Unfortunately, yesterday (07/24/2019) I encountered a very unpleasant situation. I booked the hostel for 1 night 1.5 months ago, went to meet them and, at their request, made an advance payment to the “monobank” card (I think the tax authorities should pay attention to the Berloga Hostel). Yesterday an unforeseen situation happened and my trip was cancelled. I wrote a letter to the hostel administrator, where I indicated the reason for the cancellation of the reservation and with a request to return my advance payment to me (the reservation was canceled 23 days before the intended trip). Unfortunately, the hostel administration refused to refund the full or partial amount I paid, explaining that they have "their own rules" according to which they do not return any money. The hostel, by its actions, completely violated my rights and a number of laws of Ukraine, in particular, "On the protection of consumer rights. " I was also refused to speak with the hostel management. The conversation was generally not pleasant, and the boorish attitude towards the client simply shocked me.
I will have to file complaints with the appropriate authorities so that such “businessmen” no longer deceive people and respect customers and work according to the Laws of Ukraine.
