We were at a seminar, that's how we ended up in the Blue Bay boarding house. At first glance, the territory and buildings are shabby, in the lobby the mood immediately changes, behind the old metal doors, there is immediately a difference between the outwardly Soviet building and the renovated one inside. We lived in a category 2 room. The first impression pleases, a brand new renovation, furniture, air conditioning, TV, bathroom everything is new with a boiler. But happiness did not last long, or we were not lucky, but rather it is a typical situation in the Crimea, the water supply broke, the water disappeared, the boiler became irrelevant at all. TV works but no antenna. There are no complaints about the air conditioner. The bed was changed every other day.
The beach is its own, which everyone enters freely, but in June there were places, large pebbles on the shore and in the sea. As for the pool, it was near another building and paid, which is very striking, the boarding house pool is not included in the price. 30 UAH use + 30 UAH deck chair. On the beach, sun loungers without mattresses 20 UAH. Nutrition: I am one of the people who love canteen food, purees on the water, steam cutlets....But even so, I can say that they didn’t feed very well, you can’t call it a diet food, a lot of fried, fatty, a trick that you can choose a menu and order for the day after tomorrow didn’t work very well, often not everything was cooked, then they were replaced with a regular dish, confusion, waiters , who only work for the first days, cannot figure out who, how much, what dishes. Yes, even at dinner they gave wine 
That's all that can be said about the boarding house.

I did not like the village of Koktebel very much. It is worth going on a boat trip along Kara-Dag, going to the dolphinarium, the Voloshin House-Museum, to his grave on the top of Mount Kuchuk-Enyshar, you can go on an excursion and tasting at the winery. For fans - a water park.
But in general, the rest was good, the sea is clean, nothing else spoiled the mood.
