So, "rest" in "Veronica"....I must say right away that we left there 5 days earlier than planned. We were reimbursed for the rest of the days. Let me tell you about the good first.
We chose the recreation center very carefully, the choice was between "Ruta", "Ros", "Veronica" and "Anna-Maria" (my husband insisted on the latter, but I opted for "Veronica", being led by children's animation). Taking into account early booking and 5% discount for prepayment in full, we paid for the room of the most expensive category "Sea Panorama", 2nd floor, a little more than 29 thousand hryvnia (for 19 nights), for a family of two adults and two children aged 6 and 2 .
The first impression was positive: fresh air after a long trip from Kyiv, beautiful territory, well-groomed flower beds with magnificent roses, the houses look very cozy. We were settled immediately upon arrival - it was at 13.30 - and sent for lunch. The room was new furniture, made cosmetic repairs. The sofa for the eldest daughter was in a niche (like a small room with a doorway, but without a door - the width of the room is just equal to the width of the sofa). In the same niche opposite the sofa, we stuck the baby's crib, because we put it next to the adult bed right under the air conditioner. The passage between the sleeping places of the children turned out to be 40 centimeters - it was a kind of "nursery": the children did not interfere with the TV if we watched it in the evening, and the air conditioner did not blow on them. The adult bed is kind of weird. Firstly, the wooden sides protruding beyond the mattress, on which in the early days my daughter and I filled bruises on our legs. Secondly, the mattress itself, which sways in all directions, if someone spins on the opposite side or simply falls on the bed. As if it is filled with water - and it shakes you, shakes you on it. The downright misunderstanding in the room was the shower. Not a single shelf in the shower where you can put shampoo gels: all this was in a crowd below on the shower tray and all the bottles fell to your feet every time. Adjust the water in the shower - something unreal, instead of a normal ball valve - there are two taps: hot and cold. Here you have adjusted them, like normal water. And then someone in the cottage flushes the toilet or decides to take a shower too. Boiling water is immediately poured on you - or ice water - as you're lucky. Every time you wash the children with such water jokes - it was a whole adventure, you will definitely scald the child, and then pour it over with an icy ode. And turn, turn these taps to the point of stupefaction. Why can't you put a normal ball valve that can be adjusted in one motion? For two weeks, the room was cleaned 2 times - bed linen and towels were changed, the floors and plumbing were washed. Downstairs, the people themselves take brooms-scoops from the maid - and clean the rooms. The maid will not look into your room to check if it needs cleaning. For some reason, the maid has one rag, with which she washes the floors in the entire cottage - and stairs, and bathrooms, and balconies, and rooms - all with one tattered rag. It is obviously a great luxury to buy mops with a rubber sponge with a wringer for girls.

The view from the room - the sea, the sea, the beautiful sea! The sea there is something special. The beach is sandy, the sand is white, full of shells! Expanse for children - they dug, dug, built, collected shells there. The sea is shallow, with a gradual increase in depth. It’s a pity that in two weeks the sea was warm only for a week, besides, most of it was so full of green algae - the first three or four meters in the sea - like green borscht around you, closer to the buoys the water was clear. You walk along this borscht made of algae - and shrimps jump around you, crabs run along the bottom, fish....You could catch them with your bare hands. In the second week, a strong wind blew away warm water - the sea became +11!! ! It is very good that there is a playground on the beach - the children enjoyed spending time there.
When the sea became cold, the pool helped a lot. In the children's pool, heating was generally turned on - the water there was very warm, however, by lunchtime it was muddy. Children dived in the pool - then both were treated for diarrhea.
Animation. In the morning, my daughter went to exercise and at 11 am - to children's water aerobics. Children's discos were far from every day, a couple of times a week they played the game "Bingo". There was no such thing as letting the child go to the mini-club for the whole day and it was interesting and fun for him there. I was especially upset by the mini-club, when two days after our arrival it was pouring downpours - there was nowhere to go at the base in such weather, everyone dragged with the kids to the mini-club. The animators did not pay attention to the children - they poked around in the toy box, had fun throwing skittles and twirling hula hoops. To acquaint the children, to introduce them to each other, to organize some kind of general entertainment for everyone, in order to somehow brighten up the mood in such vile weather - alas, there was none of this. Entertaining children is the concern of parents. It will be interesting at this base for schoolchildren and teenagers who will find a company for table and outdoor games, table tennis and badminton.
Meals...... This is just a depressing point...... Vacationers from "Sea Panoramas" eat not in a common dining room, but in the Zodiac bar. They complained about the food repeatedly, each time in the dining room someone expressed their displeasure to the waitresses. Appeals to the reception did not lead to anything, a personal conversation with the director of the base changed the situation for several days. Yes, they began to put a normal piece of butter (and not the size of a backgammon cube) for sandwiches. Yes, the piece of cheese has doubled in size. That's where the improvements ended. They don't know how to cook in "Veronika" and they don't want to, it seems that they are doing their job "just to get off" - everything is without a soul, everything is somehow unfinished. An omelet is a flour with the addition of eggs - it is hard and dry. Pancakes are two rubber pancakes that cannot be cut with a knife, poured over with a gray-brown something instead of jam. Cottage cheese casserole and pita bread with chicken were clearly different compared to these breakfasts. Porridges....Milk porridges are boiled in milk powder, they have the appropriate aftertaste! In addition to semolina and oatmeal - you should not order anything. Rice milk porridge is a whitish yushka, at the bottom of which rice grains float alone. Such a thick, creamy porridge, like in kindergarten - they don’t know how to cook there. First courses. . . Vegetables in vegetable soups are often half-cooked and hard. Everything is not chopped - but chopped into large pieces, because of this, the potatoes are also always hard, they do not boil well. Huge pieces of onions float in these soups, sorrel sheets in green borscht... All this causes some bewilderment: is it really impossible to spend 10 minutes more - and carefully chop all the ingredients, boil them a little longer - so that everything becomes soft? On "Veronica" cooks obviously don't bother with such nonsense. Chicken legs in feathers and with blood flowing from them - this is generally beyond! Well, you don’t want to grind them before cooking, you don’t know how to bake them so that they are completely cooked - so don’t put them on the menu !! ! Or better stew in gravy so that they are soft! Even potatoes, young potatoes, which are tastier than anything in the summer - they will ruin that one: part undercooked, part overcooked, water undercooked - there is a puddle right there in the plate. Oh, well, a disgrace, it’s so tasteless to cook from normal products - you need to have a special talent! The most outrageous thing is that half of the vacationers at the base are children, small children who refused to eat such rubbish! Baking in the morning and in the evening is the only thing for which there are no questions. But eating buns is somehow unhealthy.

Shocked by the attitude of the administration in response to a complaint about food. The next lunch in the dining room was just trash: soup with raw vegetables, half-baked rice for a side dish and a salty-over-salted cutlet from some kind of indistinct minced meat. They called the cook and the director so that they could evaluate what they feed people. In response, we were told: “Since you don’t like everything so much, you don’t appreciate the work of the cooks, then we will return the money to you and leave here. ” That is, they are not going to change anything! Your problems and claims are your worries, no one will improve or solve anything on Veronica! What for? All the same, after all, vacationers will come - they will not go anywhere. This just killed it. If I could have imagined such a "service" - I would not have considered the option of resting at the base at all - I would have rented a room in the private sector and fed my children and husband with delicious and fresh products, I would have spent much less money on all this and obviously hundreds times less nerves! Come to rest - and each time freak out because the children have nothing to eat in the canteen - and think about how to feed them in the room....In short, there is nothing to do at this recreation center without a multicooker and an electric kettle.
Finally, I wish the administration of "Veronica" to reconsider their attitude towards vacationers and show more respect for the people who entrusted you with their long-awaited vacation and paid a lot of money for it.
