Title: CAREFUL EVIL MANAGER) Lotus Hotel

I want to make a reservation right away that we generally liked the village of Santa Barbara (they were in July 2010):

• quite quiet and calm

• there is a small market with fruits and vegetables, a Massandra brand store, several household and grocery stores

• the sea near the hotels is immediately deep - 1.5 m, clean enough, we saw dolphins

• calm beaches with bananas, shish kebab and baklava don't get much

• in the village of Utes (climb 150 meters up from Santa Barbara) there is a good park of the sanatorium Utes (the former estate of the princes Gagarins), in the far corner of the park a gorgeous view opens up from the cliff

• a problem with transport (it is advisable to go with your own or rented car); minibuses go to Yalta several times a day, you can’t take tickets in advance

• the number of places where you can eat is limited (we recommend "At Katyusha", in the restaurant "Korona" they are simply blatantly deceived)

• there is a problem with the Internet (I needed it for work) - there are in several hotels, in the second line - an Internet cafe, be sure to check

• general beaches - "pebbles" (fragments of some building material) and concrete groins near boathouses (by the way, very comfortable)

• you can ride a yacht … from entertainment, perhaps, everything

• in the second line and in the center of the first it stinks of sewage treatment plants (we don't know if this is always the case or occasionally)

Hotel Lotos, manager Elena Vladimirovna - BE CAREFUL

Last year, my wife and I decided to go to the Crimea for a few days (she was 7 months pregnant and we canceled long trips). We wanted to relax closer to the sea, but on the South Coast. We chose the village of Utes. According to the reviews, they wanted to get into the Ai-Todor hotel. Looked at the reviews and agreed.

Active communication with the manager lasted exactly until the moment the prepayment was sent by Western Union transfer to Alushta in the name of a certain Zara (ZARA ZAURBEKOVNA ABDULAEVA)... It looked extremely suspicious, but, knowing Ukraine and the local service, they were not surprised. The advance payment was 10% - approximately $100. After they sent the code to confirm the payment, the connection disappeared.

Letters remained unanswered, no one confirmed the reservation to us. The first call to Elena Vladimirovna also did not give anything - she said that no one had yet gone for the money and they had not yet received an advance payment, so they could not confirm the reservation, and they did not answer letters, because. they have!! ! Attention !! ! the computer is broken.

I made the second call just before leaving. He asked me to send a route - how to get to Utes and how to find boathouse No. 9 there. They didn’t send us the route, instead they offered to meet us on their own transport for some money, citing the fact that “few people know how to get there. ” This option did not suit us, because. there were business in Simferopol and we did not know what time we would leave from there. We agreed to call after our arrival in Simferopol from a new number (if we connect).

As a result, we arrived in Simferopol, did our business, took a taxi and drove off, we couldn’t get through to the manager from the Moscow number (when the respected Elena Vladimirovna called from Moscow, she didn’t pick up the phone the first time, or even completely turned off the phone). On the way, it turned out that we should not go to Utes at all, but to the village of Santa Barbara, because. in fact, there are no boathouses in Utes. It was not possible to get through to the manager from the Moscow number again.

We arrived without incident, but they began immediately upon arrival. It turned out that according to the local numbering of boathouses, the ninth room is not rented out, but is a private property, where the owners spend weekends from time to time. Searching for the old name of the hotel ("By the very blue sea") did not return any results. For an hour, my pregnant wife and I ran with all our luggage through the streets of Santa Barbara. The phone of the highly respected Elena Vladimirovna was silent, and after forty minutes of unsuccessful attempts to get through, it turned out to be simply simply turned off. Checking e-mail with the hope of a response with clear instructions also did not give results.

It began to get dark and we urgently had to look for another place to live. We found it, fortunately, quickly enough, thanks to the owner of the hospitable hotel “Feet in the Sea”.

Naturally, we tried to find out what happened after all. They did not answer the calls, but they answered our letter with a request to clarify the situation. I will not bother with the details (I can send those who are interested in the full correspondence with Elena Vladimirovna), I will only say that the inadequacy of the response to our request to clarify the situation is difficult to overestimate. Dear Elena Vladimirovna, apparently, likes to correspond by e-mail. At first they promised to return the advance payment, then they refused. We contacted the management of the hotel (which, as it turned out, was right there in Santa Barbara, but the number was assigned according to the hotel’s own numbering and the site - in reverse order (actually, some kind of number 200). We passed by this hotel and on the first day, but no one met us there - the Lotos Hotel), the hotel management admitted the manager's guilt and promised to return the money, which we have been waiting for for several months.

Summary: hotel managers do not know how to work, customers are treated like their own debtors, the cost of the hotel is higher than the average for Santa Barbara.

Our case can only be qualified as fraud with all the ensuing consequences.
