Usually sequels are worse than the originals (with rare exceptions, such as "Terminator 2"), because you expect the same vivid sensations, but there is a repetition of an already worn out plot. The same thing often happens with repeated visits to holiday destinations: there are no longer those vivid impressions as during the first visit, you begin to pay attention to small details, find fault with trifles, evaluate what positive has been done over the past year, how the wishes of vacationers were taken into account. Let me describe the changes that have taken place:
- A deaf two-meter fence appeared around the sanatorium, about the construction of which in the winter, in a dispute with the local population, many spears were broken. The fence is beautifully finished and fits very well into the landscape. From the side of the city, the fence is planted with flowers, which are watered every day by gardeners. Of course, he did not completely remove the noise from the street, but he hid the playground from prying eyes and the air on it became cleaner.
- The tiles on all the paths were replaced with "paving stones", so now you don't stumble.
- On the facade of the third building opposite the pools, a huge board was hung: time / date / temperature. Also in the hull hangs a plate indicating the temperatures of air, water and sea waves.
- They hung multi-colored garlands over all the gazebos. The central fountain also shimmers. Looks spectacular at night.
- Two more pavilions are being built on the territory, one with a fountain complex around.
- A Privatbank ATM was installed near the entrance gate. I won't say anything about commissions, I haven't used them myself.
- Coolers with hot and cold water appeared on the floors of the buildings. However, the poltergeist does not sleep (see below).
- In the bars "SSSR" and "Cuba" the range of free drinks has changed. Instead of locally produced wild rose and hibiscus, Lemonade, Tarragon and Baikal (cola) from bottles of the Ukrainian company "Bon Boisson" appeared in dispensers. However, Solomon's decision was made and black and herbal teas and coffee were left. Coolers with hot and cold water were also placed nearby, which was convenient to regulate the temperature of tea and soda.
- An excellent tennis court and mini football ground were built behind the gym of the third building.
- There are no special changes in the children's entertainment zone, only additional electric cars have appeared.
- In all rooms, even the cheapest standards, there are quite good hair dryers.
- All balconies have outdoor furniture: two plastic chairs and a table.
- A table with dishes for children appeared in the dining room. There were usually two warm containers with vegetable casseroles, pancakes, pancakes and other dishes for children. It is interesting, however, that in the dining room there are already dietary meals, so they simply expanded the range of dishes.
Baby chairs have arrived. In the children's room, cartoons are broadcast on the panels in a "silent" mode. It is clear that the guests were divided into two groups according to the principle "for" / "against".
- There is almost always meat, mainly in the form of meatballs, stuffing or goulash. In my memory, a couple of times, probably, for breakfast there were only sausages, sausage and ham. The assortment of pastries has increased.
- The assortment of fruits has increased: apples, oranges are almost always available, pears, peaches, melons, grapes (one thing) are taken out for lunch. Miracles also happen with fruits (see below).
As before, "H" at lunch time is the arrival time of the bus (about 13:15), during which there is a shortage of tables and the seizure of fruit, often even without the use of tweezers. "In general", - as the hero of the immortal creation "Brotherhood and the Ring" said: "a normal civilized life is going on. "
- They were allowed to take out food in containers from the dining room if necessary, although they strongly do not recommend doing this: they are afraid of poisoning due to a possible delay if they take and keep the food in the heat.
- They stopped ticking the visit to the dining room in the maps, now they just ask for the room number at the entrance.
- On the site of the old summer dance floor and, partially hitting and, accordingly, closing the Arbuz cafe, a huge summer pavilion was erected on a plank floor, called the Golden Hall. The idea is not bad - it allows you to hold animation programs and discos even with heavy rain / wind. However, so far, it seems that the room is being brought to mind: although acoustics are installed inside, all kinds of lighting and special effects installations (and all this is already in use), chairs stacked against the wall, and beams under the ceiling still create an involuntary feeling of being on some kind of stock.
- A powerful animation team of 7 people was invited to work in the summer. In the pioneer camp mode at exactly 10.13 and 15 hours, most of the team went to the pool (which was visible on the webcam) and turned people on with a hotel dance "Que si, que no", ending for most children with a jump into the pool. This was followed by announcements of animation programs and the programs themselves. The animation format has changed: it is now divided into three blocks. All kinds of crafts and games now go on at 11 and 12 in the morning (which was not very convenient for us, because we were still on the beach, but from the point of view of medicine, the idea is correct - you need to sunbathe before 11-12 and after 16). There were also various games at 16:30. At the same time, at 4 p. m. , cartoons were shown daily (mostly modern Hollywood ones). There were daily classes for children and adults aqua aerobics, as well as water polo.
Evening events were the most intense: animation often took place at three points: in the pavilion - children's and adult discos and competitions, at the Cuba bar - games for adults, at the central fountain - a video console with a projection on a large screen. At the same time, films were shown in the concert hall, or magicians, artists, circus performers, etc.
- The format of the children's disco has changed - it has become somewhat "turkish": each disco had a certain frame of children's songs, in which 1-2 songs were added and excluded every 2 days. However, well-known songs for attentiveness and dexterity ("Tsjoe Tsjoe Wa", "Soco, Bate, Vira", "Boogie Woogie") plus many Russian songs did not let the children get bored. Remained in the program loved by many "brooks" with the participation of adults. The animators usually tied each disco to a theme and put on the appropriate costumes (judging by the fact that they practically did not repeat in 20 days, I can’t even imagine what wardrobes they have). Special effects were actively used, which made the children very happy.
- The children's room is still open from 8 to 20 with two teachers, even on weekends. The children are ostracized, I do crafts. If there are interesting concerts, then the room is open until 21.
- Two of the animators - dancers, gave free master classes.
- For adults, theme parties were often held in the evening. They even managed to dig up African and Hawaiian singers somewhere, which is symbolic for the Cuba bar.
The beach has begun to be built. I must say that walking along the embankment from the tunnel to the sanatorium, I did not see any beaches that did not have stones in the water at all. From a distance it seemed to me that there were practically no stones at Slavutych and Magnolia. So, apparently, this is a global problem in Alushta. Sanatoriums and boarding houses compete to see who will throw more Kamaz trucks with gravel into the sea in the spring (the problem of stones is solved there in this way). It can be seen that Kolos threw quite a lot this year, because the pebbles were traditionally washed out by a storm, and the slope of the beach increased noticeably compared to last year. But the stones still remained.
- The problem of slippery stones for the floating part of the guests was solved by installing long pontoons with ladders for descending into the water to a depth.
- For children on the children's beach, a strip of shallow water was marked with a rope, which surprisingly coincided with the stone-rubble border. Well, on the right side of the children's beach, quite a lot of pebbles remained in the water, so the entry into the sea was noticeably better than on an adult.
- Soda dispensers and a cooler with hot and cold water were installed in the rescue room.
- Comfortable stationary men's and women's toilets with washbasins were installed across the road from the beach. The keys could be taken from the rescuers (there are three of them plus a nurse).
- On the beach began to install additional canopies. With me there were 3 of them: two above two children's pools and one just for vacationers. This year, however, I have never encountered the problem of lack of space under a canopy in July; we drove at the beginning of the tenth and at the beginning of the eleventh - we always managed to find places. As a last resort, they asked and pushed apart the sunbeds already standing and put a deck chair there.
- They covered the dressing rooms with canopies from above.
- The driver and the bus are the same. The driver was impeccable, but the bus. . . It's hard to say. The fact that it’s not worth using electric cars there, I think, is understandable, because, firstly, each of them, according to the guys from the Vorontsov Palace, working in a company that sells such cars, costs about 14 kiloeurics, which, of course, will be driven in in the cost of vouchers, and secondly, whoever saw what was happening on the embankment after the rains in July will understand that closed transport is needed there. Small buses will not be able to transport so many people at once, so only a large one is needed.
- Electronic registration works in the medical center, however, the time queue is set only for specific specialists, and some physiotherapy procedures can be carried out in "time windows".
Poltergeist.
(Here I have collected all the amazing events that take place on the territory of Kolos and defy logical explanation)
- After a few days of rest, a cooler and a bucket suddenly disappeared from the third floor of the third building. They said it was broken. However, neither after 10 nor after 20 days did he appear. Not otherwise the poltergeist is operating.
- The fruits in the dining room are disappearing at lightning speed. I suggested that the administrator still give out fruit in portions, but give it out again on demand. The problem was solved differently - they began to endure more. Huge trays were brought out again and again. And the fruit disappeared and disappeared. Miracles. . . True, I noticed people quietly taking out a full plastic bag (! ) of peaches, but, probably, they bought it all on the market and just left it in the storage room in the dining room; ).
- One morning there was no water. Everyone was warned about this the day before. Turned off at 12 at night, promised to turn on at 6 in the morning. It wasn't at 8 am. They said it would be after lunch. Turned on around 10 am. Such miracles.
- The poltergeist also affected thermometers. In the children's pool, the water was 25 degrees to the touch, and the thermometer showed 21. Then, however, something changed, and it began to show 28 (well, it was like that to the touch. ). The lower limit of the thermometer that measures the temperature of the water in the sea, as I understand it, was set by the poltergeist at around 21 degrees. When there was a runoff of water in the sea for several days, and the temperature gradually dropped somewhere to 18 degrees, the inscription on the sheet in the 3rd building continued to state that the temperature was still 21 degrees.
- And the poltergeist liked to hang ribbons and block paths. No, he did not do much harm: he dabbled around the dining room and blocked the approaches to it here and there. And then he dug holes instead of a ribbon. This is probably not to eat a lot.
Silver card
This year I got a silver card in my hands and got the opportunity to evaluate all its advantages. I will go through the main points that are stated on the website of the sanatorium and describe how they actually work.
1.15% discount. The card is personal, so the discount is valid only for the cardholder. If dad received a discount, then grandfather will not be given a discount on this card. In addition, the discount on the card does not work together with the discount on promotions. Example: there are three people in a family: one has a silver card, two have only permanent guest cards with a 5% discount. There is a promotion for early booking with a 10% discount. We book a threesome. There are two options: either we order a room with a 10% discount, or for each discount individually 15% -5% -5%. It is impossible to make 15% -10% -10%.
2. Meals in the VIP room. If one family member has a card, then it covers everyone. We have been to the VIP lounge twice. The hall is beautiful, the atmosphere is cozy, like in a good restaurant. Meals are similar to the common room. Unlike what I was told last year, this year the waiters don't serve food, but you take everything from the buffet yourself. That's right, nothing cools down. Tea and coffee are brought to order by waiters. You can take wine, order cocktails (for money). All dishes are always available at any time. So everyone who loves solitude and peace while eating - you are here. But these are those who live in junior suites / suites. We went down to the common room, because the child is very active and it is too early for him to sit in such a room. Well, my daughter's girlfriends were all sitting downstairs.
3. Early check-in / late check-out. Accommodation is extended free of charge, but only if there is a free room. But even if there is no free room, then the cards are not taken away and you can stay until lunch on the territory of the sanatorium, go to the beach, and carry out procedures. There are toilets and showers on the territory, you can throw things in the storage room. You can have a free lunch on the day of departure or breakfast on the day of arrival.
Twin room
Due to my inattention (I missed buying a railway ticket), we rested one more day, and on the last day we had to move to the "Twin" room. This is a standard room with a minimum price, which can fit three people. The size of the room corresponds to the size of the Khrushchev kitchen. Along the edges are two beds. In a one and a half meter gap between them, you can install a folding bed, while the room is completely clogged. However, during the day, people usually collect a folding bed and put it in a common corridor, so the problem is solved. The room also has everything you need: TV, refrigerator, air conditioning, hair dryer. There is a balcony with outdoor furniture. The inconvenience can only be at night: if you turn on the air conditioner, it will blow a little on one of the beds.
General impression.
Well, the second series turned out really well. The sanatorium has gained its pool of admirers, packed to capacity, but is not going to stop there. The plot develops dynamically, there is a certain intrigue. However, the budget of the "picture" has increased by 30%, which is already a little alarming. Nevertheless, we are waiting for the continuation ("to be continued").

The maids are great: daily cleaning, the bed is clearly on schedule - once every 5 days, but with towels worse... It is clearly written on the door to the shower room that the sanatorium protects nature, saves water and electricity, therefore it replaces towels at the request of vacationers. What are you doing?
