and a platform in the sea a la Turkey, and an ordinary platform with sunbeds on the shore, and the main favorite beach is pebbles, a clear sea, a convenient entrance for children and stones with fish (a lot). Near the embankment and the entrance to the old park and at the top of the Vorontsov Palace. And all against the backdrop of the teeth of Ai-Petri. Special respect to the restaurant and the chef!! ! Everything is stylish, antique, and the taste of the dishes and the way of serving - I give a Michelin star. The granddaughter still cannot forget the borscht and dessert with waffles.
Cons: Not enough entertainment for kids.

AND DON'T MISTAKEN!!!
We rested from April 29 to May 5.2015 at the Dream by the Sea Hotel (Alupka). We settled in one junior suite and five standard rooms in the Climatopavilion building.
About the hotel: without exaggeration, this is the best hotel located on the first coastline, with a guarded, very clean, well-groomed and beautiful territory, as close as possible to the Vorontsov Palace and the city center. Strangers cannot get into the territory, which is very nice, unlike all other hotels, where there is practically a “gateway”.
The rooms are clean, with good furniture and bathrooms. All rooms correspond to the photos and configurations indicated on the hotel website.
Before the rest and during the rest, we discussed and resolved all questions with the hotel administrator Julia. A wonderful young woman, very honest and decent. Everything that was agreed in advance and all the possible wishes that arose, Julia managed to solve in favor of the vacationers, that is, us, completely without any additional payments (which you rarely see in our life).
We understood that during this period we would not be able to swim and sunbathe and initially set ourselves the goal of visiting as many sights as possible located between Yalta and Sevastopol. Take my word for it, we visited almost everything, hired a minibus for 18 seats (for ridiculous money compared to Moscow) and rode along the entire coast. We do not describe where we were, due to the fact that everyone has their own interests, but personally we were interested in everything. For example, the cost of a taxi (4 people) from Yalta to Alupka (20 km) is 500 rubles. Total.
We ate at different places (depending on where we traveled). There are two places in particular that you should definitely visit. Alupka city center (near the monument to Lenin) - Summer cafe: high quality, tasty, for real money (compared to other cafes in the center). We recommend the ATV supermarket and the market in the morning near the Lenin monument - everything is local, fresh and of high quality. The second place where you definitely need to eat is Mount Ai-petri, there are many cafes, prices are the same everywhere, choose what you like best, taste wines (it's free) and enjoy hospitality. We advise you to go up to Ai-petri by funicular, and go down by private taxis (the price is the same, 250 rubles per person). Going down by car, you will visit a beautiful waterfall and a less pretty, but with a beautiful view, the Silver Gazebo. In Yalta, all cafes and restaurants on the embankment are expensive (Moscow prices), choose for yourself.
If you decide to relax in Alupka, then Dream by the Sea is the most suitable and appropriate hotel for a normal vacation. But you need to know that:
1) The hotel does not have its own beach, you can swim 50 meters away on three public free beaches. There is a pier, where you can perfectly sunbathe and go down the stairs into the water.
2) According to the administrator Julia, this year there will be no breakfast included in the price of accommodation, the restaurant will most likely work.
3) All standard rooms on the second floor of the Climatopavilion have their own balconies with furniture and exceptional sea views (the sea is 30 meters away). The junior suite (2nd floor) does not have a private balcony, there is a shared terrace. On the first floor of the Climato-Pavilion there is a common walk-through balcony for all rooms.
4) On the territory of Sna by the sea there are individual private cottages, one cottage for rent to vacationers and 2 hotel buildings, so do not be surprised if they grill barbecue or ride a quad bike on the territory - this did not stop us.
5) If you want to have a pompous holiday, you can rent an individual cottage, located all in the same protected area, just above the Climato Pavilion.
We carefully selected and reviewed the information and reviews about a large number of hotels located in Alupka (we wanted to rest in Alupka), we can objectively recommend the Dream by the Sea hotel - you will not regret it.
We do not recommend the hotel Mare Nero, which is hyped and beautiful from photographs, because of its location: the sea is not visible from the hotel (quite remote), there is no territory, the restaurant is common for everyone - very expensive, "passage courtyard". A beautiful fountain and stylized hotel rooms are not what people go to the sea for! But everyone chooses for himself and for himself.
Good luck and have a good rest!

We read a lot of reviews and, on the basis of the “more pluses than minuses” principle, decided to go to Dream by the Sea.
We traveled by public transport from Sevastopol to Alupka. We found the location of the hotel on the map, but for a long time we could not figure out how to get to it. In particular, for us, this was practically the only negative of the hotel - the absence of a sign or any signs indicating the existence of a hotel in the area. Agree, running along the coast with suitcases in search of at least some signs of the hotel is at least hard. Through the use of deduction, induction and a banal descent down the Vorontsov park, we finally found this hotel.
The territory is guarded, with a checkpoint on both sides. We, loaded with bags, were let in without looking.
Administrator Julia, a friendly woman, agreed to accept payment in different currencies, and the conversion rate was the same as in Privatbank's exchangers. Julia took us to the room, showed/told everything.
We lived in a "Standard" room on the second floor of the climate pavilion. Immediately advice: book rooms on the second floor, since there are actually no balconies on the first floor, instead of them there is a large terrace, along which other vacationers may well take a short cut. The room itself is very comfortable! I especially note the wrought-iron table and chairs on the balcony, they are simply chic, very pleasing to the eye! The bed is spacious and the mattress is very comfortable. The hair dryer was a pleasant surprise. The website didn't say anything about it. Plumbing is new and good. The bathroom is equipped with a wall-mounted fan/extractor, so there is always fresh air. A little surprised by the lack of a minimum set - soap and shampoo.
The maids are cleaned every day, if you hang a sign asking "Do not clean", then the maid will not enter the room. The maids clean very well, nothing was stolen. Beach towels were also a plus. Very convenient - no need to bring them with you.
A separate topic is the pontoon beach! To tell the truth the first 2 days I didn’t go to him, I “turned my nose”. Then I appreciated it! The advantages of a pontoon beach: descending into the water along the steps (which means you don’t need to prick your legs on pebbles), soft sunbeds, sun umbrellas for every 4 sunbeds and a shower with clean, non-salty water. There is a lifeguard on the beach, a very sociable man. He always greets you, finds out how you are doing, how your vacation is. He will definitely put you a sunbed where you need and reserve a place for an umbrella.
Breakfast included in the price is very satisfying! Breakfast example: buffet (sausage, cheese, cabbage and cucumber salad, tea / coffee / 2 types of juice / kefir, cookies, butter, jam / condensed milk), porridge and also scrambled eggs or pancakes (a different dish every day). I didn’t eat porridge and ate quite a satisfying meal, which I didn’t want to have dinner.
We dined, as a rule, in the Cô te d'Azur cafe. Of course, it looks ordinary, but the food is very tasty. Be sure to go there, they have very tasty salads and barbecue. The restaurant on the third floor of the climate pavilion is expensive, we were only once.
As for Wi-Fi, it seems to be there, but it seems to be not. Very, very slow speed! In the restaurant "Morskoy" and next to it, the network at least catches, but it loads with difficulty. Step aside - and the Internet disappears.
As a result, the warmest memories remained about the hotel and the desire to return there at least once more.
P. S. Every morning a cat came to our balcony! Sometimes she brought her prey. And one night she went into the open balcony door and fell apart with us on the bed : )

We chose the climate pavilion deluxe room: the room matches the photos, everything has a refrigerator, a kettle, a hairdryer, a TV, which for some reason hangs in the hallway, pathetically called the living room. This is inconvenient, because there is nothing to look at, the installed 1.5 sleeping sofa does not have this. Exit from the room to the terrace, on which there is a table, chairs and the possibility of rest is expected. BUT! Through this terrace, everyone is constantly walking, both vacationers and the children of the owners (they even look into the windows and open doors - what they look for is incomprehensible), outsiders also go, who go for a ride on a boat, a banana. Thus, from a suite, the room was turned into a passage courtyard. Next is the beach. The hotel claims that it has its own pontoon beach (which was also an important argument in the choice), however, out of 10 umbrellas on the beach, 6 are occupied. Since the families of the owners with children come there and they don’t care where people who pay money will relax. In addition, the owners brought jet skis on which they and children ride, a boat, and all this is also stored on a platform called the "beach". In fact, there is nowhere to sunbathe, many vacationers have to look for another beach, perhaps also paid (although the cost of the beach is certainly included in the accommodation).
A separate topic is breakfasts - they are also included in the accommodation and are proudly called "buffet", from which sausage is stable (such as Finnish servelat) and the cheapest version of cheese (such as Russian). The proposed rice or buckwheat porridge is a cereal filled with hot milk, but not porridge. Complex dinners are also complete nonsense (chicken soup from sighted and chicken skin + eggplant and pepper. . )
The issue of washing clothes is also not resolved in any way, there is no iron either. In addition, it says that the hotel has internet (Wi-Fi) NO HIM! Used regular sim.
In addition, music from a cheap cafe next door rumbles every night (the night disco that burned down has been restored).
The advantage of the hotel is its proximity to the sea.
As well as wonderful cuisine at "Moscow prices".
Enjoy your holiday to everyone who chooses this hotel, but I and other people I met at the hotel are sure that we will not go here again.

Our room was on the second floor of the climate pavilion. The hotel was chosen according to several criteria:
1 place
We chose a place for a relaxing holiday. In previous reviews, they talked about a noisy disco and, frankly, this was very embarrassing for me. Somewhere on the Internet then I found information that the disco burned down. Indeed, there is no disco. But, having arrived at night from May 1st to 2nd, after 6 hours of standing at the border, meeting with the local traffic police and stressful driving along Alupka along the route laid out by the navigator, we were very unpleasantly surprised to see and hear on the embankment (she located below, right next to the building of the climate pavilion and does not belong to the territory of the hotel) some youngsters, teenagers 15-17 years old. With the balcony door closed, they were still quite audible. The only good thing is that, apparently, local youth gather there only on holidays.
On other days they were not seen or heard, and the room was quite quiet. True, a couple of nights loud music was heard from a cafe on the waterfront. Complained in other reviews that you can hear your neighbors, we didn't hear them, and I hope they didn't hear us either 
The location of the hotel itself is very good (a beautiful view of the sea), a good equipped area. Near within walking distance of the Vorontsov Palace and Alupka Park. With the exception of these two attractions, Alupka is not remembered for anything particularly impressive. And we didn't sit in the same place.
We chose a place that would be convenient to travel around the neighborhood in our car. A steep and winding road leads to the hotel itself, even two. One is better, the other is worse. We didn’t try to drive on the second one, the car coped with the first one.
2) sea view.
The rooms really offer a wonderful view of the sea, which, however, is spoiled by anti-storm fortifications.
It was great to sit on the balcony in the evening. We saw dolphins a few times.
3) Number
The number corresponds to the description and photo on the official and other sites. There was a hairdryer in the room (I did not find information about this on the Internet, and took my own, although the hotel one was not particularly powerful). As a very big plus, I want to note that the rooms have their own boiler, so you can not be afraid that you will be left without hot water and you will have to wash yourself with cold water. Towels and linens were changed as promised. As for cleaning, it was done, in my opinion, quite normally. The only thing I didn’t really like was that when cleaning things that were on the bedside shelves or a table, the maid rearranged the way she felt comfortable (or seemed better to her). I'd rather things stay where they are, even if the table underneath isn't scuffed. The room has a small set of crockery and cutlery.
The refrigerator was very cold, which, according to my husband's experience, is not often the case in hotels, at least in Russian ones.
4) breakfasts
Yes, I really wanted to not have to think in the morning what to eat and how to feed my husband. Breakfast at Dream by the Sea is served at the Sea Club restaurant, which is located on the third floor of the climate pavilion. There is an open area and a closed, glazed terrace. Breakfasts are quite normal (of course, not a buffet in Spanish hotels), but if you stay in a hotel for a long time, they may seem monotonous. For the first, milk porridge is served, for the second - scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs, hot sandwiches, etc. Although the dishes served differ, as I understand it, depending on the category of the room. The inhabitants of the suites had a choice of dishes for the main course. We lived in the standard, so we had no choice. The buffet is a slice of sausage and cheese, vegetables, buns, bread, butter, cookies, honey, condensed milk, jam.
The drinks included juice, tea bags, instant coffee, milk, yogurt, kefir. Service was good, food was served quickly and with a smile. Our vacation fell on Easter. It's nice that at breakfast we were treated to Easter eggs and Easter cake. We never had lunch or dinner in the restaurant, so I can’t say anything about the cuisine and service, apart from breakfast.
5) Parking
She is on site. Parking spaces are marked, although there were not enough of them for everyone. But we found a place where to park the car.
6) Internet
Free WiFi was promised. He was absent. They said that a wire broke somewhere (! ). Was not all 7 days while we lived in the hotel.

In general, we are satisfied with the rest. Our expectations were met, but we would like to note the following:
1) inconvenient booking system. For residents of Russia, making an advance payment becomes very problematic. For example, in our city, which is still far from small (millionaire!
), the transfer of Unistream turned out to be impossible in the form in which the hotel administration requires. Transferring to a card through the Visa Money Transfer system also turned out to be problematic, since I had to open a QIWI wallet specifically for this.
2) There are no road signs to the hotel. And we even almost drove through the gates of the hotel (it was dark, there was no name of the hotel, before that there were also signs, only on the gates I noticed a small banner that said about the sauna at the Dream by the Sea hotel). We drove on the navigator, which, as it turned out, did not know Alupka at all. In a letter from the management after booking confirmation, the way to the hotel was described very superficially. The husband wrote down the route from Yalta to the hotel on the navigator. If I find a way, I'll post a link to it.
3) There is no information in the room. That piece of paper that hung on the door can hardly be called information (as I recall, there was a ban on night guests and the offer of sauna services). We arrived at night.
The key was given to us by the security guard, who escorted us to the room. It would be nice to know how the balcony door closes (the mechanism is unusual and very non-obvious), where is the restaurant, reception, etc.
4) The entrance gate to the territory is automatic, but the system is also broken. The guards had to run up the hill to open/close the gate.
5) I would like to see the name, at least some sign with the name of the hotel (ideally: in large gold letters on the building, so that it can be seen from the sea). Its absence (or invisibility) significantly reduces the class of the hotel.
6) There is a cafe on the beach next to the hotel, in May it was not very crowded. But it does not add prestige to the hotel either.
7) There is a beach near the hotel, but, as I understand it, it is public, very small. I don’t know how it is in the season, at the beginning of May there were several warm days, and there were enough people on it. The hotel has its own pontoon, but it is for launching boats and for sunbathing.

BUT there are moments that spoil the rest. A huge minus for me is the thin partitions on the terrace, when you can clearly hear what the neighbors are saying even when they are talking quietly, what can I say if they start swearing or listening to music (there were once neighbors who listened loudly to pop music on the balcony at night - it was impossible to sleep) or someone smokes on the neighboring balcony - everything is drawn into the room. For me, as a non-smoker, this is a nightmare, especially on vacation. And the last time, living in the climate pavilion on the 2nd floor, by 23.00 (approximately) the restaurant staff often began to feast: drag tables, laugh out loud and discuss life, etc. , which I didn’t want to hear at all, but I had to. And all this went on until about 2 am. So this is how I had a dream by the sea.

Cozy, beautiful, comfortable. . . But, as often happens, not without a fly in the ointment. Two adults and one four-year-old child stayed at APK No. 9. But we didn’t manage to use it for its intended purpose (in the evening our daughter went to bed, and ourselves with a bottle of Massandra wine on the balcony) for two reasons. The first is heat + proximity to the sea (the air is sticky to the touch). The second one is the restaurant's brazier fired up at 18:00 (smells of fried fish and all kinds of shish kebab). In this regard, the windows in the room were closed for the entire month of our holiday. But the night disco did not bother us either (which cannot be said about the neighbors - windows and doors are open around the clock).
All of the above does not apply to vacationers in the "climato pavilion".
Restaurant "sea club" located on the territory, in general, not bad, if not for the prices and speed of service. We were satisfied with the breakfasts.
But despite the minor flaws (where without them) we had a good rest. I can safely recommend this hotel to anyone interested.
Special thanks to the administrator Julia. Completed all our requests quickly and efficiently.
Best regards, Nikolay.
