Rested from 01.10. 2012 to 12.10. 2012.
After much deliberation where to go in October, studying a bunch of sites with reviews, I stopped at Zolotoy Kolos, called the hotel, booked a room, received a 10% discount (because I managed to book on a special offer), ordered a transfer from the hotel.

The scheme of payment and reservation is simple, call, book a room, they send you a receipt by e-mail, you pay only the first day, you pay the rest of the amount on the spot, after paying for 1 day of accommodation, you are sent a type of voucher that you must print and give to the reception during registration and payment.
The cost of the transfer is 250 UAH on the railway and 100 UAH more expensive to the airport. When I arrived, I was met with a sign, the driver brought me to the hotel, at first they put me in a room, and then the most interesting thing began, I went to look for an exchanger, I searched for a long time, the exchanger was closed, then the program did not work, I found it, exchanged money. I handed over the printed receipt and paid the amount due to me. And the rest began.
About the hotel:
The hotel consists of 3 main buildings:
Building 1 is a 12-storey building with an elevator in which there is a reception desk and a bar "USSR" (communist themes are everywhere, flags, portraits of leaders, bartenders in pioneer ties) and a left-luggage office (you can leave strollers there and there are safe boxes for storing documents).
2nd building - 4-storey building without an elevator, it mainly contains single rooms.
3rd building -5-6 floors (I don’t remember exactly) next to the pool, the Cuba bar (open bar), there is also a treatment center in it.
also on site there is a gym and a separate building where there are 3 restaurants (2 for guests and 1 for VIP guests). cinema and conference room.
Rooms.
Initially, I was settled in the 2nd building, the room is not large (9 sq m) with a balcony, there is a refrigerator in the room. TV and air conditioning, a shower with a curtain without barriers, from toiletries only soap (ordinary) is cheap, and toilet paper, there is a fan (with 2 nozzles).

I lived in this room for one day, because my room went out exactly right to the speaker near the bar and the disco, you can say, was in my room, in general, I didn’t manage to get enough sleep, so the next morning, I went to the reception desk and asked me to move, of course I had to pay extra, but I was moved to the 1st building, I didn’t have to carry things myself. the guards moved the suitcases (by the way, when they left, the porter appeared), so the rest of the time I lived in a 2-bed room. with a large area (12 square meters) I didn’t have a view of the mountains or the park, because it was on the 2nd floor. but on the other hand, there was practically no disco (in any case, it did not interfere with my rest).
By the way, the problem of "disco in the room" arose not only for me, on the eve of my departure, an uncle came to the reception and began to swear, as it turned out, he also lived in the same room as me and he had the same problem, so he was overpowered in 2x local absolutely free. The room was cleaned every day, towels could also be changed at least every day, bed linen was changed once a week.
Restaurant.
As mentioned earlier, the hotel has 3 restaurants, 2 for ordinary guests and one for VIPs (these are those who bought a semi-lux or suite), they differ in that the VIP restaurant is served by waiters, and in the usual buffet. At first I ate at the restaurant, which is on the left hand side of the entrance, but then it was closed for sanitation. processing and everyone moved to a restaurant with children, the food is normal, I didn’t rest in Turkey, for me you can eat like that.
Of course, the dishes are repeated, there were always Ukrainian dishes (borscht, dumplings, etc. ), fruits and compote were for lunch, there were pastries for dinner.
Honey. Centre.
The sanatorium itself has the following areas: respiratory diseases (tonsillitis, pharyngitis, sinusitis, etc. ), nervous system (neurosthenia, chronic fatigue syndrome). musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular system. If you do not have a spa card, everything can be done on the spot (free of charge), the therapist will examine you, and if necessary, he will send you to narrow specialists: laura, pulmonologist, gynecologist, surgeon, they also have a psychotherapist and a doctor of alternative medicine. There is a laboratory where general analyzes can be done. I didn’t have a San Kura, but I had medical cards, so it took me 2 days to go to the doctors. And on the 1st day, I was scheduled for the procedure.

The therapist chooses a program that suits you and you begin to be treated, this is usually one (max 2 physiotherapy) and 2-3 hydrotherapy, massage, etc. On average, the course is designed for 5 days, in the future for additional. fee, but by Moscow standards it comes out quite inexpensively.
Territory.
The territory is well-groomed, clean, strangers do not walk, because at the entrance you are put on a bracelet and the entrance to the territory is carried out only through them. there is a playground, swings, indoor trampolines, animators with children also draw, for adults there are gazebos with benches and swing benches.
Swimming pool
on the territory of 2 indoor pools (in a medical building with a sauna and a Turkish bath) and an open pool near the bar, a cube divided into 3 parts deep, not very deep (temperature 26-28) and a paddling pool for children. Nearby there are sun loungers, towels for them are issued at the bar.
Beach.
It is located 2 km from the hotel, is under reconstruction, so by the next season, problems with tents that do not perform their function can be solved (in any case, the management promises), the bus to and from the beach runs on schedule, towels as well issued on the spot in exchange for a special card (which is given upon check-in).
Tours.
At the entrance to the restaurant there is an awning with excursions and tickets are purchased from the entertainer, who usually hangs out at this stand. At the exit from the territory on the opposite side of the road there are also stands, next to them are aunts who sell tickets (normal aunts are a representative of the goldfish company (the farthest stand) and the nearest one, and the one that needs to be avoided between these, I’m on them flew in, they are scammers, they only promise, and then they roll.
The prices are the same everywhere, so you can book trips from the hotel anyway, either from a goldfish or from another company. If you eat for the whole day, you need to go to the restaurant manager the day before, this woman stands at the entrance to the restaurant, and agrees on dry rations and the next day (on the day of the tour) you will be given it.

I recommend visiting the Vorontsov Palace 9g. (Alupka) (for 4 hours), Bakhchisaray (for the whole day), the Dzhur Dzhur waterfall is very interesting, but older people are better off refraining from this type of trip, because you have to go to it for about 30 minutes and then to the baths of youth for about 15 minutes and this uphill along the forest path (so count your strength)
It is better to change money in the center, the best rate is in the exchanger near the entrance to the market (such a stand-alone booth), and even better in Moscow, the rate is higher here.
Souvenirs:
- Crimean oils
-Handmade soap
-Sweets (like Turkish delight, they are sold there near the restaurant, but it’s cheaper to buy them on the embankment, there are a number of tents near the rotunda with the inscription Alushta, I personally went to tent No. 43 for soap, there it is kept by a good woman mother of 5 children)
- Crimean wines
- Well, there are all sorts of key chains, etc.
The air and climate in Alushta are awesome, the sea is different, but always beautiful, the autumn landscapes are beautiful,
So I recommend.
Have a good rest.
