Our modest voyage to Odessa
Our trip around Ukraine in a classic-good car. . .
We learned about such an event as Super cars run in advance, contacted the organizers, talked, but until the last day we didn’t know for sure whether we were going or not... And then on May 12 we received an invitation. All day in a terribly fussy preparation of the car (as far as it was possible), and on the same day at 23.00 we leave for Kyiv. Looking ahead, I’ll say that our roads are only for the most dexterous, courageous and attentive… The whole Dnipropetrovsk region is not driving on the road and not on asphalt, it’s some kind of relief of the unknown planet “blayama”…
The real hell of the motorist ended at the exit to the new Kiev highway, smooth, even asphalt, 200-260... no problem. We drive into Kyiv - traffic jams, hassle. We wanted to drink coffee with friends, but in the end we understand that we barely have time to start. Already 8.40 start, to Odessa at 9.00... How miraculously I managed to get through traffic jams and make it in time, I still don’t understand.
Odessa greeted us with rain… We checked into the Cherrnoye More hotel on Rishelyevskaya, in a room kindly provided by the organizers. I think I fell asleep before my head touched the pillow. After resting for a couple of hours, we went out for an evening dinner, a briefing from the organizers of the event... It turned out that my car does not fall into the competition classes of either drag or time attacks. We agreed that I would just go for my own pleasure and out of the standings. Ok.
Having gathered at the monument to Duke in the morning, a beautiful column of interesting cars set off across the city to race... An excellent track for drag and time attacks, it was fun to put a 2.5-ton cruiser into this ring, but my car pleasantly surprised me, of course, Porsches or knee-highs are ideal for such a track, but the boar and I also had a great time... This trip left a very pleasant aftertaste, for the sake of such moments we essentially live... We ride, communicate, new places, people, emotions... Since the moment I returned from this trip, terrible events have occurred in my life, because of which she no longer will be the same, and yet we do not give up and will try to do what we love. Live, love, go your way to the end...
