If you want to spoil your holiday - YOU are here!
My husband and I went on vacation to Zatoku, a resort near the city of the hero of Odessa. We got a lot of impressions, but 97% of them are negative. About everything in order.
For a long time we considered accommodation options, looked at different sites, called people. Everything seemed colorful, without clouds and the same as in Turkey. Pictures are just super, pools, rides, bars, discos. With whom I wrote off, and I didn’t call anyone, everyone unanimously repeated that they had a lot of restaurants, cafes and entertainment centers NEAR the house (hotel), but alas, this is just a FALSE. We stopped at the Karolina-Bugaz station, there were a couple of barbecue houses, and two restaurants, one in the Hudson, the second in the breeze (but did not work).
With accommodation in general kidalovo. They called a woman along Primorskaya Street, 31. Tel. : 0504905491. He says 15 minutes to the sea (900m), we book a 2-bed room with a refrigerator, a TV, but without air conditioning for 160 hryvnias. And when we arrived there from the station to it 30 minutes, and from the station to the sea another 20 and 2 locals are busy. We are offered a 3-seater for two and, moreover, for 240 UAH. And there are no refrigerators in any room, one is shared in the flight of stairs. In short, we refused such joy.
We stopped at the Vremya base, not far from the sea (lane 2), 15 minutes walk and you are on the beach. 110 UAH per person in the rooms with one and a half beds, a refrigerator, a shower, a toilet, a washbasin, a wardrobe, a table with plastic chairs and huge spiders on the balcony. The rooms are not cleaned, but everything is at your disposal for self-cleaning. There are no televisions by definition. To the question why? Answer: "You came to rest! "
Some dibs play table tennis at 8 in the morning and interfere with sleep, by the way, tennis is paid. It was possible to make barbecue, steak, etc. at the base. use the barbecue as much as you like, but then, someone ingenious also came up with, coal and firewood are paid, and the funny thing is that firewood is sold by the kilogram (1kg is a bunch of three firewood wrapped with tape).
We went to Limanskaya, everyone says there is the most entertaining place for young people. Yes, there are many souvenir shops, but I won’t go around them every day. And from bars, coffee and restiks, we only found decent 3 pieces. In short, there is no place to spend money there, only for housing. And they are all building bases, but not mass cultural institutions.
Stores are a completely different story. So only one decent store on the hill (it contains groceries, manufactured goods, and a pharmacy). And so we go to the store, the heat outside is 35-40 degrees, and there are two fans in it that blow hot air. On top of the counter is fresh meat, sausage, cottage cheese - flies are flying around, but cosmetics (lotions, creams, lipstick... ) are in the refrigerator.
There are tents on the road and sell fruits (watermelons 2-2.5 UAH; peaches, nectarines 12 UAH; melons -8; grapes from 5 to 20).
Cars drive right onto the beach and stand a meter from the water. And since the only sea was clean, the beach is also clean and sandy. There are many fish in the water, and seagulls on the shore. True, on the beach, as elsewhere in the Odessa region, there is a big problem with garbage cans, so people decide for themselves where the garbage dump should be.
In short, if we had not paid in advance for 7 days, we would have moved out earlier.
Then for another week we went to Odessa itself. They also knocked over the hut here, agreed the day before with a woman at the station about an apartment in the center, but when they arrived with a suitcase, she had already handed it over to someone. In short, I had to live on the Bolshaya Fontanka and dangle to the center every day. Excursions for a couple of hours in Odessa cost 60 UAH, and if for a day or more, then from 275 per person and it only includes bus travel and the stories of the bus guide, and all hotels for overnight stays, food, entrance tickets to museums for an additional fee.
So Odessa is very beautiful, but soon it will all fall apart if it is not reconstructed, and no one will do this.
Everyone goes there, as they want and where they want. Without turn signals, on red and they can still signal you that you are going to your green.
And the local cops are generally trash. Solid bribe-takers, if they see that you have changed a round sum of money, they will find a reason for you to have less of them.
In short, summing up, I will never and never again go to Ukraine to rest and I do not advise YOU. Just ruin your holiday. For this money, it is better to relax in Turkey, Egypt or Bulgaria, I now know for sure.
Thank you for being able to read my story to the end.
