The last week of September 2013 rested in the hotel "Ellada" (building Park) in Semidvorye. In general, the rest was quite positive, even despite the cold weather - the cleanest air and beautiful nature still do their job.
A little more about everything:

Semidvore
Pros:
A very well-groomed area on the seashore, far from the highway, a large beautiful park with a variety of plants (from cypresses and firs to palm trees and cacti), clean roads, nice hotels, well-equipped beaches. There are 2 restaurants on the embankment: "Sky lounge Cafe" and "Limon", where they cook delicious food for quite reasonable money. The first one is located on the terrace of the last floor of the building at the end of the embankment, with a beautiful view of the sea, well prepared lamb, delicious coffee and desserts. The second is located in a tent right at the beginning of the embankment.

Despite the not very nice view from the outside (a tent and a counter with the inscription “set meals”), inside everything is clean and beautiful and very tasty - they took sea pike perch and beef steak with cherry sauce - amazingly tasty and large portions. Polite waiters in both restaurants - a separate respect.
There is a pharmacy. Various travel companies offer services.
There are small playgrounds, children's animation according to the schedule on the playground at the end of the embankment, a small area with the most necessary exercise equipment - all for free.
Minuses:
There is no ATM on site. There are 2 stores, which not only have a very limited assortment, but also half-empty shelves - that is, if you need to buy something, you have to go to Alushta.

Communication with Alushta
Pros:
If you don’t have your own car or you don’t want to spend money on a taxi (you can get a car from the hotel for 80 UAH), a transfer to Alushta and back costs 15 UAH.
from a person.
Minuses:
Transfer only 3 times a day (from Semidvorye at 9 am, at 14:30 and at 18:00; from Alushta at 8:30.12:30 and at 18:30). In the low season, there are not always enough seats - sometimes the bus is full and you have to ride standing up. In the high season, such a service is probably considered purely symbolic.

Hotel
Pros:
Well-groomed territory, friendly reception, clean, quiet, own beach, organized transfer in small buses from the hotel to the beach (although it takes exactly 5 minutes to go down to the beach along a good road). Almost everything is provided - even beach towels are provided to forgetful vacationers for the entire period of stay on bail. Towels are changed in the rooms every day and garbage is taken out, cleaning is done every 3 days. There is always hot water. Free WiFi in the rooms - you need to get the password at the reception.
Minuses:
Payment only in cash - there is no terminal. So if you don’t think about withdrawing money, you will have to go to Alushta.

Wi-Fi in the rooms is purely for the sake of formality - the connection is very weak and even a news page or a weather website page will take several minutes to load. And in the last 2 days, the Internet disappeared altogether, so I had to go to the reception with my laptop to top up my phone account - it seems that this is the only place in the hotel where the Internet works smoothly and at a good speed.

Rooms
Pros:
All rooms have large balconies (a table with 2 chairs and a clothes dryer are comfortably placed on the balcony, and at the same time there is still a lot of free space between them). Almost all with sea views (trees cover the sea on the first and second floors). The rooms are really big, clean and comfortable.
New renovation, new furniture (and there is more than enough of it: a wardrobe, a dressing table, a chest of drawers with many compartments and bedside tables; in the hallway there are hangers for outerwear, a shoe cabinet), large mirrors everywhere (both in the room, and in the bathroom, and in hallway), comfortable mattresses and pillows, clean linen. The room has a small fridge, safe, TV, electric kettle and air conditioning.
The maid does her job, in general, well and discreetly.
Minuses:
The shower is stocked with shampoo and soap. There is no shower gel.
A glass for toothbrushes and other accessories is not provided or they forgot to put it in - I had to take one of those that are on the tray in the room (tray, 2 saucers, 2 mugs, 2 spoons, 2 glasses). By the way, there are no tea and/or coffee bags.
The water pressure is very weak. You can rinse, but wash long hair with great difficulty.
The bed is supposed to have a mattress topper, 2 sheets and pillowcases for 2 pillows.
Blankets come without a duvet cover, for some reason. I don't think it's very hygienic. There are no pillowcases for a comfortable third pillow either.
On the last day, the maid forgot (or decided not to) put toilet paper in. The question is whether this is a private case or is it the policy of the hotel - open.

Nutrition
Pros:
Meals are organized in a nice cafe on the 6th floor. There is also a terrace with beautiful sea views. You can order meals either for the entire stay at once, or order it every evening for the next day as it suits you - either one breakfast, or HB, or FB.

As for Ukraine, the buffet is organized with dignity - at least there will be 4 meat dishes, various side dishes, salads.
All food is cooked properly - there are no greasy, overcooked, over-peppered or the like unhealthy dishes.
Minuses:
Sweets and fruits/vegetables are presented very poorly (from vegetables there were tomatoes, cucumbers and cabbage; from fruits - grapes, Crimean melons, sometimes small cuts of pineapples/oranges, etc. as an additive to pancakes, apparently).
The dishes are not warmed up enough - most of them are put on a plate barely warm.
The cafe has very strange and loud music - either mournful songs of unknown Russian or Ukrainian rappers, or cheerful disco music. It would be nice to put some kind of background lounge, or quiet modern European music.
Coffee is only instant and it does not rely on cream or milk. So I advise coffee lovers the aforementioned restaurants.

Hotel administration
Pros:
There is an administration  So, if necessary, there is where to turn.
Minuses:
The administration is somewhat careless, so you can’t rely on vacationers on them. Examples.
1) When booking a hotel, we chose a departure date for a long time. And in the end, they still confused when to leave. And they were so sure of this that they did not check the tickets. As a result, we “decided” to leave a day earlier. We came to the reception to order a taxi and arrange a later check-out at 14:00 (there were few people in the hotel anyway). So the administrator carefully checked our room to see if anyone would enter it and recommended to double-check in the morning whether anything would change overnight - and this despite the fact that he had to see that the room was paid for by us for another day, and about this warn us. Still, this is their job, which must be done with high quality.
2) Leaving the next day, we ordered a taxi so that we would arrive at the bus station in Alushta in advance (it takes about 25 minutes to drive to Alushta, we ordered 50 minutes before the departure time of the Alushta-Simferopol bus).

Either the administrators forgot to call a taxi on time, or it was a stupid strategy to come back to back to take it to the train to Simferopol at a higher price, but the fact remains: 20 minutes of delay, and there was no taxi. The administrator promised to find out where the car was and call back - he never called back. We were miraculously lucky that at that time another car arrived - brought tourists to the hotel. So we were able to go to the city and catch the bus back to back. And 30 UAH cheaper.
If these are issues of incompetence of administrators, the hotel clearly needs to reconsider the quality of the staff. If this attitude is due to the fact that we have already left, then the approach is also strange - after all, these last hours or days of staying in a hotel can cancel out the desire to come there again.
