We went to Zhelezny Port (hereinafter ZhP from 14 to 21 (at least that was the plan)) without any illusions, we wanted to save money, swim in the sea and at the same time evaluate the prospects for Ukrainian service. to part 2 and skip unnecessary subjective opinion about ZhP.
Part 1. ZhP
There are many associations regarding ZhP, but all of them are with swear words. The locals felt that it had finally come to a halt, that here it was happiness, Crimea is not ours, which means that all the patriots, "not very wealthy, as well as those who are hiding from mobilization and do not dare to cross the border, will come to them, to the new Ukrainian mecca rest and entertainment. Therefore, they (locals) squeeze out of the situation to the fullest. As a result, food prices in shops and markets are higher than in Kiev. Peaches and watermelons are more expensive than in Kiev's Silpo. Karl, Kherson peaches and watermelons in Kherson are more expensive than Kherson peaches and watermelons in Kyiv! The resting public is PPC. In order not to offend anyone, I will say that in most ZhP this is a cattle den (if you don’t consider yourself a cattle, you can mentally consider yourself a minority). Further, all that a cattle needs is beer, a sea of beer at the sea (sorry for taftology). And yet beer flows from all holes there, and the toilets are paid and the sea is nearby... He gave a hint, draw your own conclusions. Another very important nuance if you thought that merchants in Turkey or Egypt meddlesome, you weren't in the JP. On the beach, as the saying It turns out that the apple has nowhere to fall, but the merchants still find their way. The most delicious and fresh baklava with and without nuts, juicy royal Black Sea shrimp, french fries and tubes with the best condensed milk, seeds and peanuts, samsa and churchkhela, mojito with real Mexican vodka (I don’t know why with Mexican vodka, and not with rum, but that's how it was advertised) and much more, with loud annoying voices from all sides. I was unpleasantly surprised by the existence of such intrusive marketing. This is briefly about ZHP. Oh yes, the beaches are just overwhelmed, especially in the morning. Attaching photo.

Part 2. Scarlet Sail.
Now about boarding house Scarlet Sail. He is good. The territory is small, but cozy, thoughtful and well-groomed. Everywhere is green, there is a barbecue with common access, wooden gazebos, a beautiful clean pool and good rooms (by the standards of Ukraine, not 4 foreign stars). But, "spoiler" alas, we did not get a good room. Now in order. We went there on the recommendation, there were parents, twice, and they really liked it. Booked a room 2 months in advance. Everything is great. But when we arrived, we were placed in one of the last 2-bed rooms. The room was on the 4th floor. Tiny but cozy and with a small balcony. But something was missing. As it turned out later, the washbasin. You think what a trifle. And we thought so too, at first. But, as it turned out, such philistine things that we are used to and do not even notice are very significant. The bathroom was very small and contained only a toilet and a shower with a curtain, which they did not even bother to cut to length, so it constantly smacked underfoot while taking a shower. And when it was necessary to brush your teeth or wash your hands, then at the same time your legs were rinsed, as the spray flew in all directions, including on the toilet, which we never used to the full, because, if we close the doors in bathroom, then a person already sitting on the toilet does not fit. We thought that we would get used to it, but by the evening there was two fingers of water on the bathroom floor, which discouraged any desire to go there. So we decided to talk to the hostess in the morning, and so we did. Now about the owners of the boarding house. This is a married couple of retirement age, who, it seems, moved from western Ukraine (I'm not sure, I can be wrong). He is in charge of the territory and its beautification, she is in charge of organizational issues. At first glance, they did not seem friendly to me, although they smiled (albeit arrogantly). There was an impression that the boarding house is their main pride, and visitors in order to admire their institution. Considering that the parents were in the Scarlet Parus twice, we thought that this would help us resolve the issue with the room, or, in extreme cases, get a discount on the room, and not pay for it, like for any other full-fledged room (it is unlikely that we wanted to stay in this room, even with a discount, but customer loyalty would be nice and would help with finding a compromise). But alas, the hostess unapologetically said that there were no rooms and did not even try to compromise. Immediately stated that she would give us the money for the remaining paid accommodation. Although we were not determined to leave, we accepted her offer on principle. Again, my subjective opinion, but this is not the way to treat customers. They build a reputation. And, be that as it may, but boarding houses should exist for clients, and not vice versa (again, probably, everything is from the fact that the locals felt that they were flooded and the number of tourists exceeded the housing offer).
The fact is that we took the money, moved out and returned to Kyiv on the same day, after 24 hours of an unforgettable vacation.
P. S. A few words about food at the boarding house Scarlet Parus. All 2-bed rooms cost 700 UAH. with 3 meals a day. There is no option to refuse food. And it is not surprising, because this is how the owners got the opportunity to earn the bulk of their income from savings on products. Portions are very meager. They only help not to starve to death. For breakfast - fatty broth with pieces of chicken skin and a la sandwich with lumpy butter and one piece of sausage, ONE PIECE!! ! For lunch, fatty soup and fatty buckwheat soaked in sunflower oil, for dinner, an incomprehensible fatty salad with rice and crab sticks, seasoned with cheap mayonnaise. But, in general, if you like fatty foods, you might like it.

In general, they say, you can’t buy experience for money, but we did it, since it’s not very expensive)))
