Skhodnitsa-2009
Oddly enough, for the first time I heard the name of this village and for some reason not very flattering reviews about it last year. Looking through the Internet, I realized without any doubt that I was going there in the summer. How right I was!
It is not entirely clear why Skhidnytsia is considered an urban-type settlement, if in the very center of it a real town hall rises on a hill, where, apparently, the local authorities dug in. The latter, judging by the condition of the roads and bus stops, has completely removed itself from the improvement of Skhidnytsia. Therefore, coming here in your car is a risky business.
Skhodnitsa is only famous for its mineral waters, as a balneological resort, which rightly received the name of the discoverer of fertile springs Omelyan Stotsky. And it is rich in its dark forests and the cleanest air, Swiss landscapes and... oil, which is not in Ukraine, just as there was no sex in the Soviet Union. The village and its surroundings are simply studded with oil rigs. And if some of them are “on a siding”, then there is one that pumps 25 tons of oil daily. And it's been more than a decade! What is most interesting is that gasoline at Skhidnytsia gas stations is, as it were, not the most expensive in Ukraine.
But back to the good times. It’s easy to get to Skhidnitsa from Truskavets by minibus - 30 minutes (along mountain potholes), and you are there. It will also not be difficult to get settled here taking into account your budget: from the Pereval farm boarding house at the very entrance to Skhidnytsia to deluxe rooms in the Three Sons, Di-Anna, Bogdanovka boarding houses and many others. In my opinion, the last one is the best of all: springs No. 1C and No. 13 are nearby, all the rest are within a 10-minute walk.
Sad fact: judging by the stories of local residents, the activity of some sources has fallen sharply in recent years. The fact is that there is an intensive and chaotic development of the picturesque slopes of the Skhodnitskaya Valley with new boarding houses. As a rule, these are high-rise buildings, the foundations of which go deep into the ground by 3 or even 4 floors, which leads to the blocking of groundwater flows. So be prepared for the fact that you have to stand in line (to some sources up to three to four hours) to drink healing water. Don't forget to take dry alcohol and a metal mug (you can buy it at the local market) with you. Water needs to be warmed up before drinking. Local enthusiasts not only pave the footpaths to the springs with tiles, install benches for rest on them, but also arrange a kind of "barbecue" so that you can heat and drink water on the spot. And this is the best option, because. after 2 - 3 hours, any water (except soda and glycerin) loses its healing properties. Few people who come here for the first time know about it, and also that this water destroys tooth enamel. Therefore, it is advisable to stock up on cocktail pipes as well.
Umbrellas here do not hold water: it does not rain here, it does not pour, it falls like a sheer wall! And not 15 - 20 minutes, as it happens in Truskavets. So, for those 12 days that we spent in Skhidnitsa, a powerful downpour with thunderstorms simply did not let us out of the house for three days.
The same downpour deprived us of the opportunity to visit the most beautiful area called Carpathian Switzerland. But we managed to visit the Tustan fortress (from "Stand here! Pay the tax! "). Having climbed the 70-meter top of the stone - the foundation of the wooden fortress - we got again - still under the rain, but this did not prevent us from admiring the beauties surrounding us. The play of light - now the sun, then rain, then fog only added originality and pleasure. By the way, keep in mind - at the foot of Tustan there is a source of silver-containing WATER. It is with a capital letter! If you go, take more dishes with you.
For lovers of a sedentary lifestyle, I would recommend hiking to the source No. 3 deep into the twilight forest. By the way, smereka and spruce are, as they say in Odessa, two big differences. In the forest, you will have the beauty of the surrounding nature, and the purest, heady air, and squirrels under your feet - do not step! The forest is very serious, a little to the side - got lost, went the wrong way - went to the swamp. So don't get carried away.
And what glades, meadows all around! Here you have the colors of the Ukrainian flag, and the reflection of the Milky Way, and what else your creative imagination will allow you to think.
Skhodnitsa is crossed in several directions by mountain streams flowing into the Skhodnichanka River. And she is already straight to Stry.
Whoever travels to the Carpathians for the first time and immediately to Skhidnytsia will be able, if desired, to hit the road to Truskavets. The town is small, cozy, clean, beautiful, with a magnificent park, in the center of which there is a huge pump room, the center of vacationers. Here, visiting celebrities are constantly chirping, entertaining the public, inviting them to their concerts.
When you return to Skhidnytsia, don't forget to try the local confectionery. Most likely, they were brought from Boreslav. Think back to your childhood. The local people are simpler, more conscientious - the dough is made strictly according to the recipe. This is not Kyiv or Dnepropetrovsk, where everything that can be stolen is stolen from bread.
Local milk is a special article. Ivory in color, it tastes better than the former Soviet cream for 51 kopecks. for 0.5 liters. Accordingly, dairy products are also tasty.
For lovers of souvenirs, there is a special expanse here: from sheep's wool, from wood, stone, clay - what the soul desires.
And behind it all are the locals. They are happy for your arrival, will provide maximum attention, hospitality and care, delicious food and will be happy to wait for your next visit. And do not hesitate: you will definitely come back here!
