The hotel is located on the top of a mountain, far from populated areas, this is a great place for lovers of secluded relaxation. At the same time, despite the remoteness from civilization, vacationers are provided with all the amenities: cozy rooms with shower, toilet, TV, if necessary, good heating. In addition, in the common room on the ground floor, you can use a computer with the Internet, or arrange a karaoke party. From the windows of the rooms there is an excellent view of the Pokutsko-Bukovina mountains, especially at sunset. The rooms and the entire hotel are decorated in the national style, and the perfect cleanliness and tidiness of all the rooms in general makes you doubt that you are in the CIS, and not abroad. I don’t want to offend anyone, but having traveled to various mountain hotels in Ukraine and Russia, I got used to not expecting such comfort or accuracy even for a rather big price. The Ark is very different for the better from what I saw in the Caucasus and the South Urals. The food in the Ark is homemade, and the portions are truly Ukrainian - very generous, a real thunderstorm for fans of any diet. The hotel does not sell alcoholic drinks, with the exception of Cherkasy moonshine, made by the owner's father - given only for tasting, limited doses. A good drink, for those, of course, who understand a lot about such drinks.
The building of the hotel and other buildings of the complex is unique, it is an individual project, you will probably not find others like it anywhere in the world. The hotel itself is carefully thought out from an engineering point of view, in terms of wind and snow resistance, and resembles an inverted ship (Noah's Ark). Other buildings are decorated in the form of bottles - they seemed to be thrown to the top of Mount Megura along with the ark. The resemblance to the biblical haven of all living creatures is complemented by cats, huskies, horses and roe deer, which are looked after by the owners. Water is supplied from the source of the Siret River, located on the mountain, electricity is produced by windmills, a solar battery, and a diesel generator.
Of the entertainment, first of all, one can name walks in the surrounding mountains, on foot and on low Hutsul horses - calm, very suitable for inexperienced riders; hunting (a variety of animals are found there - deer, wild boars, wolves, bears) and picking mushrooms. You can walk to the very border with Romania, it looks quite funny, history buffs can explore the trenches of the First World War, left over from Brusilov and the Austro-Hungarians who opposed him. In summer, a roll-out swimming pool is open next to the hotel. You can organize a jeep safari in the area. In general, for lovers of wild mountains who have been to Russia, the Carpathians will seem like a fairly settled place - from the top of the mountain on which the hotel stands, clearings or villages are visible everywhere. However, just being in the Ark, you can admire the night sky, sunsets, the play of colors during a thunderstorm in a way that is far from always possible to admire, say, in the Caucasus or Altai. After all, you spend the night there most often in valleys and gorges, but here you live with all the amenities on top of a mountain, and you can observe the entire sky. Every evening, vacationers can see the sky in a way that few others see. This is probably a great place for astronomy lovers, especially since the hotel has a telescope.

In general, summing up, I will say that the Ark is a very comfortable and unique hotel in terms of location. I believe that there is simply nothing like it in the CIS. In Russia, in such places you can find only camp sites that provide much less amenities. I have only seen something similar on the Internet abroad, but these are very expensive boutique hotels, the price of which is not comparable to the price of the Ark. So I recommend it to everyone who likes to relax in solitude, with comfort, and in unusual places.
