I "rested" with my family (with children) in the sanatorium "Odesskiy". We arrived in Odessa by train No. 235. The air conditioner was turned on only in the second half of the night, the car was dirty, the conductor did not clean it, when boarding, the luggage space was occupied by the conductor with a large number of magazines for motorists, they were obviously transported for the purpose of sale. Upon arrival in Odessa, they tried to get to the sanatorium by public transport. Unsuccessfully. Nowhere is there any information about the departure of this or that transport. They didn’t wait for minibus No. 215 (by the way, it passes by the railway station already crowded, the cabin is such that with luggage you shouldn’t even try to get in if the minibus was empty. But, it turns out you can get there without problems, by tram number 18 (the final stop of the railway station), but you still have to walk to the stop and not so far, but finding it without knowing it is not so easy.
And the price of a ticket on a tram is ridiculous, only 50 kopecks, on a minibus - 2 hryvnias. I had to take a taxi, they took 20 hryvnia per person. We were allocated two double standard rooms: No. 919 and 917 (9th floor) - ironically, next to the office of the hostess. When we looked at the numbers, I immediately went to make a complaint to the reception. There I was sent to the hostess, who asked where we bought tickets and when she found out from us that we were in Kandahar-tour, she answered: if you are not satisfied, make claims to Kandahar-tour. That they say the price per person per day of 140 hryvnia corresponds to this, but the fact that you paid almost 1300 rubles per person per day to Kandahar, then these are your difficulties (the rate is 1 hryvnia to 5 rubles 55 kopecks).
For 12 days, bed linen was not changed, including foot towels (and when using them during mud treatment procedures, it is not difficult to imagine how they will look after 1-2 procedures), one cleaning was carried out in room No. 919, in general in room No. 917 none. Cleaning is done by young guys (possibly alternatives). There is dirt in the rooms, layers of dust everywhere, everything creaks, furniture falls apart, parquet tiles that have fallen off are nailed, door handles fall off, toilet seats are broken and fall off, cockroaches run at night, whitewash from the ceiling flies onto the bed, fire alarm sensors are broken, dangling, cobwebs hanging everywhere, etc. Judge the "decoration" of the rooms by some of the photos that I post. As they say without comment ...When we were at the doctor, they told her about it, she promised to talk to the admissions department so that we would change the numbers, but ...alas.

I had to buy floor cloths, detergents and do the cleaning ourselves in these unfortunate rooms. The key to room 917 opened room 919 without any problems. I don't know about other numbers. Water is supplied according to the schedule, but this was almost no inconvenience experienced. The main building needs renovation. The room has a small TV and a fridge - quite normal. There were big problems with the elevator. During meals, getting by elevator from the 9th floor to the first is not so easy, in most cases you had to walk. Meals in the dining room are not 5 meals a day, as it was noted in the ticket (voucher), but 3 meals a day. The food is monotonous . . Creativity in cooking from the same products, no. First courses are usually empty. For example, borscht. It doesn't smell like meat broth, not to mention the broth itself. Beets, cabbage, water and even sour cream are not seasoned.
The food was served cold, without any choice (because by the time it was our turn, there was nothing to choose from). The children were hungry for the first two days after the "meal". When I told the head nurse about such a situation, she replied that this could not be, since the food in our sanatorium is the best among Odessa sanatoriums. The reaction followed immediately. We came for lunch, after which we left for an excursion, and our table was not set at all. Then they moved us to another table, closer to the kitchen, and began to pay at least some attention. There are no safes, as tour operators advertise. The sanatorium is designed for more than 400 people, and parking for 10 (see photo), and all this is included in the price of the tour. Treatment from what is prescribed is mainly carried out, but the list of services does not correspond to the advertising of tour operators.
For example, I needed to donate blood for analysis - I passed it (I didn’t wait for the results) to do an ECG, go to a number of other examinations - they didn’t. Many procedures were scheduled for the same time, so you had to choose for yourself what is more important to you. Aromatherapy was prescribed for everyone depending on the disease, and the procedure was carried out for everyone without exception together and for everyone the same, regardless of whether it is harmful to you or not. The head of the club, as he called himself "Uncle Sasha", worked flawlessly with his team, as they say day and night. The beach is close and normal. If you want to pay - go to the equipped places, if you don't want to - go a few meters ahead and relax and enjoy the sea to your heart's content.
For water and food, it is best to go to stop 16 of the Big Fountain station, and change the currency there, but not at the bank branch (I changed it there once, they took 32 hryvnias from 1000 rubles, they gave me an official document about this banking operation and I 1 hryvnia cost 6 rubles 66 kopecks).

Conclusion: what else can you expect from the former elite military sanatorium of the Air Force of the Ministry of Defense of the USSR, which, after the collapse of the Union, became useless to anyone, was first prepared for sale, and then was transferred to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Ukraine, which began to revive it, but how much time will it take in the absence of normal funding, God alone knows. Of course, in order to enjoy the delights of the city center of Odessa (or as Odessans call it a city), you need to take vouchers to sanatoriums that are located as close as possible to the city center.
