - they did not bring a set; change the bed - again the same problem; it is not allowed to give a blanket, because you already have one in your room / while three people live in the room /. In general, with such an attitude towards people, we are still far from European service.
2. The food, although it is positioned as a Swedish line, is again of the Soviet type. Monotonous. Lean. Tasteless. For breakfast, “milk” porridge / water-milk / or boiled porridge to choose from is standard - corn, wheat, barley, oatmeal with a side dish. Garnished with a mostly tasteless "meat" patty and veggies, veggies, veggies. . . lots of veggies. Shredded cabbage - hard as wood shavings; olivier, vinaigrette - tasteless and in pieces like pigs; cucumbers in pieces, tomatoes in slices; eggplant, zucchini - dry tasteless. In general, pigs in good owners are better fed than in the dining room of Borysthenes. And such vegetable dishes three times a day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For lunch, a choice of Ukrainian borscht with traces of sour cream, green borscht or pea soup or vermicelli. The taste of the first one depended on the mood of the cooks. For the second, as well as for breakfast, a “meat” or “fish” cutlet, or sausage / if you have time to take it, people sorted it out /, and standard cereals / corn, wheat, barley, oatmeal / or watery mashed potatoes with “pork” garnish. During the month of our vacation, there was never a buckwheat soup or boiled buckwheat. There was buckwheat, but only for diabetics, and for other people, according to the logic of the staff, at least once a week / for decency / buckwheat is NOT ALLOWED. I understand, of course, that this is the most expensive cereal, but the payment for the rest is not low / ticket 18 thousand / person /. For dinner, potatoes are stewed or boiled in chunks, standard cereals, and a cutlet. Plus, in the evening they gave kefir with a bun. This is perhaps the most delicious thing that was for dinner. The bun is almost always freshly baked, the kefir is fresh. Once a month they gave herring in limited quantities. I don’t know who gave fresh homemade milk to the previous reviewer Irina, but there was no milk. Well, let's talk about nutrition in a nutshell.
6. As the author Anatoly wrote, the ramp on the first floor of the dormitory building is really very steep. I was an eyewitness of how a man in a wheelchair, of a fairly strong physique, with acceleration, barely left on that ramp.
7. Treatment: unfortunately, after I got a bath, where the water was a third and even cold, I did not dare to go for any other procedures except for darsonval, inhalations and cocktails.

8. There is a really steep descent to the sea with steps. The length is 50 meters. The sea is inaccessible to wheelchair users.
9. There is no entertainment program, except for a daily disco with hackneyed music. There have never been any film screenings / as they say on the website of the sanatorium for a month /. Sometimes they offer excursions at their own expense to Odessa, Olbia and Ochakov / the only free one /.
10. By the way, who will live in rooms that overlook the courtyard / we had one / will listen to music until 23.00 daily.
11. About the room: the room has three single beds / we had a 3-month-old / with mattresses 15 years old; three bedside tables; a tiny refrigerator, without a freezer, in which everything spoiled because it did not cool well; two chairs; table; closet, air conditioning, TV / small, poorly shown, there were up to 10 channels, and not satellite TV as they say on the site / The bathroom has outdated plumbing: a primitive toilet and a cramped shower / not a shower-cabin as on the site /. The site also shows an electric kettle in the room, in reality there was no cup in the room. There were also washed, synthetic towels. The bedding was cotton, clean, whole. It is really dangerous for a child on the balcony, as Ekaterina wrote in the previous review, in addition, cement fell on the floor on the balcony and we carried pieces of it behind our feet into the room.
12. The rooms were not cleaned every day. On average, every other day, sometimes two, so we had to wash the floor ourselves / we had a small child with us who wiped the floor with his hands and clothes /.
13. One of the sleeping buildings majestically houses the mobile operator's tower, which, as you understand, does not add health to vacationers.
14. There is a playground for children on the territory, but it is very primitive and, unfortunately, without a sandbox.
15. The sea is slightly salty.
In general, the rest in Ochakovo in the Borisfen sanatorium did not particularly please us.

P. s. Dear administration, you have great potential, but so far you are not without flaws. Work on your development and people will be drawn to you, but for now you survive at the expense of beneficiaries, whom the state sends to you for recovery. Recommendations: have conversations with some employees about business etiquette, take measures to improve nutrition, install a pisette in the playground (trust me, it will not be superfluous there), improve the conditions in the rooms, expand the entertainment program. Good luck.
